I visited this store today and received a lot of helpful assistance from Dana. She mentioned that I might be asked to complete a survey, which I wasn't, so I just wanted to mention how well she treated me & helpful she was during my visit. I was a walk-in and looking for some advice on putting together some basics for doing my own makeup at a wedding, as a bridesmaid. I'm usually a drugstore cosmetics girl, so I tend to feel a little overwhelmed purchasing from Sephora. Dana gave me a full makeup consultation and great advice, without pushing any products on me. Went in for a makeover for a dinner party. Makeup artist was amazing, products were amazing, overall a very good experience. I'm used to going to the one in Glendale at the Americana and this was the first time in the one in Pasadena. Only thing I didn't like was that the one in Americana sort of has a walk way where you can clearly see what's where but this one sort of has a bad set up where the minute you walk in you see a cluster of makeup stands and I feel I would have a hard time finding anything around inside by myself. A bit of rearranging and restructuring may be helpful for the customers. read more

Very good attentive service. Lines are reasonable. Parking is good on green street, 90 min free parking building across Cheesecake Factory . No validation req. 90 min free. I prefer this over the Americana. Lisa helped me with a shade of Bobbi brown concealer that was perfect and a sephora eye brighter. Definitely recommed this location over the Americana. This was my first time going to this Sephora location. I was utterly disappointed. I felt like it was a waste of my time. Other locations that I have been to provided excellent customer service. The lady that was "helping me" did a crappy job on my makeup and she kept going to help other customers at the same time. Two sales clerk with one waiting for a customer who forgot something taking over 5 minutes and another taking her slow time ringing up a customer and chatting about the products. I absolutely love Sephora but this review is for the employees at this particular store. I went in today looking for Shiseido eye cream for my friend's birthday. The first employee i asked didn't even know where it was so I had to look myself. The eye cream section was tucked away in the corner of the store which was a weird design flaw of the store. I then proceeded to go pay for the cream. The cashier by the name of Julie did not even say a single word...such as a simple Hi or Hello. She just rung me up and when I asked for a gift receipt she gave me an evil glare and just nodded. Talk about a bad mood. If i didn't need this for my friend's birthday this weekend I would've just left due to her bad attitude alone. Now thinking back I've had several occurrences when I wanted to purchase something but they were always out of stock. Sigh.Too bad this is my go to store since it's the one nearest to my house but I'm moving soon so maybe I don't have to shop here again. read more

I went in hoping I'd be able to pay with my credit card. Since I've gone to many other Sephora's without my actual card because I haven't received it in the mail, they were able to look me up and check my ID for verification. Therefore, I thought I could do that here. I was about to pay and I explained to her about my situation and I handed her my ID. She then began to mock me, "you're gonna pay with this?" And gave me such a bad attitude. I'm really upset I didn't get her name but overall, most of the workers are very rude. She called someone for help and the lady and she was very rude as well. I was understanding on why they couldn't charge me but they could have handled it a better way and at least did their job and give good customer service rather than make me feel rushed to get out of the register. read more

Different location, same crappy service. When Sephora was at the Paseo they gave me shit for trying to do an exchange. It was the same brand and product just different color and I had a receipt. I went to the new one a few times and still the same shitty service. Given there are some associates that are very helpful but they are the rare gems. I asked for help to get a sample and the girl said sure give me a minute. She was busy running around getting samples for someone else. 5-10 minutes later I'm still waiting and I see others not helping anyone, just talking to each other. Got fed up and went to the register to return stuff instead of exchanging. Well the girl I asked for help was ringing too and apologized for no one helping me ( I know it wasn't her fault). WTF why is it that whenever I go to Sephora I see one or two that are running around to help customers but the other 5-6 are doing nothing but hanging around talking to each other. read more

I don't come here as often as I used to but I still consider myself a regular. Went in to browse and decided to get color matched again due to season change. Now to be clear, I only wanted the color IQ match done but ended up trying on a color. I was asked if I had on any foundation to which I responded only cheek highlight. "Really? Are you sure?" Umm, yes lady I have decent skin. She proceeded to wipe down my cheeks and forehead. After she wiped my forehead she goes,"oh see? Look, what's this?" I respond, "well you DID just wipe my cheeks THEN my forehead so I'm not surprised." Then she applied the foundation while speaking in a very condescending tone. Maybe she assumed I was a once a year shopper even though I mentioned I'd been matched before. She tells me that this is my color but I think it looks a tad light. She mentions the color and come to find out...she accidentally applied the wrong color match. WTH? She ended up giving me samples of both when I mentioned this. It was just a very weird experience. I'll do my browsing solo in the future. The help I got today was a turn off. 3 stars for a plethora of products available and the samples I got ...now I need to go wash my face. read more

One of my first visits this location was in July, when I was just browsing in the skin care area for some new items to try. I was absolutely blessed to meet Portia, who has been my skin's fairy godmother ever since! Each time I'm in the Pasadena location, she has new suggestions for me, gives me some samples to try, or gives me a mini-makeover to try some new skin care. Portia listened to my skin care concerns (my skin tends to be very oily, with a red undertone that I absolutely hate), and made some great recommendations back in July, and we've continued to tweak the regimen over the past 5 months to keep improving my skin. My skin has never looked so good, and I get tons of compliments on how great it looks. The best part? I feel comfortable enough to now go out without foundation on--even my visit tonight was just me running in wearing just powder--I would have never done that before meeting Portia! Today, we tried some new things, switched things up a little; she even keeps in mind ways that I can save a little money (I don't consider myself a VIB Rouge as much as a VIB ROGUE, as I can go a little ROGUE while shopping in Sephora). I absolutely adore Portia, and she's always making recommendations that are spot on for me! read more

So I was with my friends again in this Sephora. And of course since we're teenagers the workers have to follow us everywhere. They kept look looking at us and talking about us to each other. They gave us attitude each time we had a question about their products. I'm in Sephora right now and I'm being stared down by one of the workers.
