Have been coming for two years and they still don't know my name or greet me personally. Yesterday, I was booted out of my seat by the owner for another customer (I was mostly done) and had to wait 10 min or so for someone just to finish me up...which required about a minute of time to put a clear coat on my nails and then let them dry. Plus, I got weird​ reactions and faces from a couple of the gals to my question of how much just ​clipping and file would cost, as opposed to a whole manicure/powder dip. They looked at me like I had three heads. I do give them credit for good pedicures and decent prices. So...not pleased. No matter how many times I try to like this place, I just don't. Of the numerous times I've come here (at LEAST 5), they've messed up my nails every time. The ladies are all sweet and the atmosphere is calming. But if I'm going to spend 75$ on a shellac mani and pedi, I expect it to be pretty dang good. The staff all seem under experienced. For example, the lady doing my nails used a course nail file to file my nails, totally fine right? Nope. Because she never went over it with a fine nail file, my nail tips are getting caught on every freaking fabric I touch. I have one nail that she didn't leave bubbles all over. My entire right hand has little black dots (????) of dust/debris sealed over the color, and under the top clear coat. Just beautiful. For the prices they charge, and the nail job you leave with, definitely NOT worth going to. Which I feel bad saying because of how nice everyone there is, but it's the truth and it's a waste of your money to stop here. 2 stars for kindness 0 for job done read more

I had a great experience here. I got a pedicure and the first thing I noticed is that they put disposable plastic barriers in the foot soak for every person! This is something I have never seen done in a nail salon and I loved it! There was something about that little extra that put me fully at ease. As I was sitting there enjoying a back massage, I looked around and noticed how beautifully they have decorated it. There was a very nice crystal-looking chandoleer and a trickling water fountain. It just has a nice, classy, relaxing feel to it. The gal who did my pedicure took her time and did a very nice job. The massage chairs are brand new and really work well. I have to agree that their polish selection is great as well. Everything about this place is fabulous! And to top it off, they have wine there that you can purchase by the glass to sip on while getting your nails done, if you so desire. Seriously?! Nice place... Got us in for two pedis and a mani on a Saturday afternoon with no problems. The salon is clean and well maintained and there are plenty of stations for both pedis and manis. My wife's technician was friendly and seemed to work even harder when my wife ooh'd and ah'd over the pampering. On the other hand my technician had the personality of a dead fish. However, I was satisfied with her work and I guess that's what matters. My biggest complaint is the lack of English skills... No one seemed to understand what we wanted and things got translated a few times before filtering down to our technicians. I wasn't sure if I was going to get a pedi or a shave and shampoo! My manicure lasted quite a while- something I have had problems with from other spas. A friends french manicure wasn't that great (real thin lines), but my solid color was perfect- and they have many colors to chose from. This place is pretty great, love getting a pedicure here. As others have mentioned, I do enjoy the disposable plastic barriers in the spa, but what I really love is the inclusion of the hot stones into the massage. I've never had this down elsewhere and it really does feel great. The chairs seem a step above some others as well. with lots of buttons to keep me entertained, although I never can quite figure out how to get the bottom of my back exactly right. It really has more of a spa feel to it and doesn't smell overly of nail product like many others do. Everyone is nice and friendly. It makes an excellent way to spend an afternoon with a friend. There's lots of technicians so I didn't feel overly rushed like I do at some places even on a busy Saturday afternoon. I think next time I'll try the gel manicure. read more

I received a foot and leg massage with my pedicure - the whole thing took quite awhile and it cost $23? Hello! A no-brainer. I went in during my lunch break and ate my sand which (yeah, sorry, but I'm a quiet eater, I promise). What does $23 get you these days? Not much. I found out today that she is leaving in two weeks and I am pretty sure she is moving far away :/. The owner is super rude and does not treat these women well that work here. Tells them to hurry. I have been going to this salon for my pedicures for years and have even brought friends with me. But I have noticed a pattern in the last few years. All the good pedicurists leave. Sometimes I have been content with the new girl but after a few months she is also gone. The last 4 pedicures I have done here have been very disappointing. The massage is really my favorite and they have been pretty worthless. I'm sad because this place is convenient and they have a reward program. I normally go here just for eyebrow/lip waxes but finally decided to get a pedicure also. Every time I go in, I am seated almost immediately. The eyebrow waxes are pretty standard. Nothing special but they do in a pinch! I got the Spa Pedicure and it was awesome for the $23 price tag! I had my nails clipped, my toenails meticulously shaped, buffed, and oiled. Then I got a foot massage, leg massage with lotion, sugar scrub, hot towels, and hot stone massage. She was very careful applying my polish and I didn't feel rushed at all. I docked one star only because upon inspecting my polish at home I realized it wasn't as painted smoothly as my regular salon does it and on some nails you could see a distinct line down the middle where she was applying the second coat. I'll probably still go get my pedicures at my old place but I'll keep coming here for waxing. read more

Ouch!!!I won't be going back. The girls are very sweet here, BUT this place is so crowded and the cranky owner changes staff so often, which I find suspicious. I've had a few manis/pedis done here, all of which were very hurried. The last straw was a having a chunk of skin cut from my cuticle/finger during a manicure. It was nauseatingly painful, not to mention unsightly. I tried to muscle through it and not complain, but the bleeding wouldn't stop and my finger started throbbing. They tried to put a solution on it without asking me or telling me what the solution was. I was so unsettled that I left on the spot without paying. I tried to give Serenity the benefit of the doubt with no success. I've found a different place down the street that is more meticulous and consistent. read more

