I drove it off the lot and four days later my car overheated on my way to work. I was stuck outside in 28° weather for 3 1/2 hours. (Tow #2.) They took it back again said they fixed it. Put a new thermostat and some other things and acted like they were doing me a favor because they weren't charging me! I pull the car off the lot and made it to 320th (the lot is on 333)and it made some weird banging noise and shut off. (tow #3) Got it back they claimed it was "All fixed" I made it to work, 17 miles and on my way home 3miles from work It overheated again. (Tow #4)This time, I took it to Buckys who has informed me that because the car kept overheating, I have a blown head gasket that is not covered by the Warranty along with something else (warranty did a partial cover) caused by the car overheating so many times. I now have to pay out of pocket $2400.00 the warranty did cover $3100 for the other issue. Since I don't have a spare car just chillin, I have to pay for a rental for 4 weeks! I would NOT recommend this business to anybody, it's shady and they like to say, oh well it's a used car, We don't really know what could happen after you drive it off the lot. All of the salesman use the same line, like it's in embedded into their Brain! The closer is a fast slick talker! PLEASE STOP PRETENDING THAT YOU'RE FIXING CARS WHEN YOU'RE NOT. The young salesman who drove me home for the 3rd time said, the mechanic is a little rusty, but he'll take care of you! Hahaha take care of me... because of their shenanigans, they caused MORE DAMAGE THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR. Think twice before you go there, they're very excited to say that they have a 4.7 rating. I had to get a new fob and both keys cut, but was told there's mysterious 3rd key out there somewhere by the programmer. I've always been afraid to buy used cars with the impression that I'm paying for something that has…read morebeen worn and used. Also, why sell a car unless there are problems with it, right? My BF did some convincing for a few months before I started looking into used car dealerships. That's when I found Matthew Motors! Never once did I feel the pressure from them the entire time I was there. They just gave us the key to the 4runner we saw online and all the time we needed with the car. We tested the car as best as we could before finalizing the paperwork. I still remember before signing the papers, I asked what happens if there's something wrong with the car as I noticed the car was sold "as is" on the paperwork. They said to just give them a call and talk to them "after all, they are not in the market to sell defective cars". Fair enough. That same day, I drove 4runner around and my worst nightmare came true. THE. HORN. DIDN'T. WORK. Of course, I tested every button in the car BUT the horn *facepalm*. I immediately called them then took the car back the next day so they can have a look at it. Long story short, I had to take it to Toyota to get it diagnosed since they couldn't figure out what was going on. Toyota charged us over $500 just to DIAGNOSE what was going on and when I got the car back, two panels were missing, the cruise control and none of the buttons on the steering wheel worked. They insisted the issue was the spiral cable needs to be replaced which also caused the horn to fail.....alright(*eye-roll*) I took the car back to Matthew's Motor, gave them the diagnosis that Toyota gave me, then Jacob and Levi got to work. Not only did they get the horn working again, but they were also able to get the buttons on my steering wheel plus the cruise control working again(which apparently Toyota didn't plug my car back). Jacob and Levi, if you're reading this, I just want to say "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" PLUS, the entire time I left my car there, Brian was extremely responsive to text and kept me updated with the status of my car at all times. I will recommend this dealership to all my friends and family and anyone I ever talk to around the Seattle area who is looking for a used car. They are an honest business, will do everything to make things right even though they contractually didn't have to.
