We've been here a couple of times over the years. It's a little restaurant tucked away near the pool at the Four Seasons timeshare area, down the hill from the Park Hyatt resort (formerly Four Seasons many years ago). The lobby shares the entrance with the Spa I think. Free parking out front of this restaurant although parking was a bit questionable on this trip as they are doing some sort of construction and a lot of the spaces were taken up with the trucks/supplies. Large lobby area, very nicely decorated with cool light fixtures, hanging plants in interesting hangers and so forth. There's also a nice coffee bar in the lobby area. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side (6 booths or so and maybe 8 tables). In good weather they also seat you on the patio by the pool which can be nice. It's well-decorated and very relaxing going there. I've never seen it super crowded. We had a nice lunch yesterday with Christi as our server. She said she's relatively new but she's very personable and did a great job for us. In the past there used to be a Chef's Table dinner thing here. When we asked about it we were told they're just now planning to re-start offering this now that Covid restrictions are relaxed. Might be something fun to look into! The menu here is weird as it looks like extremely humdrum, generic American food classics. But don't be fooled! They're all done really well from what we've sampled and the food itself isn't boring. I will say, the first time we went here they had a lamb burger on the menu and it was fantastic. Please bring that back! It would go great with the toppings listed for the turkey burger. The day we were there they were offering bibimbap as an off the menu special. I didn't order it only because I was having something similar for dinner. We did order the following: Mocktails - we all had the King Fisher Cooler. It was nice and refreshing and a beautiful pink color. Love the fresh basil with it! Appetizer - Edamame hummus platter. Again, beautiful presentation. Great flatbread with this. Entrees - Fried chicken sando (tasty, big piece of chicken, the breading was shatteringly crispy and didn't want to stay on the chicken. It made a bit of a mess with every bite!). Short Rib Grilled Cheese - looked good, the person who had this said the short rib was very tender Black Angus Burger - the person who had this said it was a winner. It looked fabulous and I'd order it next time. The side of black garlic aioli we shared as a dipping sauce for the fries and it was fantastic. Winter Squash Soup - nice big bowl, but the person who ordered it said the coconut milk in it got a little overpowering with that much of it. Kid's Quesadilla and fruit - It's a quesadilla. The fruit was cute in a little rainbow of melon slices, but the melon is horribly out of season so mostly didn't taste all that great. Sides - Fries, Truffle Fries and Fruit. Fries were nicely fried! I hate a limp/undercolored fry. These were good. Truffle fries were also a nice option. Get the black garlic aioli to dip in, yum. Didn't have dessert on this visit but I recall their in house made gelatos and sorbets being really good. It's a little overpriced for what it is, but it's at the Four Seasons. Kind of expected? There aren't a ton of sit down, "nicer" casual restaurants in the area, so this is a great option. Seating review: I kind of hate their chairs. They are stylish, with lots of thin bands making up the sides/back, but very uncomfortable for those of us with bigger hips! The booths are really wide, they can easily seat 3 per side which is different. Requires a bit of scooting if you're in the middle. B for seating, but the place is rather stylish so I guess it was looks over comfort. read more

We drove up on a Saturday and stopped for lunch at Season's restaurant at the Four Seasons. We had Eric as our server who couldn't have been nicer. He guided us through some brunch choices, which included bottomless mimosas. We sat outside on the patio poolside and enjoyed Aviara/Carlsbad's always-perfect weather. Stayed at the hotel so I had multiple dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant also provides room service to the hotel. The dinner menu changes so many of the food items reviewed earlier are no longer offered. The highlights: Caesar salad is really good. They fry capers, grate egg, and the dressing is great. If you add chicken, it's really moist and flavorful. House made ricotta on sourdough. Delicious. It's got a tang of sweet and salty. Very nice. Fish tacos. Had this twice it was so good. Comes with mango slaw and a really good salsa verde. For breakfast my favorite was the French omelet. All the breakfast items are good but the French omelet was my favorite. It a simple omelet with cheese in the middle. Comes with a very simple but very good side salad. BTW the French fries here are fantastic. My kid orders fries everywhere so we've had a lot. This is one of the best. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft it the middle. This is how a fry is supposed to be. Overall their menu is one of the best I've ever had for room service and the restaurant is really good. They have a ton of gluten free and veg options if that's a concern. read more

