Given that view and the best fried seafood and raw bar to be had on the cape, I am always shocked at how many lifelong Capers have no idea this place exists. Must be the location...off junction of 6A and Route 134 and tucked behind a boatyard, there are still mobs of locals and tourists alike that find this beauty on a nice day. It's byob, the raw bar with local clams, oysters and sashimi tuna is pricy but worth it. Don't waste 6 bucks on a quahog stuffie; no clams, odd thanksgiving flavor to breading. Fried platters of clams, scallops and shrimp plus the huge lobster rolls are the marquee players but the grilled tuna with spicy slaw and steak and cheese should not be underestimated. Over the years as it's expanded its added the usual barrage of tee shirts and sweats to grab more of your money as u stand in line to order but the food, efficient order taking and service, along that view, make it all worth while. AMAZING LOBSTER ROLLS! They are a bit pricey (almost $23 each) but totally worth it. You get A LOT of fresh lobster on a buttered, toasted bun. It comes with fries and coleslaw. We also got steamers, which were just as fresh and delicious. There is a line typically but it's worth the wait and goes by pretty quick. Horrible experience at this seafood cafe/shack. I ordered 2 lobster rolls ($70 cash) one for myself and one for my wife. I sat down at the picnic tables outside. The rolls were brought out and seagulls attacked. The food was directly in front of me and they grabbed lobster off the plates. I chased one away and another attacked. When I complained to the owner his response was he has no control over the seagulls. No replacement or refund offered! Though as good as it is, I might say the atmosphere is my favorite part of SHC! Sure, it was about as perfect a day as summer days get, and the waters and beach were bustling with people and boats alike, and there were empty picnic tables for us, and I had two dogs laying at my feet. Not sure what the hype is about the place, besides the view of the marina (which is super cool). The first time we tried to come here, there was about 300 people in line, so we left and decided to try again when it wasn't so busy. We assumed that since it was so packed it was a good place. So wrong. We made it back last night and came early so we could avoid the long line. There was only about 10 people in line this time. We got up to order and the girl behind the counter was not friendly and made us feel rushed. I ordered a Caesar salad and my mom got a garden salad. She also wanted a cup of chowder but was told she had to order it separate at the raw bar. We found a good spot by the water and sat and waited...and waited...and waited. A good 30+ minutes later we finally got our salads. They were warm, wilted, and not appetizing at all. While picking through my salad trying to find a decent piece of lettuce, I found CHOCOLATE CHIPS on the bottom of my plate!! Seriously? Is the kitchen so unorganized that chocolate chips end up in a salad? While we waited for our disgusting salads, we ordered a cup of clam chowder and half dozen oysters from the raw bar. For $7 you get a tiny serving of chowder. The oysters took about 20 minutes to come out and are served on a paper plate, also tasted a little warm. They are not on ice, and for $16 I would expect them to at least be on ice. The place itself is dirty. Dirty inside and trash everywhere outside. I picked up at least 3 handfuls of trash just walking back and forth to the raw bar. I $50 later we left still hungry. Not sure if we would ever come back. read more

Honestly the food and the view are really good and it's overall a great experience if you can stomach the attitude you'll get from the teenage girls who ring you up and bring you your food. We were there in the late afternoon on 7/21 and after spending well over $300 on seafood for our group the brunette cashier could not hide her general annoyance for the life of her. I think she rolled her eyes about 6 times during our brief interaction. Then we asked for not one but two take out bags from another server as we headed out and you would of thought we asked for all of the cash in the register. I have been waiting 13 years to get my hands on one of these moist lobster rolls and boy was it worth the wait. I took my first bite and I immediately broke down in tears because of how succulent the bun tasted and how fun my taste buds were having. The curly girl at the counter had the most beautiful personality and I immediately fell in love! I will be coming back every single day of my life because it was the freshest piece of lobster that has ever been in my mouth. I got home after and immediately drove back to get another roll because I couldn't stop daydreaming about how tasty it was and I wanted to ask the curly girl on a date. My son had a 2 pound lobster that was over cooked by like five minutes but he still enjoyed it except for the claws towards the tip. It was brown and hard from over boiling. Way over-rated and needs to get their act together! We ate here in early June. Lucked out on a parking place. The big problem is total disorganization in the ordering process. The line began outside. There was little information that guided us in what we would find inside. As we got closer to the door, we saw signs that cash only is accepted. What we couldn't see clearly was a