My family and I sat down to eat here. The place was clean and nice, and at first everything seemed fine. Our server brought us chips and salsa, but when we looked closely, we noticed that the chips appeared to be leftover from previous customers. After seeing that, we immediately got up and left. If the salsa was also being served to customers after someone else had already eaten from it, that is completely unacceptable. This was a major red flag for me. The food was really good she knows the chef and owner of the restaurant he's really nice and excellent chef for he's cooking skills. A part of me is reluctant to write a review because id hate to share this little hidden gem. I absolutely love this place, ive gone 3 times and each time ive gone, its only gotten better! its a total dive place; Informal, relaxed, "neighborhood" restaurant. My Dad recommended I eat here and I will say it is a gem. First dish I ordered was a Super Burrito (beef). The meat was tender and moist, the fillings of beans rice, lettuce and the wet sauce weren't overpowering and I can taste each ingredient. No flavor compensation to hide any shortcomings. This place is new to me and so far I've had the breakfast burritos which are good. My co-workers enjoyed them too. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is that there is no spice warning. The other night I ordered (to go) Caldo de Albóndigas for me and my family. It was way too spicy (think they straight poured salsa in it). I think the albóndigas had chile in them too. My kids had to eat cereal that night. Aside from that the flavor was yummy. I'm only giving 3 stars because my kids couldn't eat. Can't wait to try other food. Hearty portions of yummy food at great prices! The plates were three times the size of my face, and I left feeling super satisfied. I got a carnitas burrito and it was amazing! The meat was tender with those perfect charred crispy edges we all want in carnitas. They stuff the burritos only with meat and put the rice and beans on the side, so you know they ain't about skimping on meat with fillers. They also melt cheese on the top of their burritos, which is a nice touch but not my thing. I requested a side of bell peppers and was so happy (and surprised) to see that I wasn't charged extra for it! One drawback is that they don't have al pastor (my favorite) on their menu-- but other than that they have the whole enchilada (ha ha) of Mexican food, from soups to tortas and tostadas. My boyfriend got a beef tostada and an enchilada and they were both massive. He loved his food too! Also: they aren't kidding when they say this is a karaoke place. They do karaoke every night and it was on full blast when we got there around 9pm. It's not at all like the Asian karaoke booths you pay for though-- more like you're handed a mic and you stand up and sing in the middle of the restaurant. Although the music make it hard to hold a conversation, the atmosphere was very cheery and the waitresses kept dishing out fresh bread and coffee to the group.
