This place is in the same location of el jefe, maybe same owner as well. When we got here we were planning to eat at el jefe but they gave us Senor sushi as well. I decided to ordered a plate of sushi to try it since it looks pretty good. Our server from el jefe also took our sushi order as well. I ordered the el salmon and it was really fresh and the rolls are big. It's not all you can eat only a la crate. They also have a fusion of ceviche and Mexican seafood as well. The el salmon was really tasty, great amount of sauce not too saucy. Overall sushi is not bad in a Mexican restaurant. The price is a bit high for a la carte but everything was great!

Beautiful location. And The El Jefe Roll was delicious. Wasn in the area and decided to stop in and had no idea we ended up here on the actual grand opening day. It ended at 6 and just our luck we arrived around 6:30. :( The miso soups came out in a timely manner along with our water. We could tell the wait staff was definitely still working out their "new" kinks. One staff member checked another by asking us if we had received our wasabi/ginger sides. In which replied NO... and a few minutes later here comes our sides. I ordered the El Jefe roll and he got the Salmon sashimi plate. The orders seemed to take a very long time to get from order to table, and pretty sure there was some sort of order issue between sushi chef and our waitress?!? His sashimi came out early and out of courtesy he waited for my roll to arrive before earing. 5 more minutes.... 10 more minutes.... and there wasn't really a whole lot of other diners amongst us. The roll finally arrives and the first bites were delicious, but sadly our rolls were falling apart with our chopsticks, clearly not rolled properly or tight enough. Rice to filling ratio was great. Will have to come back again after some time has passed since the opening day and try the mariscos. On a personal note, congratulations John P.

I got to-go on a Tuesday. They are friendly and fast. They greeted me at the door and when I left. I just wanted to "try" the place since it's so close to me and I love sushi! I got the miso soup (due to my mom's cold) and a California roll. I loved the California roll, and it was only $5 since it was during happy hour. I will definitely be back for a full dinner. Second time: food wasn't as fresh, small sushi pieces, and not as flavorful as other sushi in the area.

I had attempted to come here on several occasions, I finally made it here and needless to say I was disappointed, The tables were sticky, I sat by the window and it was so dirty , the booths are falling apart and there were little flies that totally grossed me out. Food was ok, the water melon margarita was fire tho !

Worst place ever! The manager Gilbert Tabares was so rude! They brought my friend the wrong roll, one that she was allergic to, and he made her pay for it because she started eating it. I have never had a manager argue with the customer telling them, "how are you going to eat here if you're allergic to shrimp". Seriously?!?! Maybe next time, when the order is messed up, you should apologize. Just saying... And in response to the owners comment below.... This is incorrect, the roll she ordered has imitation crab inside (Rawken) the roll that was brought to her had shrimp (katana). After the server realized her mistake she informed my friend, at that point I told her that she should not be charged, and let her know that she should be careful when serving people incorrect orders because she has a shrimp allergy (luckily she is not severally allergic). Say what you may, you are just condoning bad customer service with your false response. **FYI: I paid for my food and wasn't asking for a free handout. Since that is what you are clearly trying to insinuate here**

Sushi is usually pretty expensive, WELL NOT HERE! You can't really complain with you can get one of their signature sushi roll and a miso soup for $10. Please look at the images I attatched, they've got some awesome specials all week long for different hours of the day. Sure I'm not gonna say this place may have the best sushi out there, but you definitely get some bang for your buck. I'm new in town so I can't really compare it to other places just yet, but they didn't let me know. Audrey was our server and she was great. She made the recommendations that ended up saving us some money here and there. That's when you know you have a good server, when they help you spend LESS. I'm a student in the area so saving money is always a plus! I got Option #2 from the lunch specials, in which I picked the miso soup and Botana del Mar sushi roll. Just the roll is $14.49 but I got both of those items for $10.99. My plus one got Option #3, Lunch Poke Bowl with shrimp tempura. Everything we got was definitely filling and worth it. I'll definitely come by again.

Do not go into this place expecting it to be like Culichi Town. Going off of the name and the concept of sushi and Mariscos, I was expecting them to serve Sinaloa Style Sushi but they serve normal sushi. The main thing this restaurant lacks is variety. I think they need a wider selection of sushi and ceviche. I tried their Camango Botano. It's a shrimp ceviche with mango. I wasn't a fan at first, but after a few bites I found myself liking it some more. Initially I thought it tasted too much like chamoy, but after the spices kicked in it was a lot better. I wish it had more shrimp in it though. It was mostly mango. This dish only came with three tostadas and two saltines, but if you need more they offer to bring out chips. They share a parking lot with Starbucks, the bank, and Waba grill, but there's a decent amount of parking. The restaurant itself is very clean and modern. The best part of this place is the service. Joshua is an amazing server. He's very attentive, kind, and ready to answer any questions you may have. He made this such a smooth experience!

