Enter Serrano Vista Cafe You'll be bamboozled by the chic laid back decor and beautiful bar area. Upon being seated and interacting with the staff you'll soon realize this place is filled with smoke and mirrors. Let's start off with the poor customer service. We waited in a line of 1 hour Wednesday morning at 12:30am. We just formed a line and waited... waited more... and waited more... never once did a server tell us they'd be with us in a moment or a wait time or anything. I was alarmed to see all the Hispanic customers being seated at the bar. Every single other customer sitting at a table was Caucasian or Asian. I was greeted in Spanish by the host, who- you guessed it. Told me we would be seated in the bar area. I ordered a Diet Coke, to my surprise it wasn't diet. After about 20 minute I finally had that issue fixed. The service is cold, and you feel very rushed. I started off with the green chicken pozole which I had to send back. This was disgusting. It tasted like a chicken Tea. The broth was soo bland. That is not how pozole tastes. Ask any one of the Hispanic customers that you grouped together and forefully sat at the bar. Absolutely no salt or seasoning in th pozole. Disgusting. I also ordered a a steak meanwhile my friend ordered the chorizo and papa burrito and a Turkey club sandwich. Let's just say the food is not edible. I felt like I was eating at a hospital cafeteria. The food can be excused and tolerated- but the customer service is absolute trash. I ordered the 2 egg plate with country potatoes and sourdough toast. The eggs arrived and they are clearly not over easy, not even over medium. These yolks had been ruptured in the kitchen and cooked hard. Hard and dry. I cut into pieces, thinking I would just eat them, but they were beyond. The sourdough toast came out....basically untoasted. So just to get something in my stomach, I ate a piece of the bread (not toast) and the potatoes. The potatoes were not bad. The waitress never came back to ask how our meal was. Just came at the end to give us our bill. My meal companion had the breakfast burrito and said that it was okay, nothing wrong, nothing spectacular, it was fine. I did mention to the waitress about my meal, that I didn't eat. Oh well. $45 for food that was not cooked properly at all. I won't be going back here. :( Such a shame since they closed down the Rock & Brews upstairs....not much more I can chose from. read more

Food: 4. Came by for our first meal of the day on a Wednesday around 1:30 pm. There were a few people ahead of us but the wait was short. Our server came by promptly. Since we planned to have a lobster buffet later that day, we ordered just their CALAMARI FRITTO MISTO and CARNE ASADA POUTINE FRIES even though I was starving. Food seemed to take a long time but that might have just seemed that way because I was SO hungry. Food was delivered at the right temperature. The CARNE ASADA POUTINE FRIES were my favorite of the two. Who doesn't like meat, cheese, and other adds on fries. They didn't skimp on the cheese. Service was good. Ambiance was comfortable and clean. We were given a voucher for food from a pit boss the next morning (Thursday) and used it here. We ordered food to go which is handled at the connected bar. For this order, we chose the Grilled Prime Flat Iron Steak & Eggs (which comes with choice of egg style, potatoes, and bread) and Pastrami Breakfast Burrito. I wanted the beignets but they weren't available. Food took about 20-25 mins and we didn't try any until we got home about an hour later. Steak entree did not look all that appetizing but tasted very good. I was impressed by the tenderness of the steak and the seasoning. Potatoes were also very good. 6/20/22 1:45pm Regina the host was rude. We made reservations and came 50 minutes late because we went to the wrong parking lot. She had a flat affect on her face , which in psychology terms means she didn't care at all with any emotion. She said if we were more than 15 minutes late she couldn't take us and put us on the waiting list when the place was empty. We went straight to management and they got us in. Right now I'm still waiting for my meal. I've been waiting 45 minutes so far. This has been a horrible experience so far. Management if you read this I'll will gladly take any form of compensation. This spot is really hit or miss based on who is working any given day..... i always eat at the bar area and have seen some of the best service as well as some of the worst! Jose...... is the latter. Everytime i have dined here and he was working, the food order is wrong, comes out late, or doesn't come out at all! He will stand there and talk with anybody that comes behind the bar and ignore all customers. You have to yell for him for the simplest requests.... I.E. knife, ketchup, coffee refill. My hats off to Yaamava'!! I am so impressed with all the food they serve here, at every restaurants, which they have many. It seems like what ever I order I can't go wrong. I have eaten at all the restaurants here except for the new 909 (haven't had a chance yet). About Serrano Cafe, every time I get the ribeye medium rare, wow they get it right every time. It was so tender and all the fat was rendered off perfectly to where the outside was crisp. My husband got the baked salmon, it is so flaky and cooked to perfection, so rich and the portion size is generous. I also have to mention our server, Michael, he was so professional and knew so much about the menu. He served us a few times and one of those times we did a to go order, normally they do not do to go or they make you package it your self, which can be a bummer, but since I was staying at the hotel he was glad to do it and it was so fast. I could she him working at the Pine Steakhouse, which is also in Yaamava', it's very fancy. I could totally see him working there. They keep the restaurant so clean, I love the food there and great server, it is a bit of a wait. But I will for sure be returning!! Yay read more

My order was taking longer than expected via mobile app. I went to the pick up station and an employee who I believe is named Janice informed me that my food was not yet ready. I then received a text saying it was ready, and I was waiting over 15 minutes for someone to help me at the pick up window. I had to ask the check in counter for assistance, which Janice then came back out. Unfortunately, the interaction I had with her was not pleasant.
