I had a bacon cheese burger with the fried mushroom on top. Overall it was really good but you have to be very strategic when eating the mushroom. For one is deep fried and for two it's filled with melted cheese (Munster and Cheddar Cheese) with every bite the cheese melts out so just be well prepared or bring a bib. This was my first visit to Shake Shack. My cousin is a big fan and suggested that we go there with him. I ordered the hamburger with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Clyde and I shared the Crinkle cut French fries. My hamburger was good, not great. It was tasty. I thought it was somewhat small for the price. The fries were good, and the serving size was large enough to share. The person who took our order was very nice and helpful. I told him it was my first time there and he explained all the possible toppings. He told me where to find water, ketchup, etc. They have inside and outside seating. We ate inside because of the hot, humid weather. The inside temperature was cool and comfortable. One issue was the number of little children that were there. Babies were screaming and other children were running around chasing each other. One child pushed his stroller into me. I was almost knocked over by another child. I know it's a family restaurant, but things were getting out of control. My cousin said the restaurant is usually quiet, and this was an exception. The locations I go to most are Las Vegas, mall of America in MN, and Aventurra mall. Every time I stop at this one in Boca I'm disappointed. It isn't the speed or quality of service but it's the burger itself. It is always dry and overlooked here. At the other shake shack locations I always need a lot of napkins because the burger is so juicy it drips when you pick it up or bite into it. You will not have that problem here. Bone dry all 5 times I've stopped here. I like shake shack burgers because of the ground beef they use and also the bun. This is one of those moments when I wish half stars were an option. This doesn't feel as bad as a three star place but four would be more generous than I can offer at this time. Service is inconsistent at best here, today it was "fine" and that's all I can say. I specifically asked for a half and half with the seasonal lemonade, which was not produced when I went to collect my order. The gal was more than fine about remaking it but, I don't know... this has happened before and I feel like the people at the register aren't always the most detail oriented. My last visit was worse by far, food seemed to take forever when it wasn't terribly busy, my shake was produced all sticky from ice cream mix on the side of the cup. I commented on this to the guy giving it to me - after, mind you, they forgot it with the rest of my order, I had to ask for the shake because he didn't check to see I had anything more than a burger and fries - and he just looked at me vacantly. I went and cleaned it up myself but, again, for the cost of the food and the claims to being such a great place for a fast casual meal can you please provide to your customers food in containers that aren't sticky right out of the gate? I've finally tried Shake Shack! I've been to NYC before, passed by Madison Square and Grand Central Terminal multiple times, but never got the chance to try Shake Shack until I came back to South Florida. On my first visit, I tried the Chick'n Shack, 'Shroom Burger, and Crinkle Cut Fries. In all, pretty pricey to say the least. The Chick'n Shack was disappointing, and there is a reason why Chick-Fil-A is the king of Chicken Sandwiches because I much rather prefer Chick-Fil-A's chicken sandwich over Shake Shack's any day. Although it didn't taste to overly greasy like Chick-Fil-A's. So the Chick'n Shack gets two stars for me. What gives this review four stars is that the "Shroom Burger made up for the mediocre Chick'n Shack. The portobello burger was lightly battered to a crisp with an explosion of cheddar cheese inside. (Be careful, a few bites and the cheese was all over my fingers!) Also, the crinkle fries were delicious and perfect- slightly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. read more

