I once read a British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) report which claimed that melting chocolate in a person's mouth caused an increase in heart rate and brain activity that was more intense than heavy kissing and also lasted 4 times as long. I really don't know about all that but I do know that chocolates of all kind have certain health benefits and that it tastes great. Everytime I visit a See's store, they always offer a sample and I like that. I never had an issue at this location (ie. store attendant wasn't nice, didn't offer assistance, long lines. etc.). Moving to their new location in the Los Cerritos Center, I think people don't know it's there anymore. Anyways, I'm not a huge chocolate fan but they do have a few items that I enjoy a lot. During the holidays, you can't go wrong with their box of Assorted Chocolates or Nuts & Chews (they're gift wrapped as well). I like their bite size Cafe Latte Little Pops. If you buy more than 2 boxes, each additional box comes at a lower price, so if you know what you want, it's better to stock up. They're not too sweet and 4 pieces are just 50 calories with 4 grams of sugar. This past Christmas, someone got me a can of their Toffee-ettes and they're the BOMB. Probably, not all that great for you if you eat a lot in one sitting but isn't this the reason why you go to the gym? Compared to the other chocolate retailers such as Godiva or Ghirardelli, See's Candy doesn't seem all that expensive. I guess I'm not a chocolate connoisseur since they all pretty much taste the same to me. What I want to make sure is that I'm not paying an arm and a leg unless I know that what I'm gettting is worth the price. Disappointing. For chocolate flavor, it tastes a little bland, instead of bittersweet, possibly because of corn syrup. I just ate three which were all gummy inside. In other instances, I think this is too salty. Maybe they don't use a lot of cocoa butter to keep the price down. Spoiled from years of Belgian chocolate, my father changed his mind about approaching the box once we told him it was See's. The assorted box doesn't have a paper that names its contents. The shells don't feel right, lacking a depth of flavor. There should be a bold fruit accent to compliment the chocolate instead of overwhelming it with something that's supposed to be caramel or marshmallow. They carry heart shaped boxes for Valentine's, even with a cat and dog on the cover. read more

I tried the dark Bordeaux and I ordered the premium dark chocolate 62% cacao bar. I loved my candies I got from See's and will definitely come back here. The customer service was excellent! The cashier offered chocolate chips after telling us it was national chocolate chip day. Was greeted immediately upon entering the store by Candace. The store was at the perfect temperature. Cool. Was offered a sample and she gladly gave me my favorite, Blueberry Truffle. Delightful. She was friendly and smiled often. She also offered specifics and upcoming promos upon check out. Also, ease of entry to this location in the back of the mall, between Dick's sporting goods and the movie theater is nice and convenient. In and out without the kiosk hecklers and such. My go to chocolate store for myself (Sugar-free Dark Almonds anytime, all the time) and for gifting. So easy to go online and order things for my friends and loved ones. Of course you have to pay for shipping but it just makes life easier for me. Need I say more? All I really know is the moment I start eating, you'll have to pry the box away from me or hide it somewhere because I'll keep coming back for more. Even when I'm not hungry, I'll keep eating. After recieving a text from mom that she wanted some lollipops (too hot to mail chocolate) I added this to my list of shopping. I have a store in Hawaii too but it is more expensive there than here on the mainland. I yelped a location and this popped up. I knew it was in a mall and tried to figure out what it was near and didn't find it. I ended up parking on the Macy's side and am happy I did! It was on the other side of Dicks sporting goods. Walking in, there was quite a few people in line and just one worker. I found the lollipops and stood in line. It went rather fast! Getting close to the counter, I was offerred a free piece of candy! That is always my favorite part! Checking out was fast and easy. I receieved a coupon for my next purchase and I can use it in Hawaii! I finished paying and was on my way. My sisters and I wanted to perform an exchange on a gifted 2lb box of the variety pack because we don't eat a lot of the chocolates in the preset boxes. Upon telling Catherine this, she immediately turned spicy on us. Wow I thought the See's ladies were supposed to be kind and sweet. So we're picking our chocolates from the case and she's not updating us on how much room we have left in our box. We asked her how much it weighed and she threw our box on the weight scale. It's really dangerous to come here with a certificate in pocket, and menses en utero. Merely displaying seasonal delights at the register draws the weak better than verbal solicitation. See's workers are always so cordial, and this location is no different. Also, if you want ingredient information, you can ask per item, because they do not issue a list. In researching online (used as a guide, not fact) I found some posts of representatives' emailed responses in reference to gelatin used or vegan queries. Many candies are not made with gelatin, but all are processed on the same machinery and may contain trace amounts. Only the Lollypops and Little Pops have no traces of gelatin because they are processed at a separate facility. I love the chocolate pops! Better yet, they make Pumpkin Spice (around Thanksgiving) and ROOT BEER! If you're vegan, or strict, opt out. Or, lower your inhibitions. just kidding! read more

