However, after waiting longer than anticipated due to "technical difficulties" with the buzzer, my party was already on frustrated with our experience. That on top of the hosts' choice to seat us out of shot of a fan which was frankly quite miserable. Food can only be described as average -- at least what my party ordered. Not our favorite. The three stars were earned by atmosphere and great staff. From the hostess to every server we met, all great people who seamed happy and friendly. The restaurant has plenty of seating options. Indoor, outdoor, and lots of fresh air throughout. However, the food was not great. Husband had the most expensive meal on our bill, an average Caesar salad. I ordered Mahi tacos and while the fish was well cooked and yummy the flavors were just not there for me. Bland and boring. I also ordered sweet potato fries. They were completely covered in sugar. So much sugar. I mean, if you wanted dessert maybe they would work? Neither were what I was hoping for. I came here with my family on a small day trip to the beach. We dined in during quarantine. The tables were spaced far enough apart, and there were lots of sanitizer stations throughout the building. The staff were all wearing masks (some were even wearing gloves). Some of the waitresses and hostesses were not wearing their masks properly the whole time, but our waitress did great! The service was excellent and exceeded expectations! The po boy was excellent (especially the bread)! The mahi tacos were delicious. They weren't the best tacos I've ever had, but they were definitely appetizing. The hush puppies and the nachos are definitely a must have at this restaurant! We waiting at the table for 10 minutes before someone greeted us. After we waited outside in the cold to find out where to sit. Our server was very kind after she got there. I liked her and I know that she was very busy. When I ordered the ahi tuna nachos she suggested the nachos coming on the side. I loved her suggestion because I didn't want to eat very many of them anyway. The meal came and it was just so plain and blah. No taste. It was so tasteless that I ordered a side of ranch and it still didn't help. My son ordered the blackened mahi tacos. The chips and salsa that came with it were delicious. Definitely a fan of the salsa. His tacos were very filling but the mahi tasted off. The restrooms were in the bar area and they were really dirty. I also waited at the bar for a drink for a while. I wasn't expecting that cause a single woman standing alone usually gets noticed a lot sooner. They weren't that busy. Not a good experience. I have been here before for the bar area and it was fun. Bar tenders are friendly, got seated pretty quick because they do table limits on busy nights. Food was great too. Sandwiches were solid and fries were well seasoned. Quite a popular place on a Friday night. The parking was getting scarce. My husband ordered a fried oyster basket. The oysters were large and perfectly cooked with plenty of crunch, served with cole slaw and fries at a really good price. I ordered one of the dinner specials which was pan seared scallops in some sort of reduction, served with vegetables and rice pilaf. I asked for cole slaw in place of the veg. The scallops were outstanding! Cooked to perfection which is critical with scallops. One minute too long in the pan and they're chewy. The rice was also very flavorful. This place was highly recommended, by we never even made it to the table. With a group of six, and after a long wait, it was apparent to us that turnover to maximize profit is not an objective here. Lots of large tables with only one or two people sitting at them, who wind up staying after their meals for live music. The end result is that a group of six waits an hour, and then walks because there was no end to the wait in sight. We would try again but what we learned is that you have to be very early here, particularly if live music is playing, because people won't leave when they are done with their meals. Just a visitor passing through town, and boy was j glad to stop! First off, all the staff were phenomenal! So attentive and accommodating when one of our group had a severe allergy. They would go out of their way to communicate that the chef is aware and make any possible allergy dishes known immediately. When I walked in, I was expecting typical touristy seafood bar food. However, I was met with such delicious dishes! Our table tried the seafood chowder that blew me away. Our favorite was the shrimp bruschetta. The atmosphere was a very local and welcoming vibe. So much so we came back on Saturday which was way more crowded but socially because... COVID. It was a very uneven dinner experience. The quoted 30min wait turned out to be an hour. We weren't in a huge rush so waiting at the Tiki Bar wasn't onerous - nice setting, good people-watching, drinks small-and-weak. On the way to the table the hostess told us there was a 2-hour max allowed and we would have to leave by 9:15. Wouldn't have been a big deal except service wasn't exactly jet - it took 30min to get drinks and an appetizer in front of us, just under an hour more to get dinner in front of us. If we'd've wanted dessert or a drink we obviously would have exceeded our time allotment. Food was pretty good (assortment of shrimp, chicken, sandwiches, etc. - note: there aren't many vegetarian options), and while slow, service was pleasant. Also a plus was the live music - easily heard but not blaring. Price was reasonable for a resort town. Don't know if you can make a reservation, if you can I'd probably go back and give it another try. read more

We had the ahi tuna nachos, fried shrimp basket and seafood combo platter with fried oysters and fried grouper. The ahi tuna nachos is a must get. The tuna is lightly seared with sesame seeds and really fresh. The mango salsa really adds the refreshingness to this dish. The guacamole and wasabi aioli really brought it together. Pro tip from our waitress, def get the wonton chips on the side. We loved the rest of our food as well. They give you so much fried oysters! The drink deals were a great plus as well. On a Friday night around 7:30pm it was not busy. Food arrived quickly. Ordered Ahi Tuna nachos, which is a large amount that can pass for a meal for one person. It was a creative appetizer but not that impressive. There was a limited amount of avocado and wasabi dressing. There was plenty of ahi tuna but it was not that cold. The chargrilled oyster appetizer was good if you like a rich creamy spinach topping. The topping flavor was too overwhelming to taste the chargrilled flavor of the oysters. My meal companion's shrimp in his shrimp and grits was cooked perfectly-still had a slightly firm bite. He enjoyed his meal. The restaurant is very spacious for people to stand and hang with good amount of seating both inside and outside. They had a live band playing that was nice to listen to. FYI, a lot of people were smoking cigarettes outside right next to outside tables, where we were sitting. Waitress was attentive in refilling our drinks.
