Where's the See's? That's what I wanted to know, after wandering around the Glendale Galleria for a few minutes. TL;DR: it moved to the Americana. I love going into See's. So light and white and brighten it's a brand new hospital where, instead of medicine, there's candy. This See's is no exception. Guests are greeted as they arrive, and the famous See's "free sample" is offered right away. Yum. There are tons of other fancy candies out there, but I think See's is a favorite, especially as a gift, to please a host of any age. You can't show up empty-handed, after all. My go-to present is the "gold box" (not cheap at $50), but the two-pound selection inside is jaw-dropping (vanilla butter cream, anyone) and the box itself really does look like gold. For a smaller gift, there are a number of holiday-themed assortments under $10. Fun fact: See's will make up any box with any candy you want inside. A whole box of vanilla butter cream? Yes. Service was good and I got what I was looking for. However it was disappointing to be told that they don't validate parking. Also they didn't know what the parking fees were. So I ended up paying $5 for parking for more than 15 min. Next time I'm going somewhere else. read more

I absolutely love all the staff here. Everyone is so helpful and so sweet, like the products they sell. I was looking for a few gift ideas for my lil one's classroom and teachers. They were able to put a few things together for me, all within the budget that I'd set for this purchase. I know that a lot of people only walk into this store to get a free sample, or three, but I actually always enjoy my visits here. I've never been mislead or tricked into buying more than what I really came for. Because really though too, the products sell themselves. I love this! As a member of the community myself, it is so important to me to have these safe places and feel like an appreciated customer. Beware of using prepaid gift certificates to pay for hand-picked boxes of candy. Although they are supposed to hold their value, See's has found a way to extract more money from the customer who uses them. I used a couple of prepaid one-pound certificates for two boxes that together exceeded the weight by .01 lb. Instead of being charged just for the excess weight (which should have been 26 cents), the entire price was readjusted at the current price per pound, and I was charged an additional $4.26. This happened before at another location. It is apparently a new See's corporate policy to overcharge for barely overweight boxes of hand-picked candy. Shame on See's. read more

Excellent service! I was lucky enough to be able to attend the grand opening and grab a free tote. All the workers are very friendly and I enjoyed being in the shop. The two employees I saw this afternoon were so nice!! They said hello and one gave me a free sample! I love that! I went to the store to look for a specific chocolate that was inside one of their small silver box assortments I bought last week and just fell in love with. So I showed the lady a picture of my half eaten chocolate from a few days ago and showed her the box i got it from. She was so nice, she said i think its this one, and she said, just to make sure, here is a free sample. I tasted it and I was like, this is it!!! It was the one that tasted like burnt sugar. I've been craving it for days! She was so nice and such an expert at her job!!! I was very impress! And I got 2 samples this visit! Thank you!! Upon entrance to the location, Ammie greeted me with a warm welcome and helped me find everything I needed in a timely fashion. Through casual conversation, I mentioned that I did not like milk or dark chocolate and after a few questions, she pinpointed a white chocolate bear claw that consisted of nuts and caramel for me to sample. I am a huge See's Candies fan and used to shop at their location at the Glendale Galleria all the time. Now I have officially made it to their new location at the Americana and it is fantastic. The new location is a perfect fit for this old school chocolate shop. The store looked great and was greeted with a delicious sample (my favorite part of the visits.) I must say I always have good visits to See's but today it was extra pleasant. I went in to grab a treat for my sweet tooth and was greeted by a very friendly employee named Ammie. She was very sweet and helpful and made my candy buying experience wonderful. She answered all my silly questions and even let me try the newest limited time piece, raspberry chips! If you go to See's please try these raspberry chips! The staff here is always great but shout out to Ammie! She was super cool and made buying chocolates a fun and laugh filled experience. I'm usually very picky about sour candy because most of the time it's not even sour, however I recently tried some of See's sour candy and was surprised that it was actually pretty sour.
