What kind of person and/or alleged service professional discovers a rat infestation in duct work and crawl space and just seals it back up and doesn't let the occupant know they are being poisoned? An unethical person!!! See the email I posted under photos. Jason (the owner of Service Pros) and Anna Cosovic (office manager) were too interested in their financial gain and relationship with the property manager, Patti Lin, and other property management companies in order to deepen their pockets. For them to not divulge to the home occupants is sick and twisted and unethical! Plus, they fought a subpoena and lost producing the documents to show their material knowledge and participation of such (which is how we obtained the email/photo we've posted in fact that they knew what they were doing in colluding to cause us harm). The email is proof positive that Jason and Anna/Service Pros Plumbers have zero regard for human life or basic human decency. Just between us.....You can find a better and more ethical plumbing company that won't take shortcuts and that value health/life over their profits. Thank goodness for the California State Contractors State Licensing Board and the rules that govern ethics and duties for professional licensing of plumbers. I've got my complaint in! read more

I waited 3 days to at least hear back before writing this review. Had I at least heard back, I may have bumped it up to 3 or 4 stars but to not even call back after seeing the situation I was in is just really poor service. It started extremely well. I messaged them on Christmas Eve, they were one of a couple companies to reply back within minutes when I didn't expect any reply until at least Monday. They were the first to book with me for Monday the 26th, came on time and discussed my issue. 5 stars!!!! Great start. The guy looks at my pipe outside coming into the house(above ground) and starts telling me what I need to have done. Starts telling me the valve has to be replaced(I felt was odd since the valve is fine but he is the professional right?) and then he will need to cut the copper pipe and replace that. The line comes out of the concrete via copper, goes into a large valve, copper goes up from that, then a T joint goes up and also in to my sprinklers. The joint going into my sprinklers is where it was leaking. I was baffled by having to replace an expensive valve but he convinced me that the time it would take to remove, clean and reset that valve would be cheaper to just buy a new one. I was hesitant at the price (nearly $800) but also in a bad spot. Again, hes the professional so I agreed...let's do this. I am then met with "I don't have that size stuff on my truck and all of the plumber supplies are closed today" so he calls his boss, they discuss my needs and he convinces his boss everything is closed and he will have to come back another day. We briefly discuss my home warranty may still cover this and since I had to wait to get it fixed I would call them and find out but I had to have it fixed and requested he have someone call me "today" to reschedule as I would like to get it done tomorrow. The tech agreed to have someone call me and also agreed I should ask my home warranty as they may be on the list to do the repair anyway. GREAT! I m thinking win/win and again remind him to have someone go ahead and reschedule with me right away so I can get this done. I don't want to waste a ton of water and don't want to pay a huge water bill and definitely don't want my sprinklers to malfunction in the event of a fire. He agrees to have someone call me right away. He leaves, and that was the last I heard from them. On Tuesday afternoon I contacted another plumber to see if he could come out. He did the very next day. They never touched my valve, cut the bad pipe out above the valve, replaced the T/line and even went into the garage, had to cut out the drywall to get to the other joint inside the wall so they could solder the new pipe into the T and into the one in the wall. Turned out all the problem was,a bad piece of copper with a poor soldering job. He showed me the pipe and solder didn't go all the way around the pipe other than a small bead. All in all, with cleanup and replacing my drywall, I ended up paying a whopping $310.00.... These guys had potential to more than double the charge and I would have willingly paid(glad I didn't now) because I was in a really bad situation. Due to what I now feel of being taken advantage of because of my situation, or possibly the tech not feeling like cleaning the existing good pipe and saving the valve, or whatever it was, I have to reduce those 5 stars to 1 single star. I would have been happy to give them 3 or maybe 4 if they had at least called back and tried to help. Yes, I could have called them back but i am paying them my money to do a service for me so why should I have to chase them down. I am sure the response will be that they were waiting for me to call since I was checking with my home warranty but I have 2 issues with that. 1. why not call and see if you can assist me with info to give them. 2. The tech agreed twice at least to ensure I got this rescheduled. Finally, not really sure how there can be justification for replacing a valve that wasn't attached to the actual pipe that was leaking and convincing me its just more expensive to clean it.. Maybe he just didn't want to clean the pipes since its easier to work with new pipe and valves maybe? Look at my reviews. I don't leave a ton of bad ones. I do so when there is justification only. I saw the great reviews so i have no doubt that you are a good company. If I had to guess, I would say your tech screwed this one up from his price to failing to communicate to the boss that I wanted a call back.Hopefully this will be a good training moment. read more

