You can see out from there (it's on the second floor of the building) slightly towards the seas which is pretty, and also the embarcadero buildings to the other side. Ambiance is nice, they have heaters / flames to keep you warm. Re: food, the mint lemonade was yummy and very refreshing! However, it was a tad sweet, so keep that in mind if you like things to be less sweet. I got the chicken sandwich pita and cream of corn, which was the soup of the day. The pita was yummy and slightly crispy, and the chicken was well seasoned and flavorful. It came with a mild spicy sauce that was kind of creamy too. Only downside is the stuff would fall out of the pita sometimes, but that's expected with any sandwich. Nothing you can't pick up with a fork and it'd taste just as good :) Cream of corn was good, I'm a big fan of any soups. It was creamy, but didn't feel too overwhelmingly heavy (which happens a lot with creamy soups for me). Love the ambiance and love the view! I came with a group of my coworkers for happy hour with a reservation. We were guided to our seats and we were friendly greeted! Notable experiences of this restaurant: 1) Great service - I like how the staff in this restaurant were all friendly. Our server was attentive in checking in with our table for more beverage and filling up our waters. 2) Great ambiance - Though outside was a little chilly, I liked how they had a patio heater to keep us warm. I got the squid ink paella, which was so delicious and we also got the flight of dips with pita bread, and some rosé and Savignon Blanc. I always wish that they gave more pita with the dips, because the ratio is never enough, and this is not specific to this restaurant, it seems like it's everywhere! So we asked for more, and I'm not sure if they charged us for it as the bill was split, but I hope that they didn't because this should becomplementary in my opinion. I came here for a happy hour after work. The drinks were a little expensive for HH - $13 when the regular price is $15. They were also a lot stronger than I expected which depending on your preferences may be good or bad - but more alc i guess haha! We each ordered our own small plates. I got the crispy chicken wings for $14 which came with 5. They came out super warm and flavorful although they weren't as crispy as I was expecting. Came here for a family member's birthday snd had a great time! The views of the Golden Gate Bridge are incredible. I love the ambiance and how open the restaurant feels. Even though we dined indoor, we had a direct view to the outdoor space that was lit up with fire pits. The food was pretty good too! I enjoyed the flatbread and the paella had a nice crispy crust (socarrat). The French fries also hit the spot. I love that they are thinner cut. The curry ketchup and the aioli that it comes with were both perfect dipping sauces. We also had some kind of beet salad that was refreshingly yummy. The service was great, the ambiance is great, and the views are great. The food was just ok. The prices are a little much. But, with that said, 3 stars is not a bad review for me. It just means that there was nothing outstanding nor disappointing. It was just 'good enough'. I will say though that the service is what I remembered even though we were seated in a section which would later have a very loud whiskey tasting event (I think). It was literally just our table surrounded by a bunch of people standing up and talking loudly that our table couldn't even hear each other talk. Not sure how that all happened but it was kind of a bummer. We did, however, have the best views (from the inside) of the house and that we did appreciate. If there's anything you should get here is the R&R cocktail, the shrimp rolls, the cheesy flat bread (I forget the real name of it), and the ceviche. Just be prepared to pay a lot for relatively small portions. Anyway, I would still mildly recommend them and I'll probably return to see if things get better. read more

I came to Sens for a work event and have to say I walked away very impressed. The first thing that stands out is the ambiance of the restaurant. Sens has a gorgeous and chic interior with a patio that overlooks the bay, which makes for a great location to enjoy a high end meal. Though it was a bit cold outside, thanks to their high number of outdoor heaters I was very comfortable the whole time. The service was as expected for the price point of the meal, as the servers were not only polite but very prompt and quick. Finally, the food was delicious, as the duck was both crispy and juicy while the paella was phenomenal. The pomegranate iced tea isn't anything special, but it is aligned with my expectations for iced tea. One last note is that all the meals are pretty pricey, and so while this makes a great place for corporate events or a special occasion, I probably wouldn't come here regularly on regular week days. There is a rooftop patio outside which gives stunning views of the Embarcadero and Bay Bridge. The crowd is a good mix of young and old. There was an MBA networking event when we were there, so it was crowded. Inside there are TVs, you can sit at the bar and watch the game or go sit down for more intimate conversations. Location is prime, you can walk around after drinks. Since it is near the touristy places, I imagined the prices to be hiked up as well but it was the same as any other bar you find in the city. I've ordered the Roasted Brussel Sprouts ($10)- which I quite enjoyed, and interesting to add the apple butter. Mushroom Flatbread ($16)- This flatbread was also tasty, but the crust was a tad burnt. Cheese Plate ($16)- This was a nice selection, though the bread was a bit burnt and I wish the waitress told us what type of cheese we had gotten. Fries ($8)- These are pretty good, nothing out of the world, but hit the spot. Crispy Chicken Wings ($15)- These were also tasty, but again, nothing too out there. For drinks I LOVED the Cucumber Retox ($13 hh or $15 reg), it was super refreshing and dangerous... I could sip on it all day. I also had this coffee cocktail ($15) which was also good and strong, definitely more of a dessert drink. Overall, the view is great and the food/ drinks are also good. A good mixed fusion place- It seemed to be a mix of Mediterranean food, Spanish foods, and Italian food! - food recs - We got the Bacon & Fontina Flatbread ($20) and Shrimp Rolls ($15) here! The flatbread was a 3.5/5 for me. It tasted great, especially the crust because it was crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. However, it wasn't too uniquely spectacular. I also wish some vegetables were put into it because it tasted a bit too heavy and greasy. My friend really enjoyed the Shrimp Roll, but the only thing was that it was a really small portion. If you're pretty hungry, you would probably need to order some other foods along with the Shrimp Rolls themselves. I read online that some people really recommended some other type of flatbreads, but they changed the menu a couple of weeks ago. So, look at the picture of the new menu I put in this review! We've been coming here for years and we recommend it to clients all the time. I called for a reservation a week ago for an outdoor table. The gentleman I spoke to confirmed our reservation and he said we'd be able to have our happy hour outdoors. When I checked in they only had an indoor table for us and the hostess claimed that outdoors space is only taken as a request not a guarantee. I have never had this problem before and was just there for a $300 lunch on Tuesday. They said they could give us an outdoor table in about 30 mins and they'd text us when it's available. 2.5 hours later and still no text.