Such a shame. I've been going to this place for 4+ years but will never return to continue putting money in the owners pocket. Called to make an appointment at 1pm on a Saturday for 330. The owner asked to come at 4 for the lady I asked for. Showed up for the appointment and the place was packed. For some reason the owner pulls the I don't see you on the book BS and then have me wait for 10 mins only to come back and say the lady I had asked for all of a sudden need to leave and can't service me. He didn't even offer someone else to do my nails. Basically just wanting me to leave as he'd rather service the other walk-ins who came shortly after I did asking for a more costly service. The owner probably thought he could dispense a 4+ years shellac mani customer over a walk in full set customer. I've seen logs more courteous than this man! read more

My friend and I walked-in to Serenity on a Thursday at 11am. I had Tina as my Pedicurist and she did an amazing job. Her work was top notch and I will go so far as to say it's one of the best pedicures I have had to date. Inside was quiet with calming music in the background; which could be due to the time of day we went. ( I have not been here later on in the day.) There is one TV on the wall that I could see. Personally, I do not like to have televisions all around a nail salon-it takes away from the calming atmosphere. The staff is very kind and attentive. For $23 I received a pain-free pedicure including a lengthy foot massage, warm towel as well as a hot stone application to my feet and legs. It was excellent value for the money paid. This was my first and last time going to this nail salon. I went in for a mani and pedi and the service was okay, the massage was weak and the technicians weren't very friendly. The same night as my pedi I had to clip dead skin from around my toes. The polish on my fingers started chipping within a day and my cuticels started to get really dry and rough. By day 3 all my cuticlels were rough, split and on one finger so bad it ripped the skin on my finger. I went back to the salon as soon as I had time to ask for a refund and was given attitude by the technicians and told to come back and talk to the owner Tom. I went back later that same day and asked to talk to Tom,he is the rudest person. He told me I picked my own cuticlels just to scam him and had I came back the same day he would have given me a refund. Who would pick their own cuticels on every finger? I told him this is bad customer service and he got very loud and said "i don't want to talk to you " and walked off. I'm shocked that somewhere that did such a poor job didn't want to make it better.. stay away from this unfriendly salon!! read more

Clean and quick, but they do not remove callouses or corns except with a rough sponge which does nothing except hurt the rest of my foot. The massage was weak as well as the hot rocks but the polish was correctly applied. No upgrades were suggested. Not too sure if I'd go again. read more

Worst nails service I have ever had in all of my 15+ years experience getting nails done professionally.i originally wanted a fill but ended up needing a fullset since some Where coming up and The man who did my nails was so rude and made my nails way shorter than i asked and especially compared to how they were when I originally came in. He ripped of my previous nails with clippers and not even the proper way of removing them with acetone. He broke them off painfully one by one. And when he was done and he filed them crooked and the paint was uneven and messy all over my fingers and didn't even come to the edge of my nails. It looked so unprofessional that I called and complained the next day to have them redone and they said i could come back to have redone. When I came back the guy was so rude and arging about price and trying to get me to pay a made up amount of extra $10 for having pointey filed long nails to get more money out of me when I paid $70 for a pedicure and full set the day before. He didn't apologize or even listen to me and what he did wrong on my nails and they were so rude and didn't talk to me entire time. I will never recommend going there. read more

Let me start by saying that I almost never get my nails done. Today was the first time in five years that I got them done, and I only decided to because I was having a terrible day and decided to treat myself. At first they were nice to me. Then I sat down at a station to get my nails done, and the lady doing my nails would not talk to me at all, even though I was trying to talk. I understand if she is tired and doesn't feel like talking, but I felt like she was straight up ignoring me. She was also kind of rough with my nails. Another lady painted a chevron pattern on two of my nails, and applied a top coat on one nail when it was still wet; this made the paint run; she got mad at me when I asked her to redo that nail since it looked terrible -- she made me feel really bad about it, even though it was her fault. After that, I could just tell she wanted me to leave and did a fast job. When I got home, I realized a couple of my nails were not smooth -- as if they did not get a top coat (even though I saw them put a top coat on them??) I also felt as though the staff was complaining about me in another language. If I wanted to feel like sh!t, I could do that for free elsewhere. Tl;dr I came in to get pampered after a bad day, and I left feeling worse than when I came in. My nails are cute, but they could be much better. I would not come here again, and I recommend that you get your nails done elsewhere. What a waste of time and money. DO NOT COME HERE. read more

After years of searching for a new nail salon, I decided that I had found my go to nail shop... I was pleased with the way they did my nails and how sweet the girls were... Well that wasn't the case till about several months ago... The owner Tom has been in a very grouchy mood for the last half of year. Anytime I come in he never greets me with a smile nor does he kindly say thank you after you pay. And don't get me started if you ask him to punch a hole in your card for the service received. That really puts him over the edge. I have been avoiding him lately just because of his poor attitude. He's constantly walking around speaking his foreign language and it just makes you feel extremely uncomfortable. I was told by one of my clients (who also used to go to this nail salon) that Tom likes to fire the girls out of the blue and brings on new ones every so often to keep payroll down. Sure enough that seems to be the case. You can never catch the same girl. The employee turn over is unbelievable. Even the goods ones get let go!! At times you will catch the same girl using the same pair gloves on 3 or so people!! They need to pay more attention on sanitation before people start getting fungus out of their salon. On the plus side there salon is always clean and most of the girls there are pretty sweet. I LOVE how they put disposable covers in the pedicure tubs! That's a winner for me!
