The candy is what keeps you coming! If this place was based on their customer service, no one would ever come in. Within my last 3 visits to this location, I cannot think of one time where I was actually greeted when I walked in. There has always been one older Caucasian lady and one Hispanic lady working when I have gone in. Both of them have the personality of a wet rock. Neither of them are ever smiling and even when you are checking out, they just have the shittiest attitude. During Holiday season I came in twice and each time, when I asked for bows on the boxes, I practically got eye rolls. This past weekend, I waited at the register for what seemed like an eternity before either one of them came over to ring me up. I guess it is time to give this place a break! read more

I usually visit a See's Candies store once a year, whenever I receive a gift from someone. I went to pick-up my 1 pound box of chocolates gift today. Although there was only one person working, she was still very friendly and helpful. She gave me two chocolate samples, which is always nice. I just felt bad for her since she was busy and the people standing behind me were complaining about how they didn't receive their chocolate samples when they literally just got in line. Besides some of the snooty/disrespectful customers, I usually have a very pleasant experience here. The chocolates are always delicious and the customer service is usually on point. read more

Candy is very good. We went there yesterday 8/29 about 6:20 One lady was working. And there was one customer looking. We got in line behind her the employee was helping her, it was taking a long time for her to order, so I sat down at the tables right by the place. My kids stayed in line, really was taking a long time so they sat down too. About 10 minutes later others got tot he glass and wanted samples. I went to the counter waiting. She was about to ring up the lady. And she looks at me and tells me " the line is over here! Pointing to in front of her. I said yes I know I was in line. She said NO! He was next! Pointing to a guy who got there after us. I told her no, we were there, we were behind this lady! She argued and said no he was next! No I was behind this lady! She saw us! And then I sat down. She said she didn't see me. How can she not have seen us when she was looking right at us?? She was very rude. I walked away. She took so long doing the other ladies order. Seriously was about 15 minutes and we just waited and she did not care. No samples while waiting. read more

Delicious candies at affordable prices. The rating is more for the staff than the chocolates (which are 5 stars of course). I come in to this See's a few times each year. I'm typically here to get special candies to give my daughter for holidays like Easter or Christmas. Other times, I'll just pick up a bordeaux and a vanilla caramel on my way out the mall. I've rarely had to wait and have always gotten a sample right away at this location. On my last visit, I actually got 2 samples - score! This shop has been around for as long as I can remember. As a pre-teen my friends and I would go to the counter just to get samples and then run away. Clearly we thought they'd come tackling after us for taking our free samples. The candy back then still tastes the same as it does today. A great consistent product each time. That being said,the ladies behind the counter aren't always the most friendly. Don't get me wrong though, they aren't neccessarily mean - just...kinda there. For example there's one older woman that I've never seen smile once even after all the years she's been there. Really lady? You are selling CHOCOLATE CANDIES. Why do people who sell sweets always look so bummed? Poo. Gotta knock some stars off for it too because it's been like that for years now. I don't require the cheeriest person in the world to greet me with a shower of happiness, just a nice genuine smile would be cool. If you love delicious chocolates or just wanna run off with a free sample. Give See's a try! Prices are decent and the candies are amazing. It was ten minutes before closing and I was looking to get a last minute small box of chocolates for my 14yo son's current heart interest. Hallie was AMAZING! She didn't let the approaching closing time stop her for being extremely helpful and friendly. She went above and beyond even after I couldn't make up my mind. I wouldn't have been upset if she had said sorry I'm closing up because I literally walked in 10 mins to close. Instead Hallie was pleasant and took her time assisting me. To be honest, I would really prefer the old and long-gone See's shop in downtown Fairfield, but this is a very nice Mall shop. The clerks have consistently been nice and hospitable for almost 40 years now, and See's has probably the best chocolates around of all the chain stores. read more

I would give it is zero stars if I could the behavior of one lady that works there is disgusting I don't understand what her problem is I bought one box of a pound and that went OK then I asked her to pack me a half a pound and she proceeded in packing me a full pound and then I felt uncomfortable in speaking up so I just paid for it it moved on then I went back and wanted a 2 pound I called ahead and wanted to pre-packed she pre-packed 1 pound for me two days prior so I didn't think calling her and asking her to pack me a 2 pound box would be an issue but it was she had a really bad attitude towards me and she refused to do it so I figured I would forget it several days past and I decided I wanted it again I called over there a nice young man answered I asked him to pack me a 2 pound box and I would be down in an hour to pick it up he said he would do it and that would be fine I got down there no one gave us any samples so we asked for a couple samples and she walked over acted like a total bitch because we asked for a sample then I told her I was picking up a 2 pound box she said did you do it online I said no I called and she started yelling at me telling me I had to do it online I don't understand why I would need to do it online when she packed me a 1 pound box for days prior over the phone anyhow the nice young man who was supposed to pack the box quickly packed it in front of my face and that lady had a bad disgusting attitude towards me the whole time just makes me mad I just spent a total of $160 worth of their candy in four days and I'm being treated like a piece of shit The entire time??! The last time I've been to any See's Candies locations I've always gotten free samples of the candy ever since I was young. Now this time I walk in the store and I am not greeted at all. I see them restocking the shelves which is completely fine and I understand they were busy doing that. The only thing that gets me is the fact that they didn't give out any free samples to me what so ever after I spend $80 there, just on candy. It was kind of disappointing knowing that the lady could of gave me a free sample as she was running my credit card that took about 2 minutes of us just standing there waiting for the receipt to print out. I don't know if I like this shop anymore. It was nice and convenient and close to where I live, but I might just go somewhere else now. read more

