I had 3 sets of keys copied at security unlimited for my mailbox. I just tested them out. 2 of them were really tight to fit in and required an upward jiggle to open, the 3rd copy would not fit in at all. They do have a lot of other cool stuff there. They have a safe so big, that it would take a forklift to move. However, I was there to get my keys copied. A failed copy of a key is pretty much a deal breaker for repeat business. Lost my keys in westwood and was locked out of my Prius with no way to get back in, start the car etc. late Sunday night. I have roadside assistance so Geico set up an appointment with this company when I was locked out of my car and gave information on what kind of car I have, where I am etc. They even get a price quote. 22 minutes later (keep in mind its late at night and I need to get home) they call me to ask me what kind of key for the 04 prius, because they only have one type of key and unfortunately its not the right one. They were plenty courteous, but the fact that they didn't call me within 5-10 minutes, or verify with Geico (we were both on the phone with them at the same time) was not ok. I was waiting, and then had to get back on the phone with Geico for another 15 minutes just because they didn't deal with the question right away. read more

Wow! These guys were great! Experience, Friendliness, a sense of urgency and able to multi-task! I was in a real bind after the "smart" chip in my car key stopped working, the dealership literally wanted a small fortune to replace it. I called around after buying an OEM ( original equipment blank) on Amazon. Problem was that everyone either wanted to charge me the same or more as the dealership or they simply didn't answer the phone. Security Unlimited picked up the phone within a few rings and even though they were busy they made time to get me squared away. Straight answers and straight talk was a breath of fresh air and welcomed after the shady and unprofessional previous locksmiths I had called. One short conversation later they said they could cut the key and program it no problem but they needed to have the car there to do so. I used my valet key to rive over and at a scheduled time, they saw me as soon as I walked in. 20 minutes later and for a very reasonable price my car was re-keyed with factory precision. We were trapped and could not open our front door to get out! Okay, I exaggerate. We found a way to get out, but the latch on the door was catching and was nonetheless kaput. I would not recommend this locksmith. I needed a car remote programmed, so I called and brought it in, but it was apparently a tricky procedure, so I was asked to call back when the expert was in (a guy named Brandon). After a week of no call back, I phoned them again, and was told he was there, so I said I'd be there within 5 minutes, and was told to come in. I arrived in 3 minutes to learn that Brandon was too busy to wait. An attitude like that means he doesn't want my business. I recommend going somewhere else. read more

This locksmith is terrible and a liar, please take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of other locksmiths in the area. Took in my motorcycle ignition so he could make cuts/keys for it. We both examined the part brought in before I left. It was in perfect condition, him and I both know it. Yet he ran outside a couple minutes after dropping it off to tell me about the "huge crack" that was on it so he did not have to claim any responsibility for it. I looked at him in the eyes and said "you know we both saw there was no crack there, you must have just stopped and cracked it". Anyway, guy was not man enough to own up to it. Not only did he damage the part I brought in, but did not do the job. The keys still do not work. So he charged $60 to crack my part and didn't even do the job he was paid to do. Now I'm forced to just buy a new ignition and warn my friends about this liar. He could have just said this job was out of his realm and he wouldn't be able to fix it. Instead, he broke it and then didn't fix it in the end. Very disappointed in his character and his skills. read more

They're great, efficient, and highly professional guys but to make five duplicates from two originals, the total came out to nearly $10. Having made duplicates before for $1 apiece in the past -- less than six months ago, I wouldn't be surprised to find cheaper options elsewhere. The rubber to my 2007 Toyota Corolla broke at the attachment to the keychain and almost lost my only key! I went to toyota to find a solution to no avail..they recommended going to autozone to get a rubber key holder, which they did not have and recommended going to a locksmith so I decided to go to my local neighborhood locksmith that's been around for over 40 years and I'm sure glad I did when they decided that no rubber ring could secure the Key, the genius Todd had a great idea to drill a hole on the side of the rubber of the key and attach a ring! Which is way more secure than any other option of adding a rubber or key holder .After a very short time,he was finished and they only me charged me for the ring! Very nice guys the owner Bruce has been in the business since the 70's, and is very knowledgeable and kind .. I give this place two thumbs up and a big thank you for helping me find a solution !! I joined Yelp, so I can write this review. That's how awesome these guys are. I purchased a project bike, 82 Honda without a key. Called "Global" (another locksmith with 5 star rating)after reading that motorcycles are their specialty. Talked to Lior, he was very professional. I had manufacturer code, so it's basically making a key per code, not rekeying. I also explained that it's not urgent, and I live in the neighborhood, and could stop by at his convenience, so he doesn't need to charge me service call, just key making. He said he can do it for $150. Called "Security Unlimited" after that. They made me a key for $15. Todd even spent a lot of extra time to make sure that brand new key works well in 30 year old lock. Works perfect now. Even went extra, extra mile to hook me up with AAA so I didn't pay a dime. In these hard times every penny counts. Thank you Todd. My advice to other Yelpers is:"If it's not urgent, don't go to ER, it costs more" Same goes for businesses. Later I decided to re-key my house and he beat competition again. One of my company truck keys was misplaced and this place made me 2 copies for under $15. Granted my key didn't require a chip and I went with the fancier rubber grip type key. I cannot say enough about these guys. My key wouldn't turn in the ignition. I talked to four AAA drivers, a dealership and three other locksmiths. All of them said I needed a whole new ignition and quoted me anywhere from $280 to $450 to replace it. Todd showed me that the problem was two bent wafers in the ignition cylinder and fixed the problem quickly. He charged me less than $100 - way less than anywhere else. Actually I called him twice and he gave me the same exact quote but when I showed up he gave me a whole other price (higher obviously)... I was really surprised because on the phone he told me they charge the same for everyone when I asked him for a quote reference. Well thankfully Bruce the owner was there! He honored the quote I had originally received. They made me a copy of my car key that had chip technology and it came out just fine!