menu. Almost in the door, the line came to an abrupt halt due to people ahead using the ATM. It's right inside the door! The line takes a diagonal course across the room to the order counter. Servers carrying trays of food from the kitchen to the left of the order counter have to ask to break through the line to deliver food. There was only one order taker and the menu is on the wall behind the counter. It is extensive but not large enough to read until very close to the counter, so orders were held up while people studied the menu, asked questions, and made their decisions. Once at the counter we learned that adding clam chowder, steamers or other appetizers meant we had to get in another line and place a separate order at the bar! Say whaaaa? We expected a wait for food. What we didn't expect was that it wouldn't all come out at the same time. The food was average and expensive for quantity received. We had fried clams, steamers, clam chowder, a lobster roll, and french fries. The batter was too thick and crunchy on the clams and they were overcooked. The steamers were sandy. The fries, lukewarm. My husband and I tried this place during our vacation after a recommendation we received from our hotel. This place is really more of an experience vs. somewhere to go to just grab a bite to eat. You bring your family and friends, some drinks (BYOB) and enjoy good company. People even brought their own chairs and their pets to hang out with them. We waited in line for about 45 minutes and another 40 minutes to actually get our food. We noticed that fried and steamed dishes seem to come out faster. Food: We both got baked cod. The prices were comparable to every other restaurant on the cape. The food was really good - we left feeling full and satisfied. Our side dishes were potato salad and corn on the cob. The potato salad was pretty unique - unlike what we've tasted before, but delish. The stuffing we had in our cod was really good! It was actually on top of the cod vs. inside, which was interesting. We felt like the food was worth the wait. Atmosphere: Great view of the marina - you eat right on the ocean. Pretty fun place to eat and hang out with your family. Extremely crowded, so you'd have to be comfortable with crowds. If you come at the right time you can see the sunset! Pros: True cape cod experience, beautiful place to eat by the marina, great food, fun and unique atmosphere. Cons: Crowded and a long wait, hard to get a seat. Recommendations: Bring your own chairs if you don't want to fight for a table and bring a bottle of wine or a case of beer to enjoy the evening. Great Cape Cod feel - even if they have gravel on the ground, instead of crushed quahog shells! Decided to try stuffed quahog as well. Ate about six small bites and that was it. The Fried Scallop Platter: My wife only got the half and holy cow, there had to be 12 scallops on there. They were delicious. That perfect texture of crispy outside and soft warm center! Breakfast: 3 Eggs over easy, rye toast and the most delicious home fries on the eastern seaboard... I mean they should package and sell them at the local markets... Side of bacon... Add this to the views and you've got yourself a slice of paradise! I really liked this place. My friends and I were going to the cape for a weekend and I love lobster rolls so we searched for the best ones in Dennis and Sesuit popped up - I'm so glad it did. The restaurant is nautical and typical cape style, with buoys hanging on the outside, it kind of looks like a boat house. You order inside and eat outside along the water, very nice setup. They have a huge parking lot, which is convenient because it does get packed! The wait for the food was not long at all and the staff are friendly. By far one of the best lobster rolls I've had. Normally love this place. Have been coming here for years. Things have really gone down hill lately. Ordered take out to eat at home due to covid. The meal was inedible. The baked stuff cod was cold, over cooked and soggy. The fishy smell over took the house. We called the restaurant to explain our disappointment. We had dinner last night at Sesuit Harbor Cafe. The parking was not really a problem. We did have to park within a 3 minute walk away. It was a busy time 5pm so the line was long, but not a long wait to get through. When you enter the building you order then go outside to wait for your food, there is no inside seating! The seats are picnic tables. Most people grab seats before their party even orders their food, so people who have gotten their food may have to wait for a seat. We waited 5 minutes for someone to get up. There were two tables "reserved" (they don't take reservations) and stayed unoccupied the hour we were there. We ordered a $6.50 cup of chowda at the Raw Bar before getting our main meal. Let's say for $6.50 I wasn't satisfied. The cup was probably maybe 6oz. I give the taste a 4 out 5. We ordered the lobster rolls. I guess everyone raves about them. The rolls had a huge slice of tomato in them. The tomato took up too much space and I discarded it. The lobster itself tasted good, more claw than I'd like but still good. It came with slaw and fries. The slaw was a good basic slaw, not too much not too little just right. The fries were ehhh. Overall an ok experience. CASH ONLY. I'm on the look out for a great experience my first time on the Cape. read more
