Really wanted this place to be more than it is. Not sure if it was because we went at 6:30 on Sunday (Closes at 7). Service was just non existent and seemed ready to leave. In fact watched her walk to her car while we were for drinks. I keep saying if you don't want to offer good service all the way to close then just close early. So let's get to the food. I started with the chicken and sausage gumbo. It was not bad except there was not one piece of chicken. The Chicken and Tasso pasta was bland. No spicy from the Tasso and the chicken had no flavor. Sauce almost seemed like it was just warmed out of a bag. The Ultimate Burger was actually the best plate we had, which to be honest is not why we went there. We were staying at the campground and didnt want to drive into New Orleans so we ended up here. The service was friendly and fast. We started with the crab dip which was excellent! The entrees were very good we had fish platter and the mardi gras catfish. The bread pudding for dessert was so very good, dont miss dessert. Dont hesitate to come here ! read more

Six of us had lunch around 12:30. The restaurant is roomy and absolutely clean. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their choices. This was one of two restaurants where I took my boyfriend for his birthday. We didn't feel like fighting Friday traffic, so we chose to stop here for a quick meal. This place failed on virtually every level. We're a family of six, so it's not unusual for us to have to wait for a larger table, and ordinarily I wouldn't mind dining outdoors. But this time of year the heat and humidity is brutal, and we'd just spent an hour cruising the bayou looking at alligators, so I NEEDED some AC. The host led us through the dining room to a veranda, back out into the dense, musty air, to be serenaded by frogs, crickets, and another freaky insect I couldn't identify. While passing through the dining room, I noticed two vacant tables. How hard would it have been to move those two tables together? The food was OK, but only that. I ordered the Spicy Sausage Po'Boy. It was a Po'Boy, and it was a sausage, but it was anything but spicy. The bigger issue is the service, or lack of it. Once the food was brought out, our waitress went ninja: we didn't see her again. Notice to all waitresses: if you don't come out to ask "Is everything all right?" you aren't getting a tip. For all you know, I was choking on that not-so-spicy sausage. Refill my water glass while you're at it. We had all finished, and waited about twenty minutes, but she was still a no-show. My younger son went inside, paid for the meal (thanks, Paul!) and returned with food containers for out leftovers, so now he's doing their job. The clincher: as we made our way to our car, a member of the staff rushes out, seeking the credit card receipt. She couldn't find it, and must have thought we'd taken it. It was discovered on the floor, which is exactly where a restaurant should keep its receipts. Hey, Segnette Landing? Change your name to Sucknette Landing. I do not recommend this tourist trap to the tourist much less the locals. From the dirty tables to the uncooked chicken wings! "Smoked chicken wings"? Gross! Tasted like they were cooked in a house fire! And not long enough at that. The lettuce on the sandwich was dark and wilted, everything was utterly disappointing. To be clear, I have been living in New Orleans my entire life. I know good Cajun food when I taste it, smell it, see it...The "Chef" if that's what he calls himself? Fire him!!! Went for early dinner Saturday 7/16 was looking forward to ordering the advertised special. At 5:30 we were told the special was not ready yet. Then we were told it was after we told waitress that is what we came for. She returned and said we could order it. What a mistake, the eggplant was chewy, the shrimp was undercooked the sauce was bland 3 strikes. Way overpriced for the dish. Similar much better tasting dishes can b ordered many places for a much lower prices. Not a fan won't go back. read more

Though I have visited the Seafood Lot in Westwego a million times I paid no attention to this place that's located near. My neighbor/sister had lunch at Segnette Landing with friends and raved so much about the Crawfish Pie that left me wanting to try it for myself. Before my visit, I had to also check out what my Yelp family had to say about this place. Not to my surprise almost everyone is saying the same; How good the food is. The food and atmosphere are enough to keep me coming back. The experience starts at the front door with friendly greetings. This place has charm, nice scenery with seating inside and out. Table linens, the area is clean, the workers are super friendly and all seem to work as a family. The food is fresh and delicious. Today's visit the waitress Sarah offered great service making sure her tables were well taken care of. As I looked around, no worker was slacking. The manager (please forgive me I forgot her name) but she was everything you would want a manager of any establishment to be. She walked around greeting each table making sure everyone was ok and satisfied during the meal. All these attributes the staff showed I found outstanding towards customer service. Had wonderful lunch on the porch this past Saturday. Had three different sandwiches and all were well prepared. Chicken and avocado, hot sausage po-boy and burger. The burger was really well prepared and very juicy. The grilled onions were very sweet and really completed the sandwich. Service was very good. I've eaten here twice and both times I enjoyed my meal very much. The first time I had the crawfish pie. The filling was perfectly balanced; the crust was flaky and not at all greasy. The second time my meal was the fried shrimp, which I was reluctant to order because I've been so often disappointed with shrimp in restaurants lately. Either they are not deveined or even when they claim to be from Louisiana, they are tasteless blobs of protein--or both. Not so here. We consider this place our hidden treasure. We found it about a month ago and came back yesterday with our whole family. We have been coming to Westwego shrimp lot for years and never realized this restaurant sits right behind it . There is a harbor view in the restaurant's backyard with outdoor seating options of covered patio or picnic tables in the yard and plenty of space for kids to run while waiting on food. On our last visit we saw 3 gators swimming around . The staff makes you feel so welcome with a small hometown feel. Shout out to owner Amy and Waitress Bridgette. Thank you for making our granddaughters feel so special that they giggled all the way home. Your kindness will not be forgotten. The food was wonderful. We love the crab dip and crab cakes . Everything we have tried has been delicious- seafood platter, chicken wings, shrimp remoulade, aspargus, and mac and cheese. My son felt the crawfish etoufee, and the jambalaya was the best he's had. I forgot to mention that the adult strawberry basil lemonade is very good, too. There is also a small little gift shop with adorable items that make the trip unforgettable for the littles. I had a lovely dinner with my family tonight!!! The staff was quick and attentive, our waitress frequently checked to see if we needed refills on drinks, cocktails, wine or water. The food was delicious (crab dip appetizer and the pork chop were amazing- seasoned perfectly, the seafood platter and eggplant/shrimp pasta - delicious)!!! The surprise STAR of the night was the shrimp remoulade poboy... the bread was perfect, (fresh and crisp enough but not over done - I would come back just for the poboy)!!! I especially appreciated how clean and spacious the restaurant was. The staff were all wearing masks and following Covid-19 Guidelines. I will be back and promise to recommend. read more

Nice old house style building situated between several seafood markets and a marina, got to have good seafood. Wife had grilled shrimp, I had creole beans with sausage and shrimp, both dishes we very good, the shrimp were fantastic. Great fine, friendly atmosphere, service great, prices really reasonable. Noisy atmosphere and slowwwww service. I ordered the Creole White Beans & Shrimp and the others opted for seafood plates. Both the shrimp and fish plates were served hot and did not disappoint. Unfortunately, my entre was almost all rice (which was not fresh rice) and very little white beans and shrimp.
