    Chorizo taco

Discovered another taco spot in LA. One of the best I ever tasted. I order asada, pastor and chorizo. Very fresh and moist. I highly recommend this hidden place. Came back again and tried the taquitos and they were very good. A must try. (7/31/25)

My favorite little no fuss spot for tacos when I'm in the area. They most definitely blow Tacos Gavilan and Tacos Mexico outta the water . Their Asada is way better quality than king taco, and doesn't come out of a bag and then thrown onto the grill for reheating. The staff is friendly and they aren't stingy with their lemons/onion/cilantro and salsa. Absolutely delicious, and worth a try if you're in the area.

Awful, the food was cold. This is not just a matter of unpleasantness, but more of a matter of food safety. I ordered two today's and a bean and cheese burrito. Both tortas were cold with unmelted cheese, but he bread on both sandwiches tasted old and slightly stale. The bean and cheese burrito had a 1 inch layer of cheese that was also unmelted. This food is so horrible, literally the worse food I've had in the last 5 years. It was so bad that when I got home, I threw it away and cooked some top ramen instead. Stay away from this place - it could make you sick.

    Updated menus. Getting pricy

The food is good when it's made the way I want it. Just ordering and it's good. But when you want something specific , you better know Spanish. They can't understand my American for nothing

Menudo daily and with hominy and open early in the morning. Only thing is that they don't take orders over the phone for pick up!

The place is dirty. The cook was wiping his sweat from his forehead then touching the food. Very dirty place i wouldn't go back.

This was my first time actually trying mole out and it was extremely delicious! The complimentary…read morechips in mole sauce was a fun twist on chips and salsa. My dad ordered the Ceviche Nayarit, I ordered the Enchiladas La Casita Mexicana and my wife ordered the Enchiladas Tres Moles. The ceviche tasted fresh, but not really my favorite dish were had. I would say the Enchiladas Tres Moles was my favorite dish we picked. My only problem with that dish was that I wanted more. The plate they served it on made the 3 Enchiladas look small. Customer service was great. Food was great. The interior/exterior was really nice. If you have dogs the patio section in the back is where you'll want to eat from. Great experience. I'd come here again.

This place is not bad, but I went in expecting more. I heard about the owners, former chefs or…read moresomething, not 100% sure BUT something along those lines, they were making OG mole so I had been wanting to go there. I forgot exactly what I had, I want to say it was bistec ranchero or something like that. it was good, nothing bad, but also felt average. They served us chips with mole on top and I was like, why did they pour mole all over, bring a little bucket of mole and let me dip it on the side. That's what a good Christian would do, but no, they went with an anti-Christian practice here, communist almost. don't assume I want everything with mole. I would have been ok with it if the mole had been bomb ass good, but it was ok. I had heard this place used original Oaxacan mole or something so I was hyped. My wife had some eggs with whatever the heck a Filipino woman orders at a Mexican place and she's was fine. I feel bad about this review, maybe this place is a victim of its former reputation, and I was expecting very good Mexican food and all I got was OK Mexican food. Also, for a true Mexican spot, you need to have café Mexicano, with canelita and the waiter told me they didn't have any. How can this be? I do not approve. Maybe if you are white or non-Mexican or a fake Mexican, I think you would have a different opinion of this place, you might think is great, just like El Torito is. Am I confusing this place with some other restaurant because the place I heard of was in Bell and the cooks/chefs were this renowned chefs and I don't think that's the case here or now. For sure, this place is not bad and I don't think you will get bad food, it was just underwhelming.

Day one- i had Filete à la Veracruzana, comes with rice beans and salad and some delicious homemade tortillas that are so soft. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious it had plenty of the sautéd veggies and green olives, they do have pits so beware , the refried beans are smooth and have a lot of flavor, the rice was also very good! Hubby got their trio combo which has chile relleno, enchilada and carne asada and of course this yummy rice n beans. Each item also had lots of flavor. The salad although simple had nice avocado chunks and pickled red onions which i love! We each literally cleaned our whole plate! So next day when I asked "what should we have for dinner?" We both said we were craving it again. So this time I had the filete al mojo de ajo with shrimp on top. And hubby got a plate of red enchiladas with chicken. Again the food was delicious and we practically licked our plates clean. The place is not too busy so I hope more people will go and keep them in business. We will definitely become regulars there. They have a huge variety of seafood so I will be trying some ceviche next time. Also plenty of comfortable seating. And our waitress was very nice.