We had a problem with water leaking from an upper bathroom and causing a bulge in the lower ceiling. We could not use the shower as it was an unknown leak. We called a plumber who kept putting us off for days. This was unacceptable as we only have one shower. We called Service Pros Plumbers and I spoke to Sherie. Sherie was very nice and listened to our problem. Sherie gave us an appointment for two days later but put us on her cancellation list for the next day. We were so happy when we had a plumber arrive the next day! Kevin diagnosed the problem, but since it was late in the day, he had to come back the next day to finish the job. Kevin was awesome!! On September 19, 2019 the nicest young man named Josh came to my house to fix my garbage disposal. I'm going through a rough time right now and this young man said the nicest words of encouragement. He told me to keep praying and to not give up. For him to be so young he was like an old soul. He was very polite, quick with the task at hand and cleaned up after his work was done. I have had major plumbing problems with the same toilet for the last 8 months. I called my home warranty provider - AHS (American Home Shield) and they contract with Service Pros Plumbing. This company is USELESS! All they did was come into my home, looked at the toilet and said "oh it's okay, no problem'. The first call was because my toilet overflowed and caused extensive damage to my neighbors unit - Service Pro said...."don't worry, there was just a blockage and it's cleared now.'" 4 months later, same thing!!! They come out, they changed the flapper - only because I insisted on SOMETHING being done and they were on their way. THIS TIME, I called AHS and demanded that another provider come out - I REFUSED to have SERVICE PROS come out and collect another copay for nothing! read more

We were very concerned about replacing an 11-year-old water heater on the second floor of our house above the kitchen and living room, especially after another plumber made the process sound a lot more risky and complex than it actually was. I just called to have my salt water softener installed in my home. The tech actually told me he doesn't encourage people to install them and wanted to talk me into buying their saltless water system. My call was to have mine installed not purchase a new one. He then told me my city doesn't encourage salt systems. Brentwood has not passed any laws preventing the install of salt water systems. I realize it is coming in the future, but just don't try to sell me something else than what service I'm requesting. I will go with someone who listens to my needs. read more

We had a leaking Water Heater and went through Service Pros in Antioch to get it fixed. We live in Castro Valley but they went above and beyond to get the problem taken care of. The price was fair since we needed a new water heater and had some code issues to take care of. It was extra work for Greg who spent a few hours dealing with water that wouldn't totally shut off and the routing out our over flow valve plus much more. There was another problem that popped up a few hours after Greg left, and with a quick call to the office I spoke to an answering machine. Now I'm thinking "Oh great, I'm not going to get this taken care of tonight". Wrong !!, Ana called me back and said there should be someone there with in 45 minutes. She was correct, Jason arrived and quickly solved the problem. This is such a great team, Ana dispatches and I'm sure solves a million little problems. Amazing!!! I'm one of those people who finds one small problem and I take it to level 10.. So there's s leak in my laundry room and I figure.. Crap it's coming from my bathroom! Dammit!!! I'm leaving for vacation and I have this leak!! Arghh! So whatever.. Don't stress.. Go on Yelp and find someone who can come over, break down the wall.. One of the rental properties we had had a very bad leak somewhere in the closet. Some plumber from AJ Bono (from home warranty) came out and without bothering with finding out the root cause, suggested it must be some leak under the slab and that it's better to re-route all the lines in the entire house - several thousand dollars worth of work. Called Service Pros and Jason made it out the next day, patiently explained what needs to be done to identify the cause and why it's not the best thing to blindly reroute. He helped identify the root cause and it ended up the leak was not at all under the slab! He simply needed to open up dry wall and fix - albeit it's not an easy job either but it saved us thousands of dollars! Will definitely contact them for future issues. read more

Today, while getting ready for work, I noticed the water pressure dropping rapidly and immediately went to the garage to check the status of the water heater, only to be greeted by a huge spray of water and the garage being flooded. The water heaters hot water nipple (entering the tank) had broken off at the tank and water was spraying everywhere in large volumes. I immediately shut everything down, and surveyed the damage and called Service Pros Plumbers. I talked to Jason and he said he would have someone come out ASAP, sure enough with 60 minutes Steve and his helper were here to survey the problem. After determining that we had to replace the hot water heater, they gave me a reasonable estimate, which I approved and they went to get what was needed and returned shortly thereafter.
