oh. em. gee. best pasta i've ever had in my life…read more i was looking online for an italian restaurant and this came up multiple times. first off, the interior is gorgeous, plush green seats and antique style. we ordered their special items of the night: lobster risotto and the vodka veal. genuinely the best risotto i've ever had. the people online were not lying when they said their vodka rigatoni was the best. it was indeed very very delicious. even though all of us were full from the pasta, we still had to get tiramisu. it was a perfect way to end the meal. our server was great and attentive, thank you for a wonderful meal.

If you're ever in the area, don't worry about the other Italian restaurants in the downtown, although I am sure that they are well and good, but Giacomo's is well worth your consideration. My only regret is that I only have one more night here to try another one of their delectable dishes.

I had a really nice experience at Serafina in the Seaport! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is a fun spot for dinner, especially if you're looking for somewhere that feels a little nicer but is still comfortable and relaxed. The location is also great, especially if you're already spending time around the Seaport. We tried a few different things, but the pizza was definitely my favorite. The mushroom pizza in particular was so good (we even got one to go)! The crust was crispy without being too hard, and the mushrooms added a lot of flavor without overpowering everything else. It was one of those pizzas where I kept going back for another slice even after I was full. Definitely something I would order again. The service was also really good. Great Italian food doesn't need a pile of creative additions on every dish. In Italy--and at many of the best Italian restaurants--the food is often simple, balanced and properly seasoned. Salt and pepper are okay! Let good ingredients taste like what they're supposed to taste like. And lastly, if someone is brand new, maybe don't throw them into a busy Saturday afternoon in Boston without enough support. It's not Kansas. For our meal we got the Cacio e Pepe. Which is fresh spaghetti made in a large Parmesan wheel and as they turn it around in the wheel in making a cheese creamy sauce. It's made tableside. Then they drizzle olive oil on top with more fresh Parmesan grated on top. Literally chefs kiss times a million! So fresh and delicious! We even went back to this restaurant two days later because it was so good and we wanted to try another entree. Which was the Rigatoni alla Vodka. Superb! The small restaurant is perfect and even though the tables are close together it gives off a quaint Italian family style vibe that you can't help but love.
