As I read these high rated reviews, I can't help but wonder if we have used the same shop. I made the mistake of trusting in Serious HP as a reliable shop to have a supercharger installed onto my car. The work was subpar, professionalism was nonexistent and my satisfaction has yet to come to fruition. Here's my experience. I met the owner, Michael (Mike), who was mildly charming in person and he had given a tour of his facility. During this time, he showed me where the car would be serviced, how the process goes, other vehicles they were currently working on, the dyno bay and so on. At this point I had already paid 9k for the parts, leaving a balance of a little over 4k due at the time of pickup. I was told by Mike that I should be getting the pre-installed dyno results sent to me by the next day at the latest (there was a car on the dyno at the time), showing what the car was producing under its factory configuration (pre-supercharger). I was also told that I would have all of my removed parts placed into the trunk of my vehicle to take back with me as they did not need them. The whole installation, dyno and tuning process was said to only take 7-10 business days. Day 3, I still had no dyno results so I called to get a hold of Mike, who would not take my call or respond to my message. I subsequently attempted to follow up with him almost daily via email or phone call to see if I could get a hold of him. I was given expectations set by Mike, who then failed to deliver on his word. Not once was I trying to rush the project. I was simply interested in seeing the results of the dyno test that I was told would be ready to publish for me the next day. I finally got the results of the dyno, both pre and post installation, on the 12th day, the morning I was emailed that the vehicle was ready to be picked up. I was told that the reason it took so long to get me the results was because they were having problems with the computer. Ironic that everything seemed to be working the morning that I was notified the car was ready to be picked up. I arrived at the shop and paid my balance, asked about how to care for the newly installed supercharger and was given a small box with oil and only one of the parts that were originally on the car. Thinking that the rest were in the trunk, I arose no questions. I used the remote start feature for the car like I always have and was anticipating the thunderous roar at startup that was synonymous with my vehicle and it was no longer there. I thought oh well, maybe that's natural with the new part. The vehicle ran for about 1.5 minutes before throwing an engine code and shutting off. I went to investigate why because I was still standing inside the building speaking with Mike at the time. Opening the car door, I find the service cover for the shifter's manual override on the floor, leaving it still exposed. This prompted me to inspect the rest of the reassembly work that had been done. Doing a walk around on the vehicle, I noticed that the front bumper had not been correctly reattached and that one of the push pins was missing. I then opened the trunk only to find it empty, not filled with the parts that were removed for the installation as I had been told...another lie. This is when I walked back into the facility and asked that Mike join me outside to look over the vehicle and more specifically, the work that they had just done because it didn't seem like the vehicle was inspected prior to telling me it was ready to go. I showed him the cover that had just been left on the floor, the bumper being incorrectly reattached, and the engine code on the dash panel, but I did not mention the parts not being in the trunk because by this point, I just wanted out of that placed and didn't want to hear anymore of the empty words being uttered. He pretended to be upset with his techs for taking the cover off and leaving it on the floor to move the vehicle instead of simply retrieving the key. Tried several different handheld tuners to clear the code (which doesn't fix the issue at all) and ultimately brought the car back around to one of the shop bays to have the code cleared and the bumper correctly reattached. By this time, I'm past the point of wanting to continue any further conversations, so I just remain silent. The car is pulled back around, I shake his hand again and leave. The car was and still is VERY hesitant to start from when I picked it up. The remote start feature is no longer an option for me (huge inconvenience). The car runs hot, check engine light still flashes at me now and seems incapable of exceeded higher speeds without shaking a scary amount as though the engine is not running right. I have subsequently had to bring the car back to the shop weekly as a result of the lack of quality work being performed and I could go into further detail to better elaborate on this but I have a character limit that I need to stay within. 0 stars are too many for this place. read more

