The menu includes a lot of options GF/Veg and for meat lovers! The ambience is great and service is excellent. Tucker was our server and he was very attentive and gave his recommendations on what to order. It was our first time visiting and I highly recommend visiting for family and friends.

Fantastic food and amazing service! Every time I come here I have a great experience with my party. Food is phenomenal! I got the Denver egg scrambled and the green salsa - 10/10! Best green salsa and French toast I've had. Only tough part is the parking its always packed so parking can be tight. Overall this is a fantastic breakfast place!

This place has become a family event destination, today was a birthday brunch. We walked right in with no wait and were taken care of by Kat. Food was brought out to us quickly and my drink (7 mile latte) was delightful. My family all ordered a few plates of french toast and I got the huevos ranchero plate. The french toast looked like a art piece when placed in front of us and my plate looked equally appetizing! The service here is always amazing, the atmosphere is very cozy and while it was moderately full, was quiet enough to enjoy a pleasant brunch with the family. We will always think of Seven Mile Cafe for our family birthday outings and know it will be a great time!

I've been to the location in flower mound. This location blew my mind! Two floors. Stair cases for guest and servers. Our server Grae (Gray?) was just delightful. She was so attentive when we asked for the vegan blue berry pancake. She informed us the pancake batter itself did not have blueberries in it, but the kitchen can make it that way. When we were served we got both blueberries inside and on top. So YUM. And do yourself a favor and get a frozen Irish coffee ;)

Hashbrowns were more like those potato chip crispies you use to get in a can.

We decided on this place because of the reviews, and now I know better! Maybe it's too much to expect friendly service nowadays. Brenden helped us and we were surprised that we couldn't sub pineapple juice for OJ. None the less, our drinks were great. But that's as far as the greatness got. My food was dry and flavorless, and the hashbrowns are deep fried shoe string fries. Very disappointing. My fiancee had the burrito which came with black beans that were flavorless and cold. To add insult to injury, the prices here don't justify the outcome. We decided to return about a month later because I had friends who were so surprised by my review. Again, simply disappointed by the service and the food. Apparently, the pancakes are the only thing worth having here. On to the next!!!

Love Seven Mile Cafe because they're consistently good everytime I go. This time I went with my daughter and the everything was on point. Our server was very helpful in explaining dishes and everything came out in a timely manner. I got the OG Benedict and my daughter got the Birthday Cake French Toast. We love everything about Seven Mile from the food, service, and the ambiance. If you're thinking about getting a good brunch with some good vibes and great service this is your place!!

I ordered one of their seasonal lattes and had a moment of silence for how pretty and perfectly balanced it was. Today was our very first visit and we were very impressed. I'm vegan and the menu had as many vegan offerings as their usual fare. And the food was amazing! This is my new favorite brunch restaurant.

As soon as we got to the café, they put us on a waiting list and it was like 20 minutes, orders got taken really quickly and we got our food pretty quickly as well. Though there wasn't any asking of is this all right? They didn't ask if we need anything else in this kind of give us our food Which seeing as this is our first time we had questions we wanted syrup and other things and we just weren't given those things till way later The café itself is super beautiful so pretty and I low-key wish we ate outside because it was such a beautiful day outside, but that's fine. The food menu was Diverse. There were a lot of options when it came to what you could eat. I do wish that there was sides for the waffles, pancakes and French toast, but there isn't and you kinda have to buy more if you want those sides in that full menu dish. Seeing as usually I get like a sweet breakfast like either pancakes waffles French toast, stuff like that I decided to try something new and I got a biscuit sandwich. I mainly picked up because I knew it came with size that I really wanted to try like their hashbrowns they're bacon in their eggs. This place is a little pricey so if you're more on the side of looking for a low budget breakfast, this may not be your place to go

Every time I mean to take pictures I forget until we've already devoured almost everything. Their standout entrées are basically all the benedicts, grits and migas. Also always ask for cilantro jalapeño salsa, you will not regret it. The servers are so friendly and happy to help with suggestions. Just an overall wonderful place that we love taking out of town visitors to. read more

