Sev is the​ 5th company that I am getting laser hair removal with. I got laser hair removals from companies​ that are "high end", but saw no results. Sev I have seen great results. Their process is a bit different. Even though I am doing a small area, they are done with me in about 2 minutes. It is way faster than other locations. I do see results so it's funny that they take less time. Scheduling and booking here and getting someone on the line is very hard, but they are just really nice and professional about it. I received my very first laser hair treatment just last weekend. I'm sure this place has heard it a million times over but honestly? HOW DID I WAIT SO LONG TO TRY IT?? I tried a Brazillian wax many years ago and that experience left me traumatized. I've shaved for so many years and just assumed I had a very low pain threshold for this sort of stuff. I finally decided to bite the bullet and went for practically an entire body laser treatment (all or nothing, get it over with type of mentality). I'm so happy I decided on SEV. Awful experience! I almost never leave a review because a lot of what we experience can be just how we felt in that moment or sometimes just an accident, but I was excited about this place and my first laser experience here I even told them I will pay extra to do my upper legs ( I had bought groupon for lower legs). Yes, I was about 10 min late but it is because their are hidden in a small plaza, Which nowhere it is mentioned and said the place is in a small plaza. So I was going up and down the street to find the place, when I got there one of the receptionist was so nice ( with curly hair) but the other one was so mean ! Just because I was 10 min late they told me I can not have my upper legs done ( which was scheduled) AND they will charge me half of the price ( basically for nothing) ! $35 is nothing, it is not gonna change my life but the attitude and the way the receptionist was talking and treating me was BS ! The receptionist was very friendly & My nurse Angeline did a great job & was very thorough... she kept asking me how I was doing & checking on me to make sure I wasn't in any pain or discomfort. they say "beauty is pain", and i assumed this would be super painful, but I WAS WRONG! i seriously can't believe it - i'm in love. i purchased a groupon for 6 treatments to a "large area", and i chose full brazilian and armpits. my n.p. was kamasha (apologies if i spelled her name incorrectly), who is sooooo personable, sweet, kind - just the all around package. she was so welcoming and informative, explaining how the laser works and how sev is different from other laser hair removal spots in that there is a cooling fan that staves off the pain usually caused by the heat of the laser singing the roots. first came the pits, and she did a test patch explaining that she can adjust the intensity if it ends up being painful....but it wasn't. not even kind of. she'd told me it would feel like a light rubber band snap to the skin, but not as intense as it's a rapid snap. i can say with total confidence that you won't even feel that. it was like she was touching the spot, but not snapping it. i can't even say it was "tolerable", cuz that still sounds like there was some level of pain involved. and there just wasn't. next came the brazilian, which she warned could be more sensitive than the pits. NOTHING, guys. the slightest touch ever. i can't believe it. i was completely comfortable the whole time and the entire visit lasted about 7-10mins but most of it was us chatting, and kamasha explaining the process and laser. i truly might have thought this wasn't working except that i could smell some of the burning hair. so here we are. i'm going 24 hours without deo, 48-72 hours without hot environments/sweating, and a week without shaving prior to my next appointment in 4 weeks which i actually can't wait for. feels like i'm improving myself, and visiting a friend for the fastest "hello, how are you" of my life. 10 out of 10. read more

Okay, let me start off with I LOVE THIS PLACE! Not only is their technology amazing- but the joy lies in the people they hire. Everyone is SOOO NICE! Like I want to befriend all the girls because they're so sweet. 1st, the girls up front (I'm horrible with names) but for the most part it's the same 2 girls and they are a dream! Always so sweet and helpful. 2nd, the girls running the laser machine. So far, I've got to meet 3 different girls and again, super sweet, absolutely hilarious and make the fact that you're spread like a butterfly during a Brazilian so comfortable. They always chat with you and it's honestly like talking to a friend! It's definitely worth the 1.5 hr round trip drive for me. The work environment from a client perspective is amazing, the location is gorgeous (they all are) and the results! THE RESULTS ARE CRAZY! Currently doing 9 different areas and LET ME TELL YOU!!!! After 1 session, 70% of the hair DID NOT GROW BACK!! The prices are seriously too good- You can't compare Sev to Laser Away or any other business. The technology and pricing is much superior. I transferred from Sherman oaks to hermosa due to the opening of calabasas and I am obsessed. Though the nurses may not be consistent as far as having the same nurse every time you come in for an appointment, having a new friendly EXPERIENCED nurse help guide you through a new adventure makes coming to SEV all the more exciting. Update: On April 19th, the manager contacted me and apologized for the service I received on Saturday, April 17th and offered me an extra lower leg laser treatment which was greatly appreciated. I called today, May 25th, to schedule my additional 3 appointments, only to be told the next available Saturday morning appointment will be in October or call to see if anyone cancels prior to then...WOW! I work Monday - Friday and unfortunately I do not live down the street from the Hermosa location...I paid in advance, so I guess it will be next year before I can get these last 3 procedures complete..I can't wait for this experience to be over. read more

I loved my experience here! I bought a Groupon for bikini and underarms that was an incredibly good deal. I thought I would be treated lesser than because sometimes that happens with Groupon purchases but they were sooo amazing. My appointment was a month out and you should definitely book well in advance but it was so worth it. Office staff was kind and quick, and my technician was sooo wonderful. She made me feel comfortable, was super sweet, and explained everything before she did it. I wish I remembered her name, but she was beautiful and had cute dreads. The pain wasn't any worse than waxing, and since it's about the same price when you factor in monthly waxes, I'd say it's the cheaper investment. I've only had my first treatment but I can instantly tell my hair growth has been majorly reduced. So happy and can't wait for the rest of my appointments! read more