Ass Burger's? Who cares your fat ass is still going to eat what ever gets put in front of you. At this point I think these types of burger chains come down to the ambiance, so this one is a minimal post-modern american dinner. Biting into this one is nothing special, nothing glorious or life changing. Nothing bad about it, I will admit the time it took to make was kind of long but that could be a variable of simply my personal experience. We ate here when it first opened and my desire to return has officially be concluded. We arrived with no line last night at 6 p.m. Order for three people took 15 minutes + to get an eat in order. This is not acceptable for fast food before class. My husband ordered chicken nuggets which appeared to be cooked in very old oil since the color was dark brown. We ordered 1 double hamburger, 1 shake 1 order of fries 1 chicken sandwich 1 soda . $31 First, the hamburger was overcooked staff did not ask for preference, 2.) fries I was warned by my son were bowling alley quality and yes he was right. Crinkle fries right out of a frozen bag. 3. Our chicken sandwich was about 3 oz of meat covered with a skin cooked in the same old oil and was very dark. Due to lack of time we ate the meal which also included room temp fries with zero flavor. 4. My husband like the shake but the new straw gave in before the end of the drink. So to summarize I was so underwhelmed that I decided this Shake Shack needs to be shaken up. Can the near empty room at dinner indicate a slowdown in desire for a poorly presented meal. No sauteed onions is a negative. The fries were lousy, cold and lousy lousy. I hope that someone from corporate hears my plea. Up your game. As a senior I can take my $10 to burger fi, PDQ for chicken freshly cooked or Tucker Dukes for a gourmet burger in the same price range. You have competition . This is the double shack burger with chili cheese fries. The burger itself was good, but it was greasy. Every burger that they have there are around the $10 range not including the fries. The burger seem small to me and I felt hungry afterwards. The chili cheese fries however were so delicious. You order first, and than they call you up to pick up your food. One thing that stand out to me is that they have a purified water fountain for FREE. I appreciate that they don't serve tap water to their customers. Shake shack is a great place to grab a good solid flavorful burger. Place is very consistent with the food. Prices are high however I think they are worth it. The milk shakes are excellent haven't had a bad one yet. Staff is friendly typical fast food way of ordering and getting your food however they give you a pager. Cheese sauce for the fry's is great and so are the frys. All around good food and good service and a hip fun atmosphere. Shake shack is a hit for me. read more

Felt very rushed by the cashier , I wasn't aware the menu was only outside so I grabbed a physical menu inside . No one was behind us but the guy behind the counter seemed frustrated. I ordered the smoke shack with bacon cheese fries and my friend got the chick'n shack. My burger was pretty good, nothing overly impressive but didn't disappoint. The herbed mayo was a nice addition. My friend really enjoyed the chicken. The bacon cheese fries are seriously underwhelming, I'm not sure how fries with bacon and cheese could be boring but I didn't feel it was worth the calories that's for sure. They are relatively over priced for what your getting. I got 2 sandwiches , a small soda and bacon cheese fries for $25 bucks. I could've went to an actual waiter service style restaurant and paid the same for more. Swing and a miss, but I'm sure it's a good option for the college across the street. If I was in the area I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here but at least it's a quick option. If the service wasn't so fast I'd of given this place 2 stars. I had been wanting to try Shake Shack for a while now. I remember when one of my really good friends went to NY just after we graduated from college, she told me all about this burger place where the line went around the block. She told me the burger was amazing. Cut to 7 years later... Sam and I finally made our way up to Boca to try them out. I decided on the Smoke Stack and a regular fry. Sam also got the smoke stack, but got cheese fries instead. Our total was $28, which I thought was high, but also expected because I had heard they were expensive. We waited quite some time for our food to come out, but when it did, it looked picture perfect and delicious. My first bite was good, but it seemed like it was missing something (the smoke stack is a cheeseburger with bacon, shack sauce and red peppers). I added ketchup, mayo and mustard hoping that this would do the trick. The condiments made the burger better, but not amazing. I also wasn't feeling the fries. Crinkle cut fries are at the bottom of the fry chain for me. Nothing special about them. Overall it wasn't a bad meal, just nothing to write home about, and definitely nothing to wait in a long line for. I should add that I tried Sam's cheese fries, and they were great. The cheese sauce is amazing. Also, the shack sauce is pretty tasty too. read more

