Of course they supported the older white male in front of me and as soon as he finished, no one even said "thank you we will be with you in a minute". It is my mission to try all the vegan/vegetarian cafes in stl so of course I had to come to Seedz! As of right now they are not doing indoor seating, only outdoor. What I ordered: everything on the menu sounds delish, but I ended up going with the pad Thai. I LOVE that they use zucchini noodles. It makes the dish not as heavy. The sauce was a lighter version of a normal pad Thai sauce. The prices were normal for a vegan place! I felt slightly judged by the workers hahaha. If you're looking for a cute vegan cafe with delicious food, this is the place for you! Located in Clayton's DeMun neighborhood, Seedz has a casual yet trendy ambiance incorporating reclaimed wood with an industrial feel. The staff is incredibly friendly and well versed in their 100% plant based options and the dedication to fresh ingredients, healthy options, and cruelty free food blew me away. Their menu has a lot of variety and even my non-vegan/vegetarian friends have had nothing but good things to say. My favorite dish(es) are the Tempeh Caesar salad and wrap as I LOVE Caesar dressing and before Seedz, I had yet to find a vegan one that truly tastes like the real thing! While the prices were a little higher than expected for a cafe, the ingredients were so fresh and healthy that it became apparent why they are necessary (and worth it!). If you're on the fence about trying Seedz (or vegan food in general), I definitely recommend you give it a shot as Seedz truly sets the standard. read more

This place is located at the very cute Demun neighborhood, which I think is a huge plus. During COVID19 they are only doing take out and delivery so I just did takeout and went to the Concordia park right across the street to have my lunch. I have been trying out a lot of local healthy/vegan eats in the St. Louis areas. Though this place was very good. I would say it did not blow me away. The price was a bit high with regards to the quality. I did not think it was as reasonable as compared to other vegan eats. I ordered the breakfast plate and a red cleanse juice. The avocado toast included with the breakfast plate was just okay. Not the best avocado toast I have had. Scrambled tofu was a little salty. The juice was refreshing especially in hot weather. I think I would go back to this place again but only for the neighborhood and not because of the food. That's why I gave 4/5 stars instead of 3/5. read more

I began a plant-based foods diet about a month ago and was very happy to discover Seedz Cafe in the Demun neighborhood. I had lunch there on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm; there were several tables available. Restaurant is bright and clean inside; with additional tables outside on the sidewalk. I am not a donut fan at all, but I am obsessed with the vegan donuts at Seedz! I've tried the vanilla chai, raspberry, and birthday cake flavors and all have exceeded my expectations. They're super moist and coated with a thick layer of frosting. The donuts are still a bit too sweet for me to finish by myself. However, you can either split with someone else or save them for later as they taste just as good the next day. Each donut costs about ~$4 which can get pricey, but it's worth it! I think the main reason I like them is because they're more like mini cake and not quite as dense as true donuts. I've also only gone to the little coffee shop and not the actual restaurant. I keep browsing the brunch/dinner menus though so will need to try the food sooner or later. read more

Seedz Cafe is a pretty sweet spot for vegan food lovers. Fresh food prepared quickly and well, with lots of healthy and light options, healthy and hearty options, as well as pizza and dessert options for whatever type of meal or snack you're interested in. I've been here maybe half a dozen times. One of my favorite items is their tempeh caesar salad, and in general, their caesar dressing is my favorite 'creamy' vegan salad dressing I've encountered so far in my life, super tasty. The picture attached features a margarita pizza, a caesar salad, a caesar salad-wrap, and their winter 'rawvioli' salad. Fyi, you can order takeout through their website, but sometimes you won't be able to order their pizzas online -- I asked about it and they said they sometimes disable it because they have to manage how many pizza orders come in at peak times due to limited cooking capacity. But there's a simple work around: call and order over the phone, and you'll likely be able to order pizza and anything else you want, that way. read more