This place is a bit difficult to find, you have to go through the winding road of the property. It is fancy yet casual. The interior of the restaurant is small, but their outdoor seating is absolutely beautiful. The food. I can't say enough good things about the food! For appetizers we had shrimp which had a nice cream sauce, corn and a little bread to soak up the juices. We also had their calamari and it was crispy and not greasy. Next up we both ordered steaks which were the perfect pinkness. Their dessert menu has 6 items varying from chocolate dishes to an apple pie and offer different espresso based drinks. I didn't realize this is the restaurant within the Four Seasons Hotel when I reserved it, and once I realized it, I wasn't expecting much given it's a hotel restaurant. However, I was pleasantly surprised! Parking: self parking and free right in front of the restaurant. Ambience: It's an indoor/outdoor patio restaurant, situated next to their pool. It's such a relaxing place to brunch or have a cup of coffee. Food: Everything was delicious. We had their egg Benedict and it was great. Coffee was delicious as well. We came here on a Saturday for brunch, we were greeted by the hostess and promptly seated. Our server was very friendly and so was the bartender. It was a rainy day and a perfect time for brunch. Great place to go for coffee/breakfast after a walk at the Batiquitos Lagoon. Your group can order separately at the coffee bar inside the restaurant and then sit out on the lovely patio. They will bring your food out to you while you enjoy the beautiful gardens near the pool. I just had a bagel but others ordered egg dishes that looked amazing and received rave reviews. I selected the Seasons restaurant so that my friend and I could have a nice, relaxing dinner before an event we were attending. I don't know if this was unique to the day that I was there, or if this is a common occurrence, but the restaurant was filled with very young children, who were squalling and crying and very loud. Of course, I would never blame the restaurant for that, as they can't control their patronage, and do not turn away children. However, if you are looking for a mostly child-free evening, I would recommend someplace else. Seasons also had a very loud, very bad keyboardist, who was playing and singing and ruining many of my favorite songs. LOUDLY. Even though she was out on the patio/terrace, and we were inside, this did not save us from the caterwauling and the concomitant headache. We had a 6:45p reservation, so I was praying that she stopped at 7:00p. She did not. She did not stop until 8:00p. Her playing and singing ruined what might have otherwise been a pleasant dinner. Furthermore, on the patio/terrace where she was playing, it was absolute child pandemonium. Toddlers were running around and screaming or crying. And while they are certainly the parents' responsibility, and not the restaurant's, it was not appreciated during a nice dinner. I imagine Seasons was aiming for "ambience," but the keyboard/speaker/microphone setup was FAR too loud to be considered background music. All of that having been said, the food was good, and our waiter was lovely. We noticed that some of the lightbulbs have burned out on the stringed lights, which we don't expect from a Four Seasons property. My companion, who formerly worked for a Four Seasons property, commented that a burned-out lightbulb was not acceptable at his location. We counted four. We had picked a Four Seasons for its reputation. Standards are lower at this Seasons. I will absolutely not go back. I wanted a relaxing evening, but what I got was a massive headache. read more

