Can I tell you this was a total surprise the place it's beautiful and clean. The service was excellent attentive but without being pushy. We were served a pita bread with a cheese and it was delicious. We ordered a meat gyro plate with bean salad and rice . The meat was tasty and well done salad was fresh and rice was cooked perfectly! Selda Mediterranean was a spot that came up while I was in town at a conference just down the street in a nearby hotel. I noticed, on their menu, they had a $19 offering that included appetizer, main, and a dessert for the price. My coworker and I decided to come in for the one hour lunch slot we had to make the most out of our time and get a good meal in our bellies. Walking in you could tell this spot would be a great date night spot but still versatile to host a family dinner. They have plenty of space to have large groups come in which is great. We sat at the bar top since we were on lunch and had limited time. Our service was top notch and we were always being topped off with our water and tea at half way of our glass. Before we even ordered a fresh large piece of naan was brought over to the table as well as some whipped feta. Lunch special is super diverse and offers everything from high protein to vegetarian options. Everything is freshly made and also notable made-to-order. Cucumbers, tomatoes, hummus, falafel, and my chicken kish was all perfect! It was a great balance meal to have for lunch at an affordable price. My boyfriend and I visited this location on a Monday afternoon around 2pm and were greeted immediately by the staff and led to comfortable seating by the window. There is plenty of available seating and parking. The menu is simple yet effective, covering everything you'd expect from a Mediterranean restaurant. I ordered the falafel plate ($20) and my boyfriend ordered the lamb shank plate. The meat was pleasantly 'fall off the bone' quality that could be eaten with a spoon. The plates came with an onion, parsley, cucumber, tomato and bean salad as well as rice and grilled tomato and jalapeno. The food was excellent as was the service. We were seated and placed our order, but after that our waiter basically disappeared. There was little to no communication or check-ins. Delicious fresh Mediterranean food! Ordered the salmon that came grilled with a tomato, chickpea and spinach sauce. Loved the crispy skin. The family also enjoyed the tomato, cucumber and onion salad, sprinkled purposely with bits of feta. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they sat us down promptly. Appetizers stuffed dates and eggplant salad were great. Warm flatbread with yoghurt dip was free. Tried the lagmucun which is a thin pizza with meat on top that was good. After going back to Selda again I was compelled to update my review to emphasize their amazing food and service. We went on a weekend where the inside dining had been reserved for a party. The servers immediately found a way to accommodate us outside with tables and chairs, and even though they were packed, it didn't influence the quality of their food or service. They were attentive and I love that they seem to welcoming to families, especially young children. They really make you feel like you are welcome. I never remember to take pictures of the food because well it's so good. The cheese pide is super delicious, like their version of cheese pizza, only better. The falafels are crispy yet moist on the inside. If Mediterranean food is what you crave, I highly recommend giving them a try! read more

We had a fabulous time at Selda over the summer for my birthday. We were back down in San Antonio for the holidays and decided to stop in again. Wow, the falafel was the best I've ever had and I have had some great ones made by Israeli friends. My wife, who doesn't like falafel, also thought it was great. I can only review my experience as there were ample Mediterranean patrons here. Upon entering staff and patrons looked at me like I was from another planet . I asked to be seated but on the patio whereas the windows at night become mirrored on the inside but you're fully visible to everyone outside. I wanted to keep an eye on my motorcycle so they sat me outside. I ordered a falafel to keep it easy. My food was brought out in a timely manner. My waiter walked away without asking if I needed anything else and that would be that last I saw of any employee. I've been fortunate to enjoy amazing Mediterranean food across the globe. This however was the most bland uninspired I've encountered . I wanted to ask for tahini or tzatziki sauce anything to bring life to this piece of meat. No one came and food gets cold quick. I ate half by then I was out water to wash anymore down. I could see my waiter inside by the kitchen chatting it was not that busy. Finally another waiter came out to take an order from another table. I motioned to him and explained to him they had forgotten about me. I asked for the check, with it was hastily brought a cup of tea that had been spilled in the saucer . $19 later my feeling is this place probably has good food but it seems more a destination for the local Mediterranean folks to eat and hookah. Highly recommend this place! Stayed at the hotel down the street and was recommended this restaurant as it's in walking distance and wow what a find! They serve complimentary pita bread that is so fresh and warm, I could fill my stomach on that alone. Food was so good I came back another time for more.
