We got invited to have dinner and first time dining here. Our server Muriela was very knowledgeable of how dishes are prepared. We got started with the crispy calamari rings as appetizers with special Mayo dipping sauce. The Calamari was seasoned well and very tender. I had the braised short rib platter with sides of mashed potato and veggies. The meat was very tender that it melted in my mouth. Hubby got the spaghetti with meat balls. 3 big round meatballs topped the pasta. Then a light meal for our friend who ordered just Clam chowder soup. Looks very creamy and ample of fillings. Presentation was so creative with a stick of bread on top of bowl. Restaurant's interior looks simple yet classy with high ceiling and large drop ceiling lighting fixtures. I am disappointed, I often stay in the hotel and spend time in the casino. Our servers have always been great at Serrano cafe. However the food remains inconsistent. According to Fernanda the pastrami was suppose to be generously made. So my husband and I decided to share it. When it came to the table it was not a generous portion. The table next to use received their pastrami and the bun was off to the side because it was so stuffed and over flowing with meat. First time eating here. Had to make reservations, and thank God because lots of people were walking away after they were told how long the wait would be if they could get in at all. It was a concert night but i think this place gets packed almost every night. Having said that my wife and I shared the ribeye and it was amazing. Huge portion with a decent amount of vegis but surprisingly small amount of mashed potatoes. Funny because that is the cheapest item on the plate. The RUDEST hosts ever!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. I went up asking for a table and the 2 hosts ignored us. Then proceeded to sit a guy that came after us. Asked again if I can get a table just to be put on a fake waitlist. I also asked how long the wait time is and she said there's no wait time or anyone in front of us. There was a total of 3 tables dining in the whole restaurant. What a joke. Should definitely do better screening on the people they hire!!! read more

The wait staff are very nice. They tended to me, and they were very much on point. I ordered the pastrami hash which was really tasty. However, the only gripe I have is how my eggs came out. I finally got to try this restaurant! I've been to THE GROVE EXPRESS which is the to go area for this restaurant but today I'm actually dining in. I made a reservation for lunch for 2 people. No wait time, if you have a reservation and the full party. Sandra was our server and she was good. She was helpful, friendly, and welcoming. I asked if I could try the CLAM CHOWDER before ordering because I've never had it with Jalapenos before. She brought me a big tiny cup if that makes sense and I really enjoyed the taste but if I order a full bowl then I'll probably be over stuffed. I will definitely order the clam chowder next time because it was delicious with lots of ingredients. **Food took forever though... 41min wait from when we ordered. Very bad and SLOW SERVICE. I did reservation on slow Sunday. I was there 10 minutes before my reservation. And got seat in 30 minutes (5 minutes after my reservation). Sever not show up. I had to order with supervisor after 20 minutes that I got seat. Good came out another 20 minutes and missing one dish. Food was ok. But not happy to waiting 70 minutes to got food and only 15 minutes eating. read more

Today's experience was definitely better than the previous. Our server was very nice, but she wasn't aware of the fish of the day and how it was prepared. She had to go back twice and she finally read the paper she had in her notes. Lol! I had the pleasure to meet Amy, one of the managers. She had spoke with my mom a few weeks ago regarding a previous concern I had with how our server used my moms comps. So last week was our first return since that experience, and we had Eugenia (if I remember her name correctly), she was a hoot! Great personality, fast, and on top of it! Definitely a better experience than prior visits. So there has been a few changes in the menu. Not sure if it's a seasonal thing or the economics of it all. The club sandwich we had last week was a heaping sandwich with 3 slices of bread. Today, it shrunk down to the typical 2 slice sandwich and our server informed us that they had recently cut back on the weight of the turkey in the sandwich. What? And the price is the same as last week?! Lol. COVID has played a toll on the increase of food prices everywhere. Well, I don't know that for sure, but I'll stick to blaming COVID. Lol Then there's the grilled cheese sandwich. It used to be a grilled cheese with tomatoe soup. Now it's a grilled cheese with tomatoes slices! Um, what?! The tomatoes soup is a classic way to serve up grilled cheese. I love dipping my grilled cheese in the soup. Now it's served with fries, salad, or fresh cut fruit. Don't change what wasn't broken! ‍ The one irritating excuse we had though while waiting for a table a few weeks ago, the host told us that they are cleaning tables and they'll send us a text message. So, this is an open dining room. You can see pretty much the entire dining room from the casino. There was no one cleaning tables and the there were only a couple tables with dirty dishes on them. What's important here, don't fib about the situation. I think the worse thing you can do to a guest is lie to them. Overall, our weekly experiences have improved. It was just unfortunate that when they initially opened this quaint restaurant, they set the bar way high. The service was great and had good selections on their menu. If I were to make one suggestion, work on menu selections/variety. I know I'm in a unique situation where I take my mom here every week, the menu can get boring. read more

