Lost 3 hours of my life today because of service experts of nh located in amherst nh. I left work and waited 3 hours for the tech to come to our house and in the end sent him packing with no work being done. The gentleman who came to our home was polite and professional but we were only looking for a quick cleaning before a party on Saturday because the carpets are coming out soon. We had a coupon for 3 rooms 450sqft at 99.00. I was then quoted a price of 220.00 for a deep cleaning and then scotch guarding on top of that which would be more. When I said we only wanted the special he called his boss and said they had a reputation to uphold and it would take him many passes with the steamer to get the rugs even decent and he would only do the deep cleaning because that would provide the level of cleanliness they could put their name on. I once again explained the carpets were coming out to be replaced with hardwoods and the level of service he offered was not needed but he insisted so I told him we were done then and he could go. Needless to say we will rent a rug doctor and I would not recommend these guys to anyone due to their obvious bait and switch tactics. read more

I was so surprised to read the negative review. Randy of Servicexperts cleaned my wall-to-wall carpeting, area rugs, and even the pine hardwood flooring. I was always pleased with the quality of his work, the efficient manner in which he worked, and his pleasant and professional demeanor. BUYER BEWARE!!! I asked for a total quote on a project to install hardwood floors both on my main floor and over my stairs and to install primed baseboard. Randy told me that the quote was the total cost of the job when I asked. After I signed his contract, he gradually started telling me there were materials not included in the quote including hardwood for stairs which I now know are called treads and risers that would cost another $1,200 and and he told me to be prepared for at least an additional $2,000 at a minimum in other miscellaneous materials that he could not explain. Those additional figures did not include if he found any issues under the current flooring. His response when I questioned him about it was, "You should have read the contract carefully." Then he has hardwood delivered that does not look anything like the photo he sent me and when I look up the sku# on the box he overcharged me by over $1,000 what lumbar liquidators charges. Prior to my signing his contract, he claimed he would share a discount with me that he got from them. I am not sure how you can you share a discount and overcharge someone at the same time. I initially thought this was just how it must work because I am a newer homeowner and new to hiring contractors. He informed me that he has to make money on the wood and felt entitled to charge that because he chose to deliver the wood even though it could have been delivered for a small delivery charge from lumbar liquidators. He informed me he does not take jobs if clients get their own wood because he makes money on the wood. Yet, he shared contact info with me of another client of his as a reference who shared that she purchased her own hardwood floors directly and did not pay him anything towards her hardwood floors. RANDY IS NOT UP FRONT AND TRANSPARENT WITH HIS CHARGES PRIOR TO SIGNING HIS CONTRACT. IF YOU CHOOSE THIS CONTRACTOR, READ YOUR CONTRACT CLOSELY. I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU BUY YOUR OWN MATERIALS DIRECTLY. HE IS NOT GOING TO SHARE ANY DISCOUNTS WITH YOU. When I told him via email I would have lumbar liquidators pick up hardwood and I requested a full refund, he reached out the next morning and texted he would come pick up the hardwood and refund my card. After I spent the better part of my morning helping him and another gentleman carry all the heavy hardwood boxes out to his trailer, he stormed into my kitchen and spoke very rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional to me yelling at me and insisting he would be keeping $600 for the cost of delivering and picking up wood and claiming he suddenly already primed baseboard. We had been in communication daily and he never mentioned doing anything with baseboard previously and it was my understanding this would be purchased primed. He left me traumatized, scared to trust another contractor, and took nearly $600 from me and did nothing but disrespect me, manipulate me, and deflate the real cost of his job to get me to sign a contract with him. Buyer beware! I hired the owner of Servicexperts, Randy, to install hardwood in my home. He didn't install correctly and my floor started buckling after one week. Randy refused to take any responsibility or fix the problem. He was nice until there was a problem, and then he became confrontational and extremely unprofessional. read more

While I thought after meeting Randy that this was going to be a great working relationship and I could perhaps use them for other jobs when needed, it did not work out that way. Randy was nice, enthusiastic and reassuring to my reluctance to have another company do work at my house when my previous experience was dreadful. I started to see signs though--not arriving at the time specified and even cancelling to show up at all 3 hours after they were supposed to have already been there. I was told the work would be completed to. Y satisfaction, but when I was not satisfied, Randy was very quick to become rude. It is apparent that he does not have the patience for the fine details, which is too bad. I had hoped to use him for a carpet install, but after this experience, I could never use Servicexperts again.
