Ok this place is tricky. I've had the best avocado toast EVER and the best coffee ever then I will go back and it's just average. No consistency at all! What a neat place! When you walk in for the first time you are greeted with a cafe that (in my opinion) presents itself in a very thoughtful modern approach, allowing its organic, simplistic, clean atmosphere to speak for itself. I really enjoy/love a place that is created around thoughtfulness and intention. On a different note-My boys love it-especially the ham and cheese croissant. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!!! We are obsessed with this little coffee shop! Great bagels (coming from a group of New Yorkers.) I used to go quite often but just don't enjoy it anymore. The coffee and food are great. Several of the employees not so much. In my AM coffee routine I want to be greeted in a friendly manner and be answered when I say good morning or hello. I don't care how cool you think you are, skip the attitude. Please. Thank You. I was tired of the same old breakfast options in Mt. Pleasant, so I googled to see if anything else was available. Collective Coffee came up and I was very surprised I had not heard of it yet. My friend and I visited for breakfast. What a treat! We ordered omelets with bacon on the side. The food was excellent! The omelet was prepared just right, the bacon was crisp, and I don't know what kind of bread they use, but it was perfect (toast). I love the interior - sparse but hip. The tables were custom made according to our server, and were elegant but simple. There was rough hewn wood on the walls and a burlap back rest for the bench seating. I am almost at a loss for words about this place! How can I possibly describe its greatness?! First off, the overall look of this business is inviting...mainly because it's just so simply decorated. Second, the coffee! Oh my god, the coffee! I got the mocha latte and I was in heaven! The rich, milky, chocolate foam lasted to the very last drop. It was the perfect drinking temp and the perfect mix of coffee, cream, and chocolate. Third, my lunch was to die for. Just a simple salami sandwich and bagel chips brought to a whole new level. The sandwich was topped with fresh mozzarella, an olive tapenade, and arugula. So fresh and delicious! The bagel chips were made from the stores variety of bagels...so with each bite you got a little something different... Touch of cinnamon here, a little salt there, you get the idea. Had lunch for first time at collective. I have stopped in a handful of times for coffee and always had good results and kept thinking to come back to try the food. I tried the shrimp tacos because I love tacos. Two amurican sized tacos with perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp. Tortillas were typical flour not house made. Dressing was very good but a little rich for an authentic taco. Overall I liked the food and would try other menu items. And they seem to serve all the breakfast items thru the day read more

Stopped by this place because a) it was close to our hotel, and b) it has a couple of tables outside and we had our pup. We were VERY pleasantly surprised! Decor is modern yet warm, food is very reasonably priced and most importantly, the food/coffee is just plain delicious! Even the toast seemed to have some sort of crack in it (not sure if I'm allowed to say that, so let me clarify and say that I'm joking...). I come here often - sometimes on the weekend and sometimes to do work. I almost always get the avocado toast with a fried egg and a cappuccino. It never disappoints! Found this place by accident. Nicest people working there, most beautiful cup of latte, and interesting way to give you water. Best thing though, was the latte was at the perfect temperature, did not need sugar, and maintained its pretty design until the last sip. Wonderful place! read more

I'm not "reviewing" the food here but just a comment about the very disappointing POOR service, to wit: - I was visiting with a business associate and we ordered turkey club sandwiches each - 5 minutes later one sandwich came and was not as ordered (no mayo or pickle, not) - 5 minutes later the sandwich arrived as ordered, no sign of the second sandwich - 17 minutes later still no second sandwich after two status inquires, during which time my associate was finished eating, so I informed the front cashier we had to go and requested a credit on my previous charge at which time she lectured me by sneering: "Have you ever worked in the service business ?" to which I incredulously replied: "why YES and I know good service from bad and how's 28 years of military service in my case for ya ?" They say the sandwiches are fine, but I'll NEVER be back to validate that.... read more

Collective Coffee Co gets 5 stars for sure. They have a large menu with something for everyone. Their breakfasts looked awesome, though I didn't order one. Unlike many coffee shops, this one has a ton of parking and seating! I loved all the random cups they used and the style of the shop. It has an industrial, but woodsy feel. read more

This is one hoppin' little place! Service is fast and coffee is good, as Counter Culture always is. I haven't tried any of their breakfast or lunch items, but the cinnamon rolls are decent -- nothing compared to Lost Dog's, but still good. Only minor issue is the lid placed on my to go cup was too loose, resulting in hot coffee spilling all over my hand. It's not that it didn't snap on, it just really was so loose it couldn't function. Not a fun car ride! Update*** The manager offered me a GC to come back and try a sandwich and another drink (this time the lid fit right.I guess before they had bought different lids from their norm) which was amazing!