When I was nine, I got lost in the woods behind my childhood home. It was early morning, just after sunrise. I was supposed to be walking to the bus stop, but I saw something small and blue dart between the trees and I followed it. I walked for what felt like hours, but when I looked at my watch, it had only been seven minutes. I found a clearing I'd never seen before. In the center was a table -- a full breakfast laid out on top. A breakfast burrito, mug of coffee still steaming. No chairs. No people. I stood there a long time, trying to figure out if I was dreaming. Then I heard something behind me. Footsteps, slow and steady, like someone who wasn't in a rush but very much intended to arrive. I didn't wait to see who it was. I ran. I didn't stop until I was back at the bus stop, knees scraped, lungs on fire. I never told anyone. That was the last time I felt truly hungry. Until yesterday. I was driving when I saw it. "7 Mile" -- no subtitle, no promises. I pulled in on instinct. Inside, everything felt... intentional. Like each chair had been placed by someone who'd done it before. The light from the windows hit the silverware just right. My server was named Mateo. I didn't tell him anything about the forest or the breakfast table or the seven minute time slip. But he looked at me like he already knew. Like he recognized me. I asked him what I should get. He smiled and walked straight to the back. When the plate hit the table, it made a sound I hadn't heard in years -- the same soft clink I remembered from the clearing. I took a bite and immediately remembered how cold my hands had been that morning in the woods. I remembered the shape of the coffee mug. I remembered the footsteps. Mateo came by only once after I started eating. He refilled my water without speaking. When he left, I noticed a faint blue thread hanging from the hem of his apron. I didn't ask about it. Anyway, I'm not saying this place is haunted. I'm just saying the food woke something up in me that's been sleeping since 2010. And Mateo? He might not be from hebackre. But he's doing good work. 5 stars! Would go read more

Tara was amazing She gave us recommendations for food. Talked about a lot of different things that we could try. It was hard to decide but went for it, and everything was good. Every time I come to Denton I go to this place. It is a little pricey for breakfast but the food does not disappoint. They also have really good coffee selections. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. It gets really busy so plan accordingly. read more

Wowza! REALLY?? $17 for 2 eggs, toast, hash brown and bacon??? You are literally $4 more than 99% of breakfast places (even the ones who are stomping you in reviews). It's breakfast.... In DENTON.. you have a cool little building, but, geez. Seven Mile is my go-to brunch spot! Admittedly I'm not a huge brunch person, so it's rare that I make the trip to Seven Mile, but when I do I always have a great time. The French toast is my favorite, they offer many different flavors and toppings but I usually keep it simple with berries. It gets pretty packed on weekends, so definitely come early to get your name on the wait list. Brunch is always a loud and chaotic experience pretty much anywhere you go, and Seven Mile is no exception. If you're looking for a classic brunch spot, you can't go wrong with Seven Mile! read more

The service was quick and friendly! Our server was great!! The food was very tasty and beyond plentiful!! The biscuits and gravy were spot on! My husband ordered the petit serving of cinnamon roll French toast; it was rich and delicious! One of our girls ordered the chicken and waffles and loved it! The other girl ordered biscuit breakfast sandwiches and really enjoyed them with a side of fresh fruit. The only odd bit was the cup of sauce that came with her order and none of us could figure out what it was supposed to be! lol Two stories with an elevator and stairs; comfortable temperature even in Texas summer heat! Playful. This cafe was a great stop on the way from the airport. We enjoyed green juice, a kale salad and a monte cristo. Lots of options available for both breakfast and dinner! I was a little disappointed when I tried to order a virgin spicy Bloody Mary and was told that wasn't possible for any of the alcoholic drinks. Maybe they were premixed? If so, that wasn't explained but that's ok. Everything else was on point and playful. read more

The location and parking was sweet for 10 am on a Friday morning. We were taken to our seats and from that point on Grey, continued to exceed our expectations. I enjoyed Seven Mile so much I had to revisit less than a week later. I tried a new dish since the grits were so good during my first visit. I got the Farmhouse Biscuit dish. The serving of hasbrowns was plentiful, the biscuits were soft and fluffy, and the sauces complimented the fish perfectly. I felt the ratio of biscuit to meat and eggs was very off; I would've preferred just one biscuit sandwich with double the bacon. Each sandwich had a single slice of bacon cut in half; they were good, but the bacon was basically nonexistent with the amount of egg and the thick biscuits. Hashbrowns were amazing! The service was just as great as the first time. Our waitress was training a new employee, who seemed to be in very good hands. Dined inside this time, so I got to analyze the decor a bit more. Loved it! The bar chairs are so stylish. Everything pairs well. The Denton mural behind the main counter is very cool. read more

Great breakfast date place! Bonus: they serve Stumptown coffee! (Great coffee!!) Service was super friendly and the wait time quoted was very accurate. Food was delicious and good portion sizes for the prices. I think the star of the meal was the pancake we decided to share. SO yummy with fresh fruit and perfect pancake. Can't wait to go back and try another of their pancake choices.. and this time get my own so I don't have to share. read more

