    Crème brûlée
    Angie S.

Came here last night. Sat at the bar to have a meal and watch the remaining part of Brazil vs Haiti game. Ordered: - Bruschetta: 3.5/5 (was a bit bland) - Carbonara: 4.5/5 - Side of spinach: never got it, had to remind the person (Walter) I placed my order with about this. By then I was already eating. When it arrived, no garlic or seasoning. Just steamed spinach. I brought it to his attention, and said by the time I get another spinach order done correctly this time, I'll be done eating. So I asked for the dessert menu. Ordered my dessert and then another order of spinach came (smelled as if it was cooked properly this time, but what was the point). Sent it back. - Crème Brûlée: 5/5 Service was average. Nothing exceptional. Attention to detail needs working.

4.5 stars from me!! We are outside which was lovely and peaceful; by contrast, even on a Wednesday night, the inside was really loud and crowded. I would love to come back and eat outside but I wouldn't come to eat inside, less I decide to welcome overstimulation. I got the penne alla vodka (substituted rigatoni, though, since it's the superior pasta shape) and it was quite delicious! Portion was about average-- filling, but not nearly enough to have leftovers (which I do love at a pasta place). It's a little pricy but worth it for the day we had and the train we needed to catch from South Station. Service was good; our waitress was really nice. I'll be back :))

Gigantic place with very friendly service. They had a great drink menu with creative and very different cocktails. Every guest enjoyed their drinks: kiss of Eden was our favorite, espresso martini is a little bitter. Food we ordered: -Calamari: 5/5, great squid to pepper ratio, sauce wasn't too spicy -Bruschetta: 5/5, honestly some of the best I've had- I loved the gigantic crispy bread boats -Truffle fries: 3/5, needed to be crispier and the aioli was okay -Lobster ravioli 3/5: I think it has a hint of pumpkin in it which was cool, but I've definitely had better at other restaurants -Margarita Pizza 3/5: Good size to split, wish it was a tad crispier -Di Cesare: 2.5/5, boring -Ragu: 5/5, ricotta was a great touch and it was a great portion -Lava cake: 3.8/5, whipped cream had no flavor but the cake and ice cream were delicious, wish the cake was bigger it was tiny. We would definitely come back here again!!

The appetizers here are good, I really liked the octopus and the fries smelled and tasted great and it was great portion size for a large group. I got the short rib pasta which tasted fine but not super stand outish. A friend ordered the branzino though which I would recommend. This was my first time but maybe family style would be best here? I would love to try a bit of each. Everything was appetizing and a great place for a team dinner. But not a place I would frequent

The food here was delicious! The bread that came to the table was moist and melted in my mouth. I came here with my husband and two other friends after seeing the Tall Ships in this area (until Wednesday) and we all had great food meals. We shared a brushetta and calamari that was sweet and cooked very well. We each enjoyed our entrees and took some home to enjoy later too. Our waiter was serving many tables around us but he made sure we had everything we needed from the drinks to helping with questions we had about the foods we wanted to order. He even made sure that our meals were to our liking as well after the meals arrived. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable and they made sure we did not have to wait long since our arrival time (which we were there a little early) for our reservation time was not yet ready. Was our first visit but if you come to sit to eat at the Seaport for a meal always have a reservation due to places fill up quickly and wait times to sit become very long.

Outrageously expensive for the quality of food and overall experience. It's such a shame because the restaurant itself is beautiful and has so much potential. I ordered the vodka pasta with grilled chicken, and there were barely two small pieces of chicken in the entire dish. The pasta was extremely dry, as if it had little to no sauce at all. Overall it was a very disappointing dining experience and I would not recommend it.

    Private dining area
    Shannon W.

Everything was fantastic. We had the private dining area for 18 people. The staff was very attentive and took our drink order straight away. Not long after they brought over all of our appetizers. The menu was quite extensive, lots of great options to choose from. The lobster ravioli was very good. You can also add extra lobster on top, which I did. Huge chunks of lobster. Very filling. We also enjoyed a round of after dinner drinks. Staff was extremely polite and attentive. I'll have to check out the Serafina closer to my house, because my experience here was 10/10! Loved the private dining room with videos of Italy on the screen in the backdrop too!

    Carbonara
    Heather D.

It's a beautiful atmosphere me and my friends sat at the bar, we got there before the rush, so it wasn't too busy, but it was also hard to get our orders going even for drinks. They're sparkling water is probably one of the best I've had and they're mimosas are to die for me and my friends split the carbonara which was really good. Unfortunately, we also split a ricotta pizza that was not cooked all the way through super doughy in the middle with crunchy edges in zero flavor. The weight staff was just okay nothing spectacular. It was a good restaurant to go on a whim, but I probably wouldn't go back.

    Dry Rigatoni Alla Bolognese
    Shaleah T.

