It was time for another food adventure to escape the sameness of my own kitchen and ended up here! I know absolutely nothing about Korean dumplings so this was a true adventure. I got the Giant Dumpling Combo with Shrimp so I could see what all it was like. And it was successfully delightful! The food just looks cute but it is also full of great flavor. I really liked all of the dumplings in the combo - Kimchi, Galbi, & Meat - however the fried shrimp dumpling was a little too fried and a bit burnt, but the inside part had nice flavor. The dumplings were filled perfectly and it was a very filling meal. Ordering was easy, food was up fast, the store was sparkling clean with hand sanitizers out, and there are some benches out side to wait which is great b/c it is a tiny little spot. I got my food to-go and 20 mins later it was still perfectly hot and wonderful once I made it home with it. It's a great price for the meal to boot. The dumplings are pretty tasty especially fried kimchi and fried shrimp mandoos. The staffs are very kind, too. They are getting pretty expensive though. Compared to 1-2 years ago, price has continuously increased? The rice-cake is $8-$9 now from $5 which is too expensive for the quality and amount. You can buy it at less than half price at hmart. The service was excellent, and you can tell they take pride in their food. Orders were taken promptly and the food came out just as quickly, all of them steaming hot. Taking a bite into each soft, pillowy mandoo felt like a big hug. Each of the flavors in the combo meal we tried were well done. The flavors offered are creative, such as fried shrimp (the mandoo is encased around a whole shrimp with the tail on the outside for aesthetic) and galbi (super tender!). This is awful place I ever tried it. It was my first time here and I spend more than 75 dollars buying a lot and they just gave me 3 danmuji. Very small piece and they give for free in all Korean places. But they just gave me 3 small pieces and when I asked more, they charged me $1.00 for each small piece. I couldn't believed it!!!! The woman at the front is friendly and helpful, while the service was a little slow for to-go mandoo (granted they were super busy, so if you go at less peak times it's probably quicker). Their giant dumplings are aptly named, and a few can definitely make for a meal! The dumplings are soft and quite good, but I wound up wishing that the fillings for all were just a little more flavorful. The kimchi was probably the best one, but I wound up using a lot of sauce for each (the beef was probably the driest). I am a frequent traveler to Denver and have been going to Seoul Mandoo ever since it opened a few years back. The food was good before but I feel like it gets better and better each time I eat here. Truly authentic korean dumplings and they don't skimp out on the fillings. I've tried all of the steamed mandoos and giant mandoos and they are all great but my absolute favorites are steamed kimchi mandoo and giant shrimp mandoo. I always get my order to go and it's always packaged with care. This place is a true gem and I just need to figure out how to take the mandoos home back to Seattle!!! The service was really quick and I was able to head to my friend's house for us to eat. The size of each mandoo is GINORMOUS - I wasn't able to pick a favorite, but definitely enjoyed the shrimp and kimchi. I will be honest and report that I finished all 4 giant mandoos by myself because each flavor was so good. My friend really enjoyed the vegetarian mandoos and even asked me for the name again when I saw her at work a couple of weeks later! Dumpling madness!! These ginormous dumplings are without a doubt, the biggest I've encountered in my lifelong food journey. I ordered the Giant Dumpling Combo which consists of kimchi, galbi, meat, and shrimp dumplings and one order of the meat, kimchi fried dumplings. Normally when you order dumplings, there's very little filling in them, but not at this place, they are generously filled which is what makes them so amazing and some of the best I've ever had. The portion sizes are big so you can easily share the combo meal with another person. All the different fillings had incredible juicy flavors, high quality ingredients and very authentic.. My favorite was the shrimp, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. I love pickled veggies and it was a nice surprise to have a few pickled radish on the side. It's a small shop that specializes in doing one thing really well. We were warmly greeted and the food came out quick. YUM!! This place is a hidden gem(at least to me) and worth the visit to my old stomping ground. It's tucked in a strip mall off Illiff and Havana with a few other Asian restaurants. It's a small yet very quaint space and the hostess was a delight. She was so kind! I got the giant dumpling combo 4, which comes with 4 HUGE dumplings, kimchi, galbi(Korean bbq), meat, and shrimp. These guys are big. You could definitely share with someone or cut in half and more people could try. All of them had good flavor and the dumpling itself was perfect! My favorite hands down was the shrimp though, it was fantastic! A little different than the others bc it was fried to perfection vs steamed. After my move to Colorado, I was craving some comfort Korean food and honestly it wasn't looking too good! Once people found out where I was from, I would instantly hear "ooooohhh... well nothing will be as good as New York Korean food in Colorado." ... and then I tried Seoul Mandoo!! Instant flashback of going to this one particular mom and pop mandoo-jip on Northern Blvd - a real treat when I was a kid. I cannot recommend this spot enough! My boyfriend and I ended up trying the kimchi and meat mandoo - both excellent but my god... I crave the kimchi one literally every day.
