I was super excited to visit the Growers Market, especially since it's open to the public only on weekdays from 10:00am-1:00pm. I went on my birthday because my partner wanted to surprise me by letting me pick out my own flowers, especially at the main source that supplies all the beautiful bouquet arrangements at the local grocery store we often go to. When I arrived, I almost got the feeling that no one wanted us there. I kept telling myself, "OK, maybe this might just be a Seattle thing", and went about perusing the shop. No biggie. I went home with a bunch of beautiful warm-toned ranunculus and seasonal poppies. It has only been less than 24 hours, and a few of them have already died. I'm a bit bummed because I have experience with these specific florals, and I really thought to myself they would last for another week because they weren't fully bloomed when I chose them out. The ranunculus bunch wasn't cheap either. (Maybe I just happened to be there on a day where the flowers have been sitting in the store for a few days. Not a fresh batch. I don't know...) The Growers Market has a beautiful and unique assortment of locally grown seasonal flowers, and it's fun to be able to choose what you want to DIY your own floral arrangement. Seeing all the plants and being in a room full of them definitely made me happiest, and I love shopping locally. Although I feel a bit bummed about my experience, I think I'm willing to give this place a second chance. read more

My daughter ordered over $200 worth of whilt flowers for her Saturade 9/17/22 wedding. When we picked the flowers up I did not have her order list but I asked the person at the Music Shop where we were to pick up the flowers if they could check the order because there were so few flowers. She assured me that was the entire order. I noticed right away that two of the bundles of flowers were dirty and had broken stems. When I got back home And checked the order that had been paid in full I realized that: 1. only 5 calla Lillie's instead of 10 2. no freesias ( 2 bundles ordered) 3. no statis 4. Over half of the snap dreaming were broken and dirty They did reimburse me for $100 but it made the day before going to the wedding venue a nightmare as I drove from flower shop to flower shop to try to find more white flowers at any price. Also my daughter's all a Lilly bouquet looked quite sad missing half the flowers. The entire experience was extremely frustrating and diasspointing. read more

I can only speak as a public customer (not a florist). If you're the same, just skip it. You won't get any deals here despite "Wholesale" in the name. You'd be better off just going straight to one of the neighborhood or Pike Place Farmers Markets. The good: The selection is beautiful, more unique and there are more variations than what you'd find at a grocery store or probably local Farmers Markets. You could come here and just get a unique bundle or two to help spruce up an otherwise standard bouquet elsewhere. The cons: It's VERY expensive for what you get. I probably have enough florals to make 2-3 bouquets that are around the size of the $25-$30 bouquets at a Farmers Market. Unfortunately, it cost me $200. Prices are not clearly marked for most florals (they're posted to 1 bulletin board and you would have to know the exact flower type in order to get an idea of pricing). So you do not find out your total until you check-out. Then, you're left in the awkward position of having to downsize at the register when all of the sudden a few bundles comes to $300+ like mine did. The staff also didn't seem to know their own promotions, and/or the item codes don't have these promotions tied to them. I had to remind the cashier that 2 of my bundles were supposed to be "1/2 off". She then asked me if there were any other discounted bundles in my order. Lastly, the receipts are not itemized. I still have no clue what the different florals came to. I know I got rid of the most expensive two (1 garden rose bunch for $64, and a different bunch for $30+) but I assume the rest were about $10-$20 each based on the range on the pricing sheets. It's a space meant for professionals who know exactly what they're looking for and are getting the wholesale prices. Which is okay! But be warned it's a VERY hands-off, higher-priced experience if you're just a regular Joe. There were 3 other people there for the first time also and all of them/us had to seek out an associate to understand the process, pricing, etc. It's not intuitive by any means. Or cost effective. Or convenient due to the limited public hours and appointment only. If you're a florist, I'm sure it's great! I just don't know that there should even be public days if the org isn't going to actually accommodate public shoppers (clear pricing, clear process, being upfront about it not being wholesale for us, etc.). read more

Went to pick up some flowers at 'open to the public' hours on Friday. Spent easily 5 times more than 'normal' stores... Flowers were extremely beautiful, but quality was crap... All done opening and breaking stems in 2 days. Do not recommend for anyone... Now I know why florists are so expensive and the glowers never last... read more

Came in for the public hours on Friday to peruse. Ive been following them on instagram for a while now and finally got the chance to check them out in person. As with other reviews the rating is based on the pricing at this place. Everything on the public days is twice the listed price. The listed prices to me seemed more like retail pricing. $40.00 for a 6in non-fancy anthurium is out of control. I wouldn't even pay $20.00 for a "wholesale" cost. Since it was the end of the week the selection of flowers was "picked over" as they described. The quality of what was left matched what you would expect after a week of people coming through and pulling out the best. I could see myself returning to purchase some wood and specialty items in the future but that's it. Im sad because I wish I could do more to support a local company. read more

This review is for retail purchasing, not wholesale. I was looking to purchase some inexpensive baby's breath and greens for a few table arrangements and had luck in the past going to public hours of wholesalers. I've been to a couple other wholesale markets in another state and this was a very different experience; instead of a bustling facility with every kind of flower/ plant you could imagine, it was a small, quiet section of a warehouse with a few tables and a modest selection of greens, flowers, dried flowers and misc. floral items such as gnarled branches and tree bark. I was told that all prices listed were double for retail, which would have been fine, except that only 12 items had prices on them. When I asked the staff person about pricing, I was given a wholesale price list, but it was hard to determine exactly which item was which as most were not labeled. While the items they had were nice looking, it was REALLY expensive- far more expensive than you'd pay at a normal store or florist or Pike Market (ex. small bunch of eucalyptus was $13, 10 garden roses were $72). If you want to shop there, I recommend calling as callers were given priority over people there and given great service. It's probably good for wholesalers (I don't have a frame of reference for wholesale pricing), but it's quite expensive for retail. Not a bad experience- there's parking, the facility is nice looking, the staff were friendly and the flowers etc. were nice, just really expensive and not really set up for retail customers. read more