Literally the BEST vegan food in st louis. I have been here at least half a dozen times and every time I got something different, and was equally impressed with all of it. I drive 20 minutes out of the way to get food before work lol. The burgers are amazing, and the bbq tempeh is incredible- they have very good kombucha and cold pressed juices. Ive been a steak & potato man my entire life. We chose this restaurant ONLY because our special guest was Vegan. Needless to say our guest was very pleased. My wife had crab cakes and really enjoyed them. I had the "pretend" Burger which surprisingly was excellent. The owner and staff were just the best with a good sense of humor. I'll start by saying we were only in town for basically 24 hours and we ate here three times. The food is delicious, the servers are friendly and the atmosphere is nice too. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and if it's a nice day it is right across the street from a park to go eat outside there too. We did not have any issues with street parking. The cafe with coffee and baked goods is next to the restaurant (but there is another place between so don't be confused like we were at first). Sunday brunch was a different menu than Saturday. I highly recommend the "eggs benefit" (their vegan version of eggs Benedict). The seasonal smoothie (pumpkin because we were here in October) was 10 dollars which would have been enough to deter me but they were handing out samples and it was so delicious we couldn't resist. Our only complaint was that each of the three times we were there they had run out of something. That was disappointing because two of the times we went there for a specific menu item and they ended up running out of both. Other than that, highly recommend! read more

We came to Seedz on a Sunday around 10:30 there were tables available but it did start to fill up as we were leaving. I'm not a vegan, but I've come to love the experimental flavors Seedz presents in their food. They carry one of my all time favorite meals, Rawvioli. Thinly sliced beats (I swear you can taste the love and kindness that goes into slicing them in each bite) are stuffed with a walnut pesto then presented on a beautiful arugula blend. The cheese is scrumptious (and yes, vegan) and the dressing is to die for. Actually, just plan on getting a bottle of it to go. In addition to that, they make the best donuts in the planet every weekend. Each weekend presents new flavor profiles but you truly can't go wrong. This is a quaint little space tucked away in a building off a residential street. This vegan restaurant was a pick by my mom and she literally ate down! Practically scraped the plate clean! I can't say much about the food because I'm not big on plant based eating, but she thought it was amazing and gave it a rating of 9.9875... why all those numbers? I'm not sure, so just round up ha! From my personal experience however, I had that summer smoothie with the blue color to it and, it was definitely not what I was expecting. Yes, I knew it wasn't going to be that sweet with it being made from all natural products, but it just threw me off with how good it looked. If you like sweet drinking, I recommend maybe getting a lemonade or something because that was not that good. This place has been on my list of places to try and I am so glad I finally made it in! My boyfriend and I came ready to eat so we both got a sandwich and we also decided to try the chili mac (mac n cheese with chili). It didn't take long for us to get our food but it def wasn't crowded either. The first bite was the .... Malibu melt! - We both agree this was our favorite out of what we ordered. As soon as I took the first bite I looked at him and just said "mmmmmmmm.... sooo good!" Haha! I was already so happy we came here. I don't know how to describe the taste of the sandwich except that it was super tasty and my boyfriend said it hit the spot. We also had the .... Jackfruit cheesesteak- This was something new for both of us not really having jackfruit that didn't come out of a can at an Asian supermarket. It was delicious and the green peppers were fresh! I live the sauces they use here, it makes everything so freaking tasty. Lastly, we tried.... Chili mac - You get a giant bowl and it looks incredible. The mac and cheese part is good but the chili was too spicy for us and so we had to leave it behind. It is definitely on the medium to hot for a heat index if you aren't a spicy food lover. If you regularly eat spicy food and enjoy hot peppers, go for it. Otherwise, take it into consideration for your taste buds if you are sensitive to heat. I am going to be very honest... I fully expected to hate this place. Between the high prices and the dirty and unwelcoming looks I received from whom I assume to be the owner (older, blonde lady), I prepared myself for a disappointing dining experience. I almost walked out, but wanted to give the food a try so that I could write an honest review. I am so happy that I decided to stay. All of the employees, including the chef (but excluding that owner), were delightful. As I perused the board menu, the girl at the register (Sarah, if the name on my receipt was accurate) offered to assist. She happily answered my questions (there are no ingredient descriptions listed on the menu board so I had to inquire about the ingredients used), and if she didn't know the answer she asked another young lady, who eagerly came over with a smile and the answer. I was interested in the Rockin Mockin Tuna, but they were out. Instead, I ordered the Tempeh LTA (lettuce, tomato, avocado) without tomato, in a wrap - $10.95. I also opted for the Tropical Smoothie, after hearing the ingredients from Sarah, which included pineapple, mango, and coconut water - $8.95. After ordering at the counter, I found a seat inside. The long wooden bench is strategically lined with pillows, which is awesome for back comfort. The Tropical Smoothie came out shortly after I returned from washing my hands. What does a $9 smoothie taste like? Freaking amazing, that's what! It was better than Smoothie King, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, and Jamba Juice. The consistency was perfect; thick, yet not too thick. The flavor embodied the essence of "tropical." This smoothie should be the cover girl of island smoothies: easy, breezy, beautiful. If they brought in sand and a pond, they could charge resort fees. I loved this smoothie! The chef, Joe (if I heard correctly), was toiling away behind the glass across from where I was sitting. He confirmed that my order was sans tomatoes. As he reconfirmed what I wanted my wrap to include, he said "cheese." I have always hated cheese, even pre-vegan. He proceeded to say it's a cashew vegan cheese. I declined. My friend, who once owned a vegan restaurant in Chesterfield, had me try it and I hated it. The chef persisted. As he brought over a sample for me to try, he boasted, "You haven't tried MY (vegan cashew cheese)." By golly, he was right! It was yummy! The Tempeh LTA (ordered as a wrap) came with flavorfully cooked tempeh, cashew cheese, lettuce, avocado, and mayo-lined sprouted grain wrap. Everything tasted so fresh and clean, with a winning combination of flavors, including that vegan cashew cheese. (Thank you, Chef, for your persistence!) The dish came with round tortilla chips and a simple but delicious side salad. I inquired about the dressing on the side salad. It's justly called Goddess dressing, and is made with tahini and herbs. It may be my new favorite dressing; too bad I couldn't buy a bottle for the road. This dish is worth every penny of the asking price, and is on par with places like True Foods Kitchen. Yes, it is a little expensive, but the quality (remember, everything is organic too) makes it a great value. I do agree that parking can be a pain. Luckily, it was a beautiful spring day when I visited, so I enjoyed the walk. I hate that the owner's cold and unwelcoming demeanor almost made me miss out on this jewel. Maybe she has RBF; maybe she isn't a people person. If this is the case, she may want to steer clear of the business during business hours and let the current employees continue to work their magic. The chef, the other employees, and the amazing food make this place a 5-star eatery, and when I return to the STL, this will be one of my first stops. read more