The air ventilation sucks. 3 days later and my jacket still smells like food. The service was worse!! My waiter didn't even know the menu. The sushi tasted dull and kind of old. The cucumber wasn't even crunchy, and the avocado was brown. They don't offer chopstick helper for kids or straws (ridiculous) read more

I ordered le salmon rolls and chief choice hand roll. 10small pice with $14 is a bit expensive. The flavor of the rolls are good, actually beyond my expectation. Small pice on top gives a sour flavor, the Jalapeno gives a spicy taste, and cilantro enhance the layers of flavor. However, the rice of the roll is way too sticky and this is the reason why I took two stars off. Cook sushi rice should be the basic technique for making sushi. And the hand roll was too flat and nothing special. read more

I came into Senor Sushi during lunch after a long day at school, so I was starving. The server Joshua warmly greeted me and quickly seated me. He told me about the lunch specials and the popular rolls. I got the lunch special a side salad, the jalapeño bombs and the specialty roll called Botanas Del Mar. The food was amazing and fresh! I was full after finishing my meal. The chefs were so nice and the server was perfecctttt! I recommend this place to anyone read more

I want to start off by saying that the food and atmosphere here is really good. Pre-Covid I had eaten inside the restaurant and had amazing customer services and delicious food. However I am not giving 5 stars due to the lack of service regarding phone orders. This weekend I attempted to order food to go on both Friday and Saturday. On Friday I was never able to get through and tonight (Saturday) did get through and was asked to be placed on hold which was fine. Instead of being placed on hold they hung up. When I attempted to call back there was no answer. Needless to say both nights I ended up ordering elsewhere since I was unable to reach anyone. I am hoping that this is something that can be improved upon so I can place future orders. read more

First time in Senor Sushi and in Pomona. Great food and great service, especially because we had Manny as our server! He greeted me and my boyfriend with a warm welcome and had great interpersonal skills and customer service. Never failed to check in on us and even struck up a conversation. Will come here again if I travel down from Sac :) read more

Wow. Avoid this place. Waited more than 45 minutes for a plate that never came out. Brought out one roll that my son had ordered. the place was empty so it was not busy at all. the waiter said their was a breakdown in the kitchen, something he could of told us. brought us a happy hour menu then says some of the stuff is not available. dont know how much these other ppl got paid to give great reviews but Avoid This Place. read more

I had this place for the first time after it was recommended. I brings me great sadness on my experience. To start off, I waited an hour for my order, even though I was the only person that ordered. The food quantity was very small for the price. Price is not worth the plate. They had a very very limited amount of rolls to order from. As for the flavor, they were okay tasting rolls. The "crunchy" rolls were soggy, and lacked flavor. I will not be returning, nor recommending this place. read more

Came across Señor Sushi via Yelp. Had to bring my parents, it DID NOT disappoint. We were greeted by Glen and another lady, sorry did not get her name. We arrived 15 minutes before happy hour ended so we quickly put some drink and appetizer orders in. Glen was so patient and social with us, love it! The food came out pretty quickly. We ordered the fish ceviche (delicious) campechanas, mango monkey, el salmon, amor amor, edamame (so good, never had it prepared this way before) and jalapeño poppers. The fish in the sushi was so fresh! Serving size was just right. But again, Glen.. you are awesome. You made this first time experience so good for my family and I. Won't be coming back just for the food because the service put the cherry on top. Thank you Señor Sushi & Glen! read more

I had such a great dining experience that I had to go back to El Jefe. Only this time the server, Manny, who made my last visit so memorable was working on the other side, Senior Sushi. We had to go to his area. Now, I'm not a sushi eater. Upon hearing this, Manny recommended botany Del Mar. It was delicious. Then he recommended a warm sake to compliment the meal. I usually drink whiskey, but he was right. It was a little more pricey, but I have to say; he was right. It complimented the meal so much better. After our meal, we were having such a great time that we weren't ready to leave. The sake made us a little more adventurous. We wanted to see what other alcoholics concoctions Manny could recommend. He didn't disappoint. The pineapple mezcal was great. We finished with shots of Don Julio. I've never had a smoother tequila. With his expertise, I felt like a professional food critic. Manny is a master of his craft & a straight up genius. My company has a Christmas gathering coming up soon. We're going to Senior Sushi, & I'm planning it around Manny's schedule. He's proven that my coworkers will have a great experience & make me look good. If you ever go to either of these fine establishments, ask for Manny. Trust me; he'll take care of you. We went here tonight to try this place out. The sushi was very fresh, and the rolls were delicious. We also liked the fact that they had a full bar, unlike most sushi restaurants, which only serve wine & beer. The staff was friendly, and the ambience was very nice. The prices were not bad either. I took a group of my students, who have special needs, here for lunch. Our waiter, Glen, was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was very good and the portions were ample. The restaurant was very clean & nicely decorated. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The restroom was extremely clean and in good repair. My only complaint is that they have a "no straw" policy and, some of the people in our group have disabilities which make it difficult to drink out of a regular glass. The food is moderately priced - about what I expected for sushi. They have a good lunch menu. I will definitely come back. read more

This place was absolutely delicious! All the workers acknowledge you when you walk through the doors. They have lots of variety of sushi in their menus, including Mexican food. There's lots of options to choose from including alcohol. The place is very well kept clean, and all the workers are super friendly. I definitely do recommend people to come, and try this place out. read more

But the thing that just keeps upsetting me the most is the false advertisement as though it seems ownership changed at least 5 months ago they have not updated the menu or information on here so when we sat down we were surprised to see that the Chinese Korean food we drove 20 minutes for was no where to be seen. Hope the owner will update the menu on here and not trick their customers.

It's a quaint little spot with a friendly and very attentive staff, food was made fresh, packaged neat as can be and was just flat out pleasant. As others have mentioned, quality is good, price is excellent and it's definitely a spot that you'll want to return to because the people there are serving their food with love. The service was okay--the servers weren't particularly warm or friendly, but they were attentive enough and came over whenever we needed something. Found a New Gem in Pomona, the Chefs & Servers are really nice, the location is excellent and very nice decor, now to the most important part. The Food is excellent very tasty, the rolls are all Specialty Japanese Rolls with a modern twist Oh they are delicious, We had the Empanadas & Tempura Shrimp to start , we had a Mango Monkey Roll & a Katana Roll very tasty oh and a Sapporo Beer can't go wrong with that.