What a lovely experience! Drinks were great, food delicious, and atmosphere fun and inviting. Our server, Jorge, was seriously the best. He made us feel like special guests, and was very attentive and generous. We already want to come back! My cocktail was fresh and the Chardonnay was impressively good for its price. We started with the bread, followed by the autumn soup (so warm, cozy and festive), as well as the grilled avocado salad - which we split. That's got to be one of the best salads in town. Went in on a Saturday afternoon wanting just a quick drink, and ended up staying a little longer as they were having a Cinco de Mayo special I just had to try! My bartender Matt sold me on their chips, salsa, and marg deal, which was so good! Matt's AvoCucumberMint margarita was so surprisingly delicious, I was not expecting to like avocado in a cocktail but it was creamy and fresh. I had the three course lunch with a caesar, burger, and a lemon tart. The burger was one of the best burgers if not, the best burger I've ever had. My wife really enjoyed her fish tacos as well and the truffle fries were to die for. The property is really nice as well. They had a playground for kids on the property which my son loved. We were staying at the Omni Resort about a mile from Seasons. We had already dined at the Vue and Bobs Steak House and wanted something close so we headed to Seasons. Beautiful place. First let me say that I have never experienced such condescending attitudes in my life and I was truly shocked to my core. There were four of us. Me and my husband and my friend and her husband. The waiter was just plain horrible and if I had heard from someone else the comments and attitude that occurred I wouldn't believe it. But this is a true account of the events. From the moment we were seated the waiter made us feel like hillbillies coming to a three Michelin star restaurant (which Seasons is not) and treated us as if we had no culture or refinement. He treated us like we're were eating with our feet. I kid you not. It started with the first words out of his mouth. "You all are dressed up for an event with those checkered shirts" referring to the two Hispanic men wearing a flannel and the other weather a checked pattern button down shirt. No, just out for a Saturday dinner. I asked for butter for the amazing cornbread to which he responded to me with a disgusted look, "oh ok I will get you cooking butter". We never even got the butter. Before the butter dig, another serving staff almost gave our table an appetizer that belonged to another table. This man (waiter) viciously slammed the server and spoke down to him in front of us about how it would have been "screwed" if he had placed the appetizer on our table because it would have been ruined. The said serving staff was great throughout the night. The serving staff was personable, great attitude and very helpful. My friend ordered the Black Angus burger and the waiter said it would be the best burger she would ever have. Once the burger was served, he asked her how it was? To which she responded "good". Again with a disgusted face, he said to himself (I think) "she said good". Again challenging our opinion as if we don't know a good burger when we have one. I ordered the Streak Frites. The food was great. My friend asked what about desert and that she didn't see any deserts on the menu to which he responded "this is the type of restaurant where the deserts are not on the main menu", the tone was condescending and he is rude. He is the worst type of rude because he delivers his condescending words with a smile as if we are too stupid to understand. His overall attitude was that he is superior to us. I believe and as I said before, I've never experienced this type of abuse in my 54 years, that because our party of four didn't match the their normal clientele that he treated us the way he did. We asked to split the check. The waiter treated us like second hand citizens while he was the superior human being. We asked to split the check. My half was $110 and some change. The other half was being paid by my friends. The superior human can't do math and only charged her $10. As I said, the place is beautiful, the wait staff are amazing but this waiter needs a reality check. He should not treat people the was he treated us. There was more condescending comments and attitude but honestly I am still shocked at his behavior and can't recall it all. It was shocking. I thought I was being punked when we tried to eat here. I have never had such horrible service anywhere affiliated with the four seasons. We arrived at 3:32 pm the Friday of 4th of July weekend to an empty restaurant. The hostess said walk ins stopped at 3:30pm and after everyone needed a reservation because it was 4th of July weekend. We said it was empty and that we would be quick but refused to sit us because we arrive 3 minutes after their window! Since we need a reservation my wife went on to open table and made a reservation for 3:45pm, the earliest available. There was plenty of availability! So we reserved a table and walked back to the hostess and told her we now had a reservation and would like to be seated. By now it is 3:37pm. She said that we shouldn't have been able to do that. I said this is what you asked us to do, can we please be seated. She refused to sit us until 3:45pm and asked that we return in 8 minutes! I couldn't believe my ears. I asked if she was kidding and she said no. I asked if we could just be seated and order whenever the kitchen opens and they can ignore us until 3:45. She said no. Wooooow! There was another male employee who insisted this was the policy. We ended up leaving and had a much better experience at Chandlers where our business was appreciated. Anyways, pretty pathetic service. I have never experience such bad service in such little time. No attempt to make it seem like they wanted or business and did everything they could to push us away. Obviously these employees have very poor leadership as well because they were not empowered and treated every interaction with us very transactionally, by the book, and that it is a black and white decision. Won't be coming back here and will definitely be choosing other hotel chains when I have the option. read more

We had Jorge for both our drink service on a Friday night and Saturday for dinner! We also had breakfast Sunday before we left. He was very accommodating to my 1 year old daughter, and attentive to my family and I. We received our drinks and food quickly, and we loved our food! My dad at the chipotle, steak pasta special and it was delicious! I also have the cheese and charcuterie board as my dinner and it was filling! Breakfast was delicious!! The breakfast sandwich was delicious and cooked perfectly! The Aviara Moonwalk was my drink of choice and it was very refreshing. It's a small restaurant, and we were definitely close to the people next to us. Luckily my daughter was on good behavior otherwise the quarters were so close I would have had to leave. It was pricey, something you'd expect for a resort restaurant, especially for the Four Seasons. But it's worth the price. The service was quick and friendly and the food was very good! read more

Came here for breakfast while staying at the Hyatt and it was good. I got the savory oatmeal risotto, the oatmeal was good but the toppings were just thrown on. Felt like they used the same base for their sweet and savory oatmeal with different toppings. The portion was very hearty and I ate the toppings with some of the oatmeal. I also got the seasonal fruit (good portion and quality) and vegetarian sausage (loved that they have that option for vegetarian people). I also got the oatmilk latte which was great. We normally don't expect much from hotel restaurants since they usually just overcharge for the convenience and you get mediocre food. During both of our stays here at the resort, we had a few meals at the restaurant since we had a baby in tow and, logistically, it was just easier to eat on-site rather than finding a place outside the resort. The food was actually, to our surprise, delicious! Service was awesome and the prices were pretty reasonable for a 5-star hotel IMO. We had poolside service for lunch one time and both the service and food were great also! Next time we decide to do another road trip down south, we will definitely be staying here and trying out their new seasonal menu! read more