Came here for brunch and got a couple of items. We had the Brioche French toast which was honestly the best French toast we've had with the perfect balance of sweet and flavorful. We do had the pumpkin spice latte which was delicious (even without the whipped cream). Service was amazing - we sat outside as we came with our puppies and still received 5 star service. read more

Something about Mateo. He was a breath of fresh air. Felt like a normal guy at first. Then he started to get comfortable, real comfortable. Which our table loved! I love when servers have genuine conversations with us! we know the food is good. That's not what this review is about, it's about fate. And I was destined to sit and get served by Mateo today. Absolutely LOVE this place!!! All of their food is good. I went this past Saturday for brunch. I was disappointed that they don't serve lunch items until 11, but they have a huge menu!....So many good options. This time I shared the egg cheese bacon biscuits and hash browns with my boyfriend. He also got a Texas size pecan pumpkin spice pancake. The plate was huge and one meal was definitely enough for two people. Staff is super friendly. The decor is cute. They have cool facts and funny jokes on the TV screens by the door. The restaurant fills up fast on the weekend, so I recommend to go as early as possible if you do not want a wait. I wish we had one of these closer to Allen/Plano area. read more

I was not impressed. I ordered the garden scramble with a side of avocado and an iced lavender latte. The eggs were not cooked all the way. The whites were slimy, the bread which is advertised as "sourdough bread" tasted like just plain white bread. Then half my plate was hash browns that looked like they come from a bag. It would be ok if the price point wasn't $18. I felt extremely disappointed for what I got versus what I paid for. Then I got avocado on the side .. which was equivalent to 1/4 of a whole avocado and it was $2. My latte was also tasted watered down and again a disappointment especially considering it was $6. Honestly the whole experience ruined my day. I wish I could have gotten my money back and just went somewhere else. I didn't even eat the rest of the food I ended up taking with me (shown in the box) which was most of my food. read more

Established in 2011.

The name comes from Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman Islands. The owners honeymooned at that spot and enjoyed it so much that the name was passed along to the Cafe. The Cafe was established to offer the Denton Community a warm and inviting space to enjoy top quality breakfast and lunch items.

If I could, I would give it 3.5 stars. The Good: The coffee was absolutely delicious. My friend and I went here for brunch and we both go the bottomless cup. The flavor was full and rich. They offer a variety of different milks, I love soy but my friend is partial to almond, we were both happily accommodated. Best part: because there are unlimited refills the waitress brought each of us a to go cup. The atmosphere was really cute, my friend and I enjoyed the art on the walls. It has a really great vibe. The Just Okay: Our seating wasn't great. We were squished up against a wall in a two-seater and my back was to a walkway. I was bumped more than a few times, as its a high traffic area. It definitely disrupted my experience, but its a small place so its hard to arrange it in any other way. The food was nothing to brag about. I got a tofu scramble with spinach and mushrooms and vegan cheese (extra .50), and subbed the hash browns for a fruit cup (.75). I have to say I was disappointed. It tasted a bit overcooked and was nothing I couldn't have just made at home. I didn't realize that the toast came with butter on top, the menu didn't mention it, so that was also annoying. I couldn't find my waitress to flag her down for some more, and just ended up leaving it to the side. Its a bit nit-picky, but since I had thus far ordered nothing but vegan you think she would have mentioned it. Another thing that really disappointed me was in regards to the scrambles; there wasn't a "veggie" option. Sure, you could make your own, but each ingredient is .75 each. Those add up quickly. Priding themselves on being vegetarian/vegan you would think they would offer a garden scramble, or something of the sort. Which leads me to... The Bad: The prices are a bit much in my opinion. If I wanted a simple scramble, but with a variety of veggies it could easily cost me almost $5 in addition to the base fee. Not to mention the additional fee to make anything vegan or vegetarian. Also, besides the bottomless cup the coffee is a bit pricey as well. Just under $5 for an iced NOLA coffee, or $4.75 for a latte. The cups really aren't that large, and I don't think you're getting something comparable to the price. Since I drink quite a lot of coffee the bottomless turned out to be a fantastic deal for me. If I just wanted one cup though, I might have a hard time paying almost $3, because again the cup they serve isn't that large. Our waitress wasn't super attentive either, we had to wave her down a few times. Considering we went on a Wednesday morning, it wasn't that busy, but our food took a long time to come out. I know the kitchen isn't her fault, but it would have been nice if she kept an eye on our coffee instead of having to bring it to her attention all the time. read more