I had dinner at Serafina Seaport with a party of 10, and the experience was a mix. The calamari and mussels were amazing, honestly the highlight of the night. My main dish, the bolognese, was decent but nothing to rave about. It definitely needed more sauce. For the price point, I expected better. I dine out often and spend well, so I noticed right away that even something as simple as the water felt overpriced, a small that I would usually pay the same for a large elsewhere. Service was decent, but I was a little annoyed that the server did not write down who ordered what. Instead, food came out with the staff announcing and guessing at the table. With a party of 10, that just feels sloppy. If I return, it will be solely for the mussels.

    Cioppino, Melanzane Parmigiana
    Eva A.

We ordered the Cioppino by the waiter's recommendation and the Melanzane parmigiana. The cioppino didn't have nearly as much seafood as we were hoping for, it was mostly the tomatoes and broth. The eggplant parm was tasty but heavy on the cheese. We had stopped by for a chat, less so for the food- but if I were to return I would try the pasta for sure. Service was attentive, we sat on the patio and didn't feel forgotten about :)

    The Evergreen Cocktail
    Kari Z.

Read a great seat on the street. The weather was beautiful. The server was fantastic. The drinks were phenomenal. I got the Paloma while my husband got the Evergreen. We were just stopping for a snack and a drink so we had the tuna tart. I kind of wish that they cut the tuna a little bit smaller and marinated it a little longer so it was a little more flavorful and easier to get a lot on a chip, but everything was tasty. We would go back for sure

This was the worst service I've received in Boston in my life! Catalina was our waitress. She was training. The restaurant was no where near busy. And yet we saw her all of 4 times. Waited 10min for her to even come over to us. She didn't offer to take order until after appetizer was completely eaten. She didn't come over again to offer drink refills. She didn't come over until 10min after meal was served, and finally offered a refill on my beer. The food was very good which is the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. We won't return to try again. If this is their trainer, I can't imagine the other staff is much better.

    Shakshuka, Truffle Benedict
    Salma S.

I enjoyed my brunch at Serafina! I have wanted to try this place for a while. I ordered the Shakshuka - it was very flavorful and well spiced, and it tasted fresh. I also liked the twist with the added olives. The ambience of this place is beautiful - the decor is pretty and the vibe feels very comforting and casual while also chic. The servers are very friendly too. Also, I had put in the reservation that it was my dad's birthday, and they got us a complimentary birthday dessert, which was a pleasant surprise. My dad said his dessert tasted great. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience!

The antipasto dish arrived very quickly and was a beautiful layout. Of course I desired to save some room for the entree but ended up eating about 3/4 of the appetiser before it arrived. The chicken marsala was absolutely perfect, still steaming on the plate as she placed it before me. I told myself I would only eat half the dish and take the rest back to my hotel for snacking later. However, my taste buds are not allow me to stop feasting on this Italian delicacy. The curated menu includes cicchetti, or individual bites, along with first courses, pasta, fish, and other proteins. It was heavier than expected, and the combination of flavors felt muddled rather than cohesive. For our main course, we both ordered the hake, served with fennel, onion, and pine nuts. As with the zucchini, the presentation felt somewhat awkward and unrefined, and the individual flavors did not come through as distinctly as we had hoped. While the kitchen delivered a solid meal, the service was so profoundly disappointing that it completely overshadowed the food. The culinary side of things easily earns a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. We ordered a wide variety of items to share, and the highlights included: * The Pizzas: Creative flavor combinations with fresh, high-quality toppings and fantastic crusts. * The Bucatini Pasta: Perfectly cooked and packed with rich flavor. * The Asparagus Appetizer & The Chicken Milanese: Both executed well, flavorful, and cooked to a high standard. Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience was uniformly horrible. For a large party, hospitality can make or break the night, and our server missed the mark at every single turn: * Argumentative & Dismissive: He actively argued with our host regarding an appetizer that had been ordered in advance. When asked about vegetarian substitutions for a sold-out pasta dish, he curtly replied, "Pasta with butter is all we can do"--despite the fact that we could clearly see a wide variety of fresh vegetables being used right on their pizzas. * Inattentive: Dirty dishes piled up on our table, and when we politely asked for them to be cleared, he claimed he needed to get help and walked away completely empty-handed. Our drink orders were rarely checked on or refilled. * Rude to Guests: He displayed visible attitude and put-off body language whenever anyone asked a simple question. This peaked when he was outright rude to one of the young women in our party who simply wanted to put her order in a bit early because she had to leave before the rest of the group. It is a real shame because the ingredients and the kitchen's output are genuinely good. However, between the hostile attitude and the lack of basic service standards, we unfortunately won't be rushing back.

The rest of the food was meh. -North Shore Fritto Misto: 4/5, average squid:pepper ratio, fried well so they were not too chewy, great sauce. -Foccacia: 3/5, fluffy and soft but pretty boring unless you dip it in your pasta sauce. -Lasagna: boyfriend 4/5, me 2.5/5. I thought it was really salty and all I could taste was rib, no other components. Important to note though this was not my entree and I only had a few bites. -Bolognese: 1/5, the pasta cooked so well gave this a point otherwise the sauce was super thin, there was like no meat, and all I could taste were scallions.
