They are located in Irvine on Technology Drive -- uniquely located and quietly tucked away among non descriptive office suites. Currently, they don't have a lot of merchandise in house. However, they have a robust e-commerce business. You can check out my pictures to learn more. In November of 2023, they plan to stock up this location more so customers can come and shop in person. I haven't tasted their chocolates yet, but they look delish and high quality. I have a box of their sugar free pistachio nut dark chocolate. It sounds so yum! Can't wait to try later this week!

Mary Jo is the consummate professional. When I spoke to her on the phone about my order and expectations I immediately got why she receives rave, five-star reviews. She's passionate about being a true chocolatier. A dear friend who was the recipient of my gift sent me this picture below and you can't deny how gorgeous the presentation is -- and it's only showing half of the order. Review/Complaint - Luisa Chocolatiere, Laguna Hills…read more I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Luisa Chocolatiere in Laguna Hills. I placed an order for 30 white chocolate swans--a key part of the wedding favors--eight days prior to a wedding, with a confirmed pickup time of Thursday at 11:30 AM, the day before the event. When I arrived at the shop, the posted hours indicated it should have been open since 11 AM, but the store was closed and no one was there. I called multiple times and was given a series of excuses, including that her assistant had been hospitalized the week before. Eventually, Luisa arrived and continued to change her story, offering apology after apology and excuse after excuse. Only after I showed up in person did she actually begin to check whether the order could be completed. Several hours later, she claimed she could still fulfill the order and said the swans would be ready by 7 PM. Since we couldn't return that evening, we arranged to pick them up the next morning at 11:30 AM. Luisa said that would be no problem. However, the next morning, I began receiving texts saying the molds were damaged and she would not be able to complete the order. She offered only two swans--one for the bride and one for the groom. We ordered thirty. That was the entire point. This was a major letdown just before the wedding, and we were left scrambling. The owner demonstrated extremely poor communication, a complete lack of professionalism, and very questionable business practices. Once she accepted the order, she should have immediately confirmed that she had the capability and materials to fulfill it--not wait until the last minute. At no point was I told there might be a problem. This experience was an enormous disappointment during an important life event. I would never recommend Luisa Chocolatier to anyone. The owner is unreliable, disorganized, and lacks the accountability that any successful small business owner should have. I don't know how this shop is still in business.

They were handing out samples of their hazelnut chocolate bars, and after one bite, I knew I had to step inside to look around and try some more. Such luxuriously rich and smooth chocolate morsels that melt so exquisitely in your mouth (where you can taste and smell the layers of quality ingredients contained in each piece). Really took me back to my last trip to Switzerland when I overindulged in chocolates and fondue (and it was so very worth it). Pricing is by the pound if you get items a la carte. Truffles and pralines are $84 per lb (works out to be average of $3 per piece) and their chocolate bark bars (aka FrischSchoggi) are about $60 to $64 per lb. Otherwise there are prepackaged boxes at set prices ranging from about $20 to $150 and more. Today I sampled the hazelnut chocolate bar, pava praline square, a white chocolate espresso truffle, and a champagne truffle. I ultimately decided to purchase the pava praline set (comes with 8 pieces) and 5 pieces of the white chocolate expresso truffles. Total was just under $40. Truffles came in nicely designed, minimalistic boxes. They are located on the second floor of the Bloomingdale's wing of South Coast Plaza, above Sephora.