I love this See's Candies at the mall. They have very delicious chocolates! They have these lollipops made from butterscotch... They are soooo goooood!!! They also have other flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, and café latte, but I think the butterscotch is the best lollipop they have. They sell milk and dark chocolates, as well as some truffles, nuts and chews, and candy bars. The whole chocolate sha-bang! But, most of all I really wanted to talk about my previous experience. My neighbor gave our family a See's gift card for one pound of chocolates for Christmas. She is super nice! Of course, there are some people in the family (ahem... my dad and I hehehe) that love chocolate so we definitely wanted to take advantage of a pound. A pound is really a lot of chocolate! We had so much to choose! When we arrived, we were instantly given a sample of one of their chocolates... I don't remember what it was, but I think it was a holiday type of chocolate. We chose our chocolates and went to the register to pay. The lady behind the counter said the prices for a pound of chocolate rose slightly so we might had to pay a tiny bit to get our chocolates. I also wanted the peppermint milk and dark chocolates (they must be put in a separate bag because those chocolates can make the other chocolates very flavored with peppermint). Once the chocolates hit a pound, the lady forgot to add the peppermint chocolates. It would have cost us about $3.50 more (I think that was what she said to get those chocolates) so I told her nicely that I didn't want them anymore. I didn't want to pay that much for four tiny little chocolate patties.... She gave them to me anyway.... for freeeeeeee. That was so nice of her! She rang us up for 60 cents and we said thank you and left. I was so happy when I got out of there. Even if I did have a bad experience, I could never hate chocolate from See's. They are just too delicious. :P I'll be back soon. Probably by next holiday season... I can't afford their tasty chocolates. But, I will sure come back for their butterscotch lollipops. NOT SANITARY OR PROFESSIONAL! Been to Sees at the Fairfield Mall Xmas 2013 and March 2014. Both times I was a bit disgusted with the lack of cleanliness. Xmas...the woman filling my custom box had a scabby scaly face which was unappetizing. I'm not intending to be mean, however, when you are in food service, your appearance needs to be clean and scale free. She ended up "rearranging" my candy with ungloved hands! She literally took her fingers and touched several of the pieces in order to arrange them. Yesterday, I went to purchase Sees for my husband. The woman behind the counter handed the gentlemen ahead of me a sample. This man grabbed the candy and mucked his hands on it...then handed it BACK to her and asked for a different kind. The sales lady then took the candy he'd handed back and placed it BACK in the candy bin! YUCK!!! Then she handed me and three other ladies in line pieces of sample candy. MINE was crushed...looked like the one the dirty guy had handed back to her. YUCK!!!! I'm done with this location!!! read more

I really like this See's Candies store (and the vacaville one too). I haven't really had a bad experience there but I usually go when its slow and the employees always seem friendly. One time I went with my daughter and they kept giving us free samples because the people in front were picking their candy a little on the slow side, but we didn't mind plus they kept giving us free chocolates. read more

I got to the counter, and there was one person ahead of me. There was one lady behind the counter. The customer ahead of me was ordering a custom box of candy. Within a couple of minutes, another customer arrived and stood at the opposite end of the counter from me. The See's worker did not acknolwledge either of us. After another minute or so, she called into the back room, and asked another employee to come out and help her......wrap candy boxes, not wait on the customers! So, this second employee came out, again, not acknowleding anyone at the counter, and proceeded in wrapping several small boxes of candy, while we all waited. During this time, a 3rd customer came into the store, picked up some pre-packaged boxes of candy, and stood by the register. The first employee continued to work with her customer, while the 2nd employee wrapped, and all other customers waited. Not once did either of them offer to help us, or let us know they would be with us shortly, or even give us a piece of candy. Finally, when the 2nd worker was done wrapping her boxes, she came to the counter, and instead of helping me, who was first in line, went to the folks that arrived after me. I let that one go, and figured I'd be next. However, once she finished with them, and rang them up, she proceeded to help the man at the register, who arrived both after me, and the customer after me! It was at this point, that I got angry, and frustrated, and left. I was intending on purchasing several boxes of chocolates for my office, but instead ending up going across the walkway to Mrs. Field's and getting Cookie Tins. I was very appauled and dismayed at the level of customer service in this store. Even if they were busy, they could have taken the time to acknowlege other customers (I know they saw us, as they both looked up at me at least once) and let us know they would be with us shortly. And then the fact that I was passed over twice, in favor of customers that had come up AFTER me, was the final straw. If this is how this See's Candies store is run, I do not see myself shopping there in the future. read more
