Falafel Wrap (no sauce to make it vegan), Hummus Classic & French Fries

Ordered a falafel wrap hummus & fries. The food was decent but lacking a bit of flavor. We also waiting a bit longer because I think our order got mixed but overall it was an ok experience.

Service was excellent, friendly and fast. A nice neighborhood kebab shop and all you need sometimes. I ordered the lamb & beef gyro wrap and was really delicious. We also got free tea while we waited. Add to your list of wholesome & fulfilling food places to try.

The Falafel is fresh hot out of the oven. Although I wish there is more than 3 falafels. The salad itself it's really fresh. The order made pretty quickly. Will try other items from this place.

826 Van Ness Ave San Francisco, CA 94109 My job took me to this part of San Francisco at around 8:45pm on a Thursday. I happen to find a parking spot right in front of the Van Ness Cafe. I noticed they were open until 10pm, so I came back to grab some food to go. You know, I haven't had a Gyro sandwich in a long time! The place was really clean and well lit. Lots of tables and spacious dining area. There's lots of items on the menu, but I just wanted a Gyro to-go. The Mgr helped me use the ordering screen. I ordered a Lamb & Beef Gyro, with a salad base. I asked for spicy, and it came with a spicy sauce. Price: $11.95. Pretty good sized Gyro sandwich. When I got home I weighed it, and it was nearly 18-oz! That's about as heavy as a burrito. Lots of shredded meat and fresh salad. The balance of meat and salad give you the impression that the Gyro is a healthy meal. The spicy sauce really added some heat. Overall, a good experience and I would return.

Super dope service. Came in really late and the guy behind the counter had a really great attitude. He was super nice, I asked for a water cup not knowing they had a water self serve station and he asked if I wanted to have a free soda instead and grabs me a water bottle insisting I have it. Then served a free dessert as well. (I ordered the baklava other dessert was the free one) Over all I'm very happy with the portions and the food tasted great. The restaurant was clean and well kept. However the service was just next level, owner clearly did everything to give me a pleasant experience, and I don't want his hard work to go unnoticed. Will definitely be coming back!!

Wow! The spinach and feta pie has a crispy crusty pillow top several inches high that burst into tiny crackly pieces with every bite. Perfect. Don't microwave it! Toaster oven or air fryer only. And the chocolate baklava should t be missed either

Came here on my lunch break and needed something quick. Service is really fast, and you get a baklava (which is flaky, sticky and delicious) if you check in on Yelp, which is also another incentive to try this place. I ordered the lamb and beef gyro plate to go, which also came with rice, hummus, some salad and grilled veggies, pita, and sauces. the lamb could've been seasoned a bit more but everything else was good. Portion-wise, this is a good amount and I felt full. Everything tasted and was exactly what I wanted - a no-frills plate of lamb and rice with some sauce and veggies. I'll come back the next time I have a craving!

I went to San Francisco to visit some relatives for Mother's Day. My wife's family loves backlava, and in the process of searching for it, I ended up stumbling into this little shop. They gave me free baklava and a shot of coffee, I am not sure if they do this for everybody but made me feel special. They explained the different types they offer and even gave me discount so in some ways, I was encouraged to buy different types and I bought a couple of trays for the whole family. Let's just say that I didn't know baklava cost this much, until I went to Turkey and saw that it ain't cheap.

Good food and service. Hearty menu. I recommend this place. I have had the lamb and beef plates and it's all been delicious.

It can be incredibly difficult to find a venue for a crowd on short notice, but we were able to book a reservation for a party of 16 people just three days before for a Saturday night. The menu is beautifully simple, making it excellent for families. There is a very good selection for vegetarians, and it is equally great for kids (the fries were a huge hit!). The atmosphere was perfect for a celebration. Even with a large group, it wasn't overly noisy, making it very easy to hold a conversation. The vibe is versatile enough that it would be just as great for a big gathering as it would be for a cozy date night. The only minor downside is that parking can be quite tough in the area, so I'd recommend giving yourself a little extra time to find a spot. Overall, highly recommend Troya for group events!

Overall, a great vibe if you're looking for a seamless dinner with a crowd. Definitely worth a visit.

The portions are big, and there is a huge variety of sides and spices to pair with your dishes. The service was 3/5. Unfortunately, not a single employee had a smile on their face, and it didn't feel very welcoming. It also took a while for our food to arrive, but the restaurant was pretty full, so that was understandable. Beit Rima feels cozy and warm. The staff were super attentive, friendly, and helpful. They were willing to accommodate the fact that we were in a bit of a rush and met our requests quickly and efficiently. The interior was curated well, bright, and airy, with views into the kitchen from across the restaurant. We started by ordering delightful, cocktails, and the trio of dips, which were very tasty. When we asked for extra pita bread on the side, the waiter provided us their wood fired flower bread on the house, which proved to be a highlight of the meal. The soft interior of the bread contrasted excellently with the crunchier exterior. I won't forget that bread anytime soon. The dips themselves were excellent, though the muhammara was a stand out. The crispy shrimp appetizer was great, providing an uncomplicated but fun bite which allowed the soft shrimp to work well with the crunchy exterior and sweet sauce. The shish kebab was praised by the birthday girl for its seasoning and consistency. For the main entree, we got the bronzino, which came with sardine rice, mustard, and some delightful greens, which were another standout on the meal. While the price is high for the Bronzino entree given how much fish was served, we did feel that the quality of execution balanced out the price point. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and, believe that it's worth going out for if they are in a different neighborhood and want a delightful Turkish meal.

There was complimentary bread which was insanely good and fluffy and warm plus tahini and an onion tomato sauce I think along with radishes and olives. We are not olive ppl sadly but I tried one and it was pretty okay. The service was great and all the servers were super attentive and accommodating. The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken. I honestly felt pretty healthy overall cause I was eating hella veggies and everything tasted so fresh. The kunafa was good we got it crispy and was yummy imo but was a lil oily (I think this is normal tho). Arab food isn't really spicy but it is spiced and very herbal which I felt in the food here, I appreciate that chili sauce is provided for the spice lovers. Overall, would highly recommend. It was about $100ish for everything and they recently increased their prices but tbh the portion sizes are huge and I feel like it is so worth it we had hella leftovers. My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. This tasted like plain roasted chicken. Maybe it needs more seasoning while marinating. It wasn't dry, so that's a relief. Rice was ok and it wasn't dry or soggy. 3.5 We've been spoiled and have had better food in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Nothing stood out for any of us. Prices are a bit high for what you get.