Seven Mile Cafe is one of those places that wins you over before the food ever arrives. The space is gorgeous. Large restaurants often feel like eating inside an aircraft hangar with pancakes, but Seven Mile somehow pulls off the opposite. They've used the space brilliantly, creating little pockets of comfort and intimacy that make you forget there are dozens of other people around. It's warm, inviting, and comfortable without trying too hard. Whoever designed the flow of the place deserves a raise and possibly a breakfast burrito. The menu is enormous. If you've ever wanted a restaurant to look you directly in the eye and say, "What if we made literally everything?" this is your spot. There are so many options that choosing breakfast starts to feel like applying for graduate school. The food is good. And I mean that sincerely. Good. Not life-changing. Not "I saw God in a waffle." Not "I immediately texted three friends and changed my personality." Just good. The challenge is that some dishes seem determined to be more important than they need to be. Sometimes breakfast doesn't need a backstory, a mission statement, and a personal brand. Sometimes eggs just want to be eggs. There's a tendency toward elevation where simplicity might actually serve the food better. Still, the food is enjoyable across the board, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with being a really solid breakfast and brunch spot. The waitstaff, however, are exceptional. Friendly, attentive, kind, on top of everything, and somehow managing to navigate a packed restaurant without looking stressed. They made the experience noticeably better, and that's not always the case. Major credit to the team. Now we arrive at the part of the review where my wallet would like to make a statement. The price. No. No no no. Absolutely not. The prices feel about 30% higher than they should be. Every time something arrived at the table, my taste buds said, "This is good," while my bank account quietly whispered, "Are we being extorted by breakfast?" It's not that the food is bad. It isn't. It's good. But the pricing suggests I should be having a transformative spiritual experience involving maple syrup and self-discovery. In the end, Seven Mile Cafe is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service, a huge menu, and reliably good food. I'd happily eat there again. I'd just like my pancakes and my credit card to be on speaking terms afterward. read more

How Expensive Is Tea, Really? I mean, the food was great. Portion sizes were ample and we were early birds so the plates came out quickly. This was our first time sitting upstairs and there was a ton more room than we ever realized before. The music wasn't too too loud and everything looked updated and clean. The wooden chair backs flair out a little at the top so elbow room was tight even for two people at a four top. The service was terrific...until we paid and asked to fill our reusable to-go cups. In time-honored tradition we were invisible once we paid. Now, I am aware that our to-go cups are LARGE. But their table cups are relatively small, especially considering the $3.50 price tag. The price of their food and drinks more than compensates for the amount of tea it would have taken to fill our cups. We knew it would be a bit pricey and we ordered extra goodies so we were prepared to pay a bit more. Our breakfast for two plus tip (and we always tip a minimum of 20%) came out to $72.38. That's for breakfast, y'all. Why ruin a perfectly good experience by deigning to give us one more refill in our table cups and then ignoring us no matter how long we sat there and tried to flag you down? How much can one or two more refills actually affect the store's bottom line? You're not even out the cost of to-go cups, or straws. We brought our own. The warm and fuzzies we got from the good food and up-until-the-end good service were left at the table on our way out. The price is just too high for our bottom line. read more

Today I went for the first time with my husband and we absolutely enjoyed it! The atmosphere/environment was nice and the staff were friendly! Our server Tara was awesome! She gave us recommendations and always had a smile! We ordered the papas rancheras and the farmhouse biscuit sandwich and loved it! You definitely get a good amount of food. I would recommend this place and if you go ask for Tara! read more

I crave their seven mile latte all the time. I love how fresh and local their ingredients are and they have a big selection that is vegan friendly. The portions look small but they are super filling. I always leave stuffed and with a doggie bag. I wish more places like this were open all day. I would eat breakfast three times a day if they were. Can't wait to bring my family when they come to town. read more

Food was amazing as always! I always get the Chocolate Coffee Cream, Berry Dream French Toast, and some sort of bowl like the Monkey Bowl! Hubby gets Nutella French Toast and Eggs. Mateo Was our server and he was attentive and thought of things I forgot about like a to-go cup for my granola. He will be our go-to server when we come to Seven Mile! Ambience is okay, lol. There were no imperfections to this place, and their food was simply majestic! The smell of coffee, different things decorated around the place, and the amazing service was almost heavenly! The French toast that I had ordered looked like some meal you'd get on your birthday! This cafe is simply amazing. I came and had the eggs benedict served to me by my wonderful waitress Mel. She was so attentive and was quick to address my culinary needs. This combined with the restaurants warm ambiance made for the perfect breakfast. One again, Mel is a fantastic waitress and she had a pleasant aroma as well. Had breakfast with some local friends during a short visit. The place was jam packed with families and graduates. Wait time was right about 45 minutes but so worth it. Lovely vegan menu, including espresso drinks. Bring a big appetite or plan to share and maybe even take some home. Hard to choose but I think I already know what I'm ordering on our next visit! read more