Michael is a scam artist and does not fix vehicles as promised at all and acts like a 5th grader mentally. He has kept our truck over a year (the 2nd time after it was not fixed properly). Lost a new missing crank shaft that we paid for worth $600-700, lost a fender flair claiming it just flew off while he was test driving it. He claimed he would help with the new tune and put the truck back on the Dyno which he tried to charge for in a final bill and it was never done. Finally we decided he had ample time to help and fix everything and over $13000 was paid to him. He then tried to over charge and scam us again with another $2700 bill instead of what was agreed upon and he was paid the $500 (which technically the work was covered under his warranty work guarantee. We got the truck back here and he called impersonating a police officer and filed fake charges against my fiancé. Please look at review's everywhere. This man has been scamming a lot of people and charging them even up to 35,000 with nothing done correct and kept their vehicles over 2 years. read more

This shop is amazing. My 2016 Hellcat is making tons more power while still maintaining the reliability and drivability that it had before. I had them do their 900HP and Cam package a year ago and recently had my supercharger upgraded. Mike and Mack are awesome to deal with. I took my G8 GT there, wanting exhaust work - Kooks headers and hi flow cats, X pipe, electric cutouts, and dyno tuning. After a short time for all the parts to arrive, it was there only two and a half business days when I picked it up. Their install was excellent, especially when dealing with an unusual car. But the dyno tune was amazing! I used to have to work the mid range of the power band and not hold revs. Now I walk through the mid range and the top end hits HARD! This is the car I wanted, and the tune was a huge part of the deal for me. They delivered! Also, they are very nice folks, from management to janitor! read more

These guys are the real deal. I have spent a bunch of time talking with Michael and can witness to his knowledge, passion, and commitment to excellence. I do not know what the other negative reviewers are smoking. They obviously must not know much about performance shops and cars, and probably took their cars in for a build and then didn't want to pay (unfortunately all too common). I have seen and examined their work up close and gone through one of their builds with a fine tooth comb. Theirs is the highest quality work I have ever seen. If you want a high-quality and reliable build, SeriousHP and their lead man Michael DeLong is the way to go. read more

Never! Have I experienced a OVER promise and UNDER deliver as horrific as this place gave me. They told me that my parts were coming "locked" from the factory. And kept my car for weeks. If you we're buy parts from the manufacturer of my vehicle...they don't come "locked". They are only "locked" when you buy them off the black market and have been stolen. I'd like to start this review off by explaining that I, myself, am an automotive technician, with an associates degree in automotive technology and ASE certifications. I was searching for a long time to find a shop in Houston with the knowledge and experience in automotive tuning that my project required. This place is AMAZING! I took my 2005 silverado that was 5.3 to 5.7 with cam/bolt ons/243 heads and 43lb FIC injectors here for them to do a tune. It came out FANTASTIC. I'm extremely impressed. wow I am shocked by the bad reviews they took by '03 gutless wonder 4.8 Z71 and turned it in to a monster with 500+ HP and over 650 FT LBS of torque. they installed a whipple supercharger, kooks headers, stage 2 trans kit, intercooler, trans cooler, magna flow exhaust, new computer, whipple fuel pump, had to design and build a custom skid plate for the trans cooler and even put on my new steps. yes when you want a monster built it takes time to get it right. that was all they cared about doing for me. AND WOW was it worth the wait everywhere I go people notice and comment on how awesome a job they did I am proud to say it was built by Serious HP in Houston TX read more

im with Easton, this place sucks, mine went from 3-5 days to a month. I had to go back 4 times, and then a fifth to another shop to make sure everything was right. offered no resolution and no way to solve the issues at hand. and offered no transportation at their expense after all their mess ups, cost me 500+ in rental fees. The owner Jerry Stuesser doesnt know what he is doing and neither do his techs. i have countless pictures and emails of their shade tree mechanics and tactics. seriously horrible read more

I will never go back to that shop again. Actually installed new clutch plates in the wrong order. Then proceeded to tell me there was nothing wrong with my car and that it was just me. Ended up having another shop fix the clutch issue for an additional $500. Never again will I go to serioushp and I strongly recommend you think twice before you do as well.
