Having been to Sodam a billion times, we were excited to see a sister restaurant open up on Winton. The menu is small and features most of the staple Korean food options, including some that you can't get at Sodam. The restaurant itself is bright and clean with a decent number of tables. The banchan was solid but not spectacular, though we did appreciate that they offered to bring us more even after our meals had come out. We've gone twice so far, and tried a number of items. The gyeran-jjim (savory steamed egg dish in a clay bowl) was fluffy, balanced and overall an interesting dish. Since the eggs are priced at market price (no comment), it's a little on the pricy side for what you get. The ttukbaegi bulgogi (glass noodles with mushrooms, veggies and beef bulgogi) offered a good portion for the price. If you like japchae and bulgogi but want it in more of a stewed format, this is a great dish because it tastes exactly how you'd think it should. The jajangmyeon (noodles with pork and a black bean sauce) was just OK - the noodles had a good chew to them but the sauce was quite watery and almost felt inconsistent. Some bites would get some burnt tasting sauce while others barely tasted like anything - but there were also some very good bites where the sauce had come together nicely. The first trip was probably a three star meal overall, but it was promising enough to come back. The second time we went, we had the kimbob which was just as good as Sodam's, and a haemul jeon (seafood pancake) which had a good flavor but did come out a little less crispy that expected. The doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew with pork and veggies) was excellent - it had the perfect low heat spice level with a tremendous depth of funky flavor in the broth. Finally, they had jaeyook-bokum (spicy marinated pork with tofu) as a special, and that was also great - it's a favorite at Sodam and it's good here too. This meal was definitely a four star trip. Overall, we received excellent service both times, and most of the food we've tried so far has been a hit. Looking forward to going back again.

Excellent variety of soups with just enough depth to satisfy. Friendly Korean ladies serving , hard to believe they can manage the entire front of the house by themselves ... with authentic Korean hospitality ! There are grill tables but unsure whether they are in use given that ventilation maybe an issue (the reason for the 1 star deduction) Otherwise nice to have comfort food .... Kamsahamnida !

And Seoul House does fulfill on this. I only wish there was a little more beef on it. The Banchan assortment they provide is also very good. I love the Oi muchim cucumber - the flavor profile is much more enjoyable for me in comparison to a kimchi (Which is still great, don't get me wrong) and their kimchi jeon was pretty tasty too. I met a fellow yelper there recently for the first time sitting down in the restaurant. In the past I'd only ever ordered take out which was always good. Sitting down and eating was much better. For a weekend, they weren't too busy, which was a little discouraging, but I'll blame in on a rather cold and blustery weather we had. Seoul House is a must if you're in the mood for some really good dolsot bibimbap - and an assortment of other Korean specialties!

Even though the sauce had one flame for spicy, they really aren't too bad. I mentioned it was our first time there and they gave us a free side of pickled radish which we will definitely order the next time we go. I was worried about ordering takeout as I had a half an hour drive home, but they were still crispy and delicious by the time we ate them They seem to quite a takeout business. Nobody else was eating in, but lots of orders were going out the door. Will definitely go back and try some other flavors. Highly recommend.

Street parking only - don't park behind the building. No steps to get in but there are double doors that might be challenging for someone with mobility challenges. Signs on the door said no public restroom, so take care of business before you come here lol. Lots of K-pop to watch on the TVs. Check the website if this is your first time here. The website describes all of the sauces for the chicken and how spicy they are. I ordered the boneless Gangnam lunch special. It came with 5 pieces of boneless chicken breast, white rice and a beverage (I had a water). I also ordered a side of the pickled radish to try. It was 15 min for the food to come out, but it was hot and fresh! I had to let it cool down before I could take a real bite. It was excellent! And I loved the pickled radish too! Sadly no one else came in to eat while we were there. There were a couple people that came in for pick up orders. I hope people will support this business so it stays open. I would come back but would order ahead so I didn't have to wait for the food.

Service was kind, and the server had mentioned that her own mother was cooking in the back, which was a warm touch to mama's cooking Spicy Pork Bulgogi was tasty, and did have a little bit of a spicier punch to it. It complimented very well with the white rice, added with the Soondubu Jjigae. I wish the Dolsot Bibimbap had the crunch from the crispy rice on the bottom of the bowl, but unfortunately the bowl was probably not hot enough for the rice to crisp on the bottom. To order, you must order at the counter, bring your table number to your table, and then pay at the counter while bringing your table number after you are done eating. We had a great server who unfortunately I cannot remember their name to shout out, but we got some delicious cuts of meat, veggies, and bao buns. As well as a heaping portion of white rice. I saw many people having Boba with their meals, and I almost ordered some, but I just couldn't figure out how they were able to drink Boba on top of eating all they can eat Korean barbecue. The side dishes that came with the meal were also delicious and I love that they gave you a mochi ice cream at the end. Overall, this one's a wonderful all you can experience and I would definitely come back again in the future.

Only one kind of marinade available for these meats and it's way too sweet. Not good quality meat. Most of it sticks together and you cannot grill properly. The grill plate has parchment paper...there is a side with a more Japanese style grill but this one doesn't heat up enough. Sides are not good at all and rice was very dry. If you really really are craving kbbq and are stuck in Rochester, maybe go for a visit? Sadly you will be disappointed either way.