I (Wife) had gone to this place a few weeks ago and ordered Gumbo, and I could not wait to go back. It went from being good to bad, but the Manager, Nicole was despicable. My Gumbo did not have a single piece of sausage and no visible crab meat like before. My Sister who also ordered the same meal, only had one piece of sausage. When we voiced our concern to our waitress, she said she would check with the chef. Later she returned with 3 small pieces of sausage for each of us. However, she was followed by her boss, Mgr, Nicole. She (Mgr) told her our server to tell us there is no guarantee of what you will get, its whatever comes up in the laydel. However, she stood right at our table and said this. Could she have been anymore unprofessional. They should not list ingredients, if they dont plan to ensure those items will be in the Gumbo. Please know a bowl of Gumbo is $36.00. This classless Mgr should never have told her employee that in front of paying customers. To make a bad situation worse, a male manager came over and asked what the problem was. He only said he would tell their boss. I would not go back if someone offered to pay me. The good news is, that people are out and still willing to spend money. We came here on a Sunday before Memorial Day. Everyone had money to spend, the casino was packed and all the restaurants are fully booked. We were able to secure a table for 5 pm after 1.5-hour wait and sat around 5 pm. The restaurant wasn't crowded, so there may be a staff shortage of sort since there were a lot of tables open and the food took a lot longer to arrive. We ordered the Chicken Piccata, Ahi Tuna, Reuben Sandwich, Mahi Mahi, Poutine fries, and spaghetti w/ meatballs. The Mahi-mahi was fresh and the poutine carne asada style fries did pack a lot of flavors but the rest did not live up to the average $20+ price tag per plate. Most of the dishes came out room temp, the rice that came with the Ahi Tuna was cold. The presentation for all the plates was great but lacked flavor. This review is primarily based on the quality of food. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and elegant and the staff was wonderful. This place was a treat for breakfast. They had a nice selection of food. The ambiance was very nice and the service exceeded my expectations. I ordered the fruit parfait which was delish, it had oats granola, berries and really smooth yogurt. Had the eggs Benedict which was good but the English muffin was a little doughy, could have been toasted better, I'd probably get sourdough toast with it next time. The country potatoes were ok, I'd prefer hash browns but they didn't serve hash browns. I had an orange juice that wasn't freshly squeezed but tasted like it was. I had a side of bacon which was perfectly crispy and delicious. My mom had 2 eggs over medium, the eggs were cooked perfectly. The chicken sauce was too salty for me but my mom liked it. Empty tables and a 40 min wait is shocking. If it wasn't for a seat at the bar we would have left. The hostess said you could ask the bar but we don't have room to seat you. It's very strange when you can see so many empty tables. Bar tender Greg was very nice. It seems to me every time I come here there is some issue with the quick serve. Last time it was rock n brews. This time the cafe. Had a chicken club. And I will tell you that the fries were the best thing in on the plate. The bacon was burnt and cold at the same time. Yet again Yamava your food is still bad. Here for breakfast and their food is always delicious. I had the French toast today, and it was prepared perfectly. Hubby had eggs, potatoes, bacon and toast. Very much enjoyed. Our server today was Tyler, what a wonderful young woman. She had such a warm and welcoming spirit. She checked on us regularly and even brought us a pot of coffee to refill as we needed. Waiting that line for about 45 minutes and got a seat. Sat down got a menu no breakfast on it. Was told breakfast ended at 11, sat down at 1115am. At this point I just got up and left! Everything is a reservation at Yaamava and you have to make at least a week in advance. For something so simple, it was very delicious. Really cold and crisp romaine lettuce, bite size cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes. I ordered the shrimp scampi. Hubby ordered the Reuben sandwich. We had dinner here recently before seeing a show. We didn't have high expectations but ended up being very impressed. The food and service were both incredible. The burger was cooked exactly as requested, which I'm very picky about. The service was that of more of what you get in something closer to fine dining. At least that is the kind of service that Matthew provided. We will absolutely be coming back here even if it's just to eat and do nothing else at the resort/casino. We came here for dinner since the steak house was all booked up. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs which was very delicious. My partner wanted to sea bass, but the waitress said they were sold out for the night, interesting that this is a 24/7 restaurant and something could be sold out. So, my partner who is allergic to sesame, ordered the BLT instead. We requested the wheat break since the multigrain would have sesame seeds. They still brought out the BLT with the multigrain bread. The server proceeded to say that it does not have sesame seeds, but it did. What is the point of asking about allergies when making a reservation and then requesting a different type of bread and they still bring out the wrong thing. It took so long for it to be replaced. My partner was siting there hungry while I was trying not to eat all my food, as it was getting cold. I am not sure if we will be back here. read more