Waited about 8min people ordered after me got food and left. Brought it to the managers attention, said its coming right up and offered me a drink or a shake as I waited. I declined but appreciated the offer. The burger was average and the fries were undercooked to the taste and to the sight. No clue why you would undercook fries just to push out orders. We are from the West Coast of Florida and we're in town for the day and decided to stop here. The food was great but what really stood out was the service. Everyone was polite and helpful. The cashier, Jade, was really sweet and patient as we made our order (first-timers) and the manager, I'm so sorry that I didn't get her name to mention specifically because she was awesome, came out and was cleaning tables and the floor and asking customers how they were doing. To see a manger out cleaning floors shows that she really cares and would do anything she asked her team members to do. That's the best type of manager you can ask for. I don't understand why some reviews are horrible! I've been to this location 3 times and it's always delicious! It's a juicy burger, what more can you ask for? Out of all the burgers I've had I believe this one is this best. It is a bit greasy/juicy, but it's a burger come on!! it's part of the package. My favorite is the chicken sandwich. This chicken sandwich is incredibly crispy I can't even explain it. I LOVE it. It is fried to perfection. The staff is super nice and the tables are always kept clean. Stumbled across this little gem while visiting Boca Raton recently. The Shake Shack is sort of a shack, but more of an industrial shack. The steel and wood elements highlight the upbeat and grungy appeal of this burger joint. Ambiance- first off, the seating is modern with wooden tables and booths adjacent to the counter and the open kitchen plan. It was our observation that the restaurant was a bit too loud because of the clamoring in the kitchen. We shifted to the adequate outdoor seating which included massive picnic tables that I would surmise seated 10 average people. Food- First off, they have a GF bun however, the facility is not considered gluten free. This is a bit concerning since some are more sensitive than others to the pesky glossing protein. I ordered Smoke Stack (double) and it came out all the way. This included a Tangy red relish, perfectly cooked bacon and a spicy mayo sauce. The burgers are like the Butter burgers and Culver's, which means they are thin and cooked crispy. The burgers were adequately covered in toppings including a gooey American cheese accompaniment. I give the burger a solid 4 stars. It was not too much meat, and it had a lot of flavor especially due to the complex flavor of the add-ons. The wife ordered the Shack Burger and was very pleased. The burger was cooked to perfection and the flavors melded together well. She gave the food a 4.5 stars. One child ordered the Chicago style hot dog and she was very happy with it. She actually ate it pretty fast, which tells me that she really enjoyed it. We also had the grilled chicken sandwich at our table and it received a rating of a 3. The grilled chicken seemed moist but it was a bit dry. It did have a lot of flavor for a grilled chicken sandwich, it just needed a bit more juice. A couple of key points. The fries are not gluten free and are cooked in a shared fryer, along with fried chicken. We are a few and the wife definitely got glutened. Another key point is the lack of kids menu. The prices are reasonable but without a kids menu you miss out on the free kids drink. Not a biggie, but worth mentioning. Another notable mention is the beer and wine menu. They seem to have a few good beers on tap and in bottle. This isn't a Budweiser beer type of place, so be ready for a pils or something like a micro brew. Overall, the food was really good. The restaurant was loud and the service was...adequate. We rate it a solid 4 star for this type of establishment, a casual- fast food burger joint. My daughter wanted to go to Shake Shack tonight. We remember enjoying the Shake Shack restaurant in Pennsylvania... this location was no where near as good. The food was honestly just terrible. My kids, who love hamburgers, said it was gross. I had a single cheeseburger... could only stomach maybe half. Because it was barf-worthy. Very disappointing. So many much better burger joints in Boca. I will definitely not be going back. The only positive I can say about the place is that the restaurant was clean and has a nice look to it. Cheeseburger - probably the worst burger I've ever tasted and I'm a burger addict. It was a tasteless mushy ball of a burger. Bland gray beef patty with no flavor. Soft wet lettuce, a tomato slice, and cheese. Some "sauce" and all in a soft chewy doughy potato bun. It was just all wet, mushy, and totally gross. ... it needed some flavor really bad, or some crunch! Some fresh lettuce, pickles, onions could have helped the situation. Yuck. It was nasty. Adding ketchup and mustard didn't help it at all. Fries - crinkle cut, ..eh they were just ok. Totally forgettable. McDonalds fries taste way better, that's for sure.