I friggin love seedz!!! I dream about this little joint when I'm in denver. They're vegan forward, friendly and simply amazing. They do take awhile to get food out so make sure to give it some time. THE WAIT IS WORTH ITTTTTT!! I'm dairy free and so appreciative of their fine food. Tell me your secrets to your sauces! I MUST find out how they make their cheese sauce and green garden dressing. Pretty sure the ingredients in the juices and the smoothies are what make them distinctive, not the names: "om shanti elizer" or "zen dragonfly" don't mean anything. Ordered 2 juices and a dessert. Waited over 30 minutes. The manager did come over after 15 minutes and let us know the juicer was running at half speed. I just wish we were updated on the speed of drinks up front. While we waited, they did offer us water. -Om Shanti Elixer- greens, apple, pineapple, orange, cilantro. Was a bright green color, tasted mostly of greens and cilantro, did not have the sweetness or apple/pineapple/orange. -Emerald Fantasy- orange, apple, basil, cilantro, cucumber, tumeric. Was served a bright green color (photo online shows the drink as red). Tasted mostly watery cucumber and turmeric. No sweetness of orange or apple at all. Very reluctant to write this review because as a long-time vegan I know there are few quality vegan restaurants in St. Louis. That said, after consistently paying high prices for mediocre vegan food at Seedz - today was the tipping point for me. I ordered a variety of dishes to ensure I'd have something to eat of quality. Yet sadly, the beans and rice were the most enjoyable of everything. The Caesar salad was extremely soggy - to the point where the croutons were mush and the tempeh tasteless. I had to throw it out. The Mexican pizza had nothing distinguishing about it and had much of the same bland tempeh as well as bland vegan cheese. The fries were stale - looking oddly similar to the cheap pre-packaged sort in rancid oil - and no ketchup included. Truly disappointing. Did you fire your chef, Seedz? Just curious. read more

Like many other reviewers, I am not vegan, but my girlfiriend has an extreme dairy allergy, so... Seedz Cafe is crushing it. Love the LTA and Ocean Bowl. We shared both, which is a good way to go because the LTA has a lot of strong flavors, and might be a little too much to take down on ones own. It is pricey compared to a non vegan lunch, but you get what you pay for, and I thought the portion sizes were good. Nice place too, though I wish the ventilation was a little better, which is a common complaint of mine. read more

We also took some pastries to go and the spiced donut and chocolate chip cookie were also really good. We are staying in St. Charles for the week but thinking about returning here for dinner a second time this week while in town because there was more food on the menu we would like to try.