I went to this See's Candies because their Long Beach store closed by the time that I got off work. When I arrived at the Cerritos store, there was plenty of time to shop. I know that I could have gone to their Lakewood store which closes at 7:00 but I would not have had time to browse the selections. The staff was super friendly and gave some good recommendations on what sort of chocolate to buy. (Milk chocolate, peanut allergies?, chewy, truffles). Can't beat chocolate to make co-workers happy. I was out within a half hour. The next morning, my coworkers delighted in chocolate bliss. read more

The employees here are friendly, especially Chelsea. I called earlier today to find out if a particular chocolate was in stock, as they were out at the Lakewood Mall See's. Chelsea was very patient, unlike most people I get on the phone, who tend to sound tired and rushed, or annoyed when I ask a lot of questions. Chelsea spoke slow and clear, did not sound rushed, and she sounded happy to answer each question I asked. She even checked to make sure they had what I wanted in stock. My phone kept cutting out and I had to call back three times, and each time, she maintained her profressionalism, and not once did she sound annoyed. BIG fail for See's Christmas 2017! 50% of my Christmas orders STILL have not been delivered even though the orders were placed on December 10th! Emails went unanswered when I became concerned the orders were not progressing as expected. My Mom and Son got nothing from me on Christmas this year but maybe they will get their orders December 26? I spend on average about 500.00 per holiday between my local Colorado Springs and See's online. I received an offer for a 5.00 gift card for my orders being delayed. If you cannot TRUST the companies that you do business with then move on because other companies out there will value your business. read more

My problem with See's is not the quality of their candy...in fact, I really like a lot of their products, especially their milk peanut clusters...I think they're the best of any I've ever tried and I've tried hundreds. The problem is that the milk peanuts have been out of stock for months and they won't respond to my emails to them asking about when they think they'll be able to restock. When they didn't answer two of my emails I sent through their site, I called their 800 number and received an abrupt response from one of their reps--"I don't know when they'll be restocked." When I asked why they were out of stock, the answer was: "They don't tell us." So, See's customer service department leaves a lot to be desired, first of all. Second, I would surely like to know from anyone on the planet with any information when, if ever, I can order one of my favorite candies. read more

My wife love's See's Chocolates. She usually picks up a half dozen pieces of her latest favorite for $19 a pound when she is in the Los Cerritos Mall. I like to get a pound or two for her on special occasions. Some of her favorites are the dark Bordeaux and dark Normandy. She also likes getting several slices of the Pecan Roll. Lately, she has been buying the milk chocolate butterscotch squares. Unfortunately, the entrance to the mall next to See's is shut down while they are doing some mall remodeling. Aside from the fact that they serve some of the most diverse chocolates ever created, this store in particular had extremely patient associates who were more then willing to give plenty of samples so that the customer could decide which delectable treat was worth paying for. I went with 3 other teenagers and we were quite a hyper bunch so I was even more impressed when they were able to tolerate and serve us with a smile. I now have 3 favorite chocolates that I hadn't even known existed until then and would go back several more times if the opportunity presented itself. read more
