Very disappointed when we walked into the restaurant on Monday evening. Three guys were hanging out in the kitchen and watching their phone and one had no mask on whatsoever. Just a good burger place if that is what your in the mood for. I can very easily see this place being in competition with Five Guys, though in no way do I find it better than Five Guys. My family and I went there during the day to try it out. I've heard that in NY and other places the line is usually out the door, but the one in Boca we went right to the front of the line, no wait at all. We had to wait a bit for an inside table, but the table was cool because it said that it was made out of wood that was used in an actually bowling lane. For food, we all got hamburgers, cheese fries and milkshakes, which everyone enjoyed, but we all agreed the food was greasy and heavy (not that that's a bad thing). I got a Double Shack Cheeseburger with Bacon, which was very good, on par with Five Guys. The cheese fries were good, not amazing, but good enough to enjoy the hot fries and gooey melty cheese. I also got some sort of Peanut Butter milkshake, which was nice sweet treat to cut the heaviness of the other food. I didn't pay, but I believe the price was just okay, nothing too cheap here. Shake Shack is a good place to come in you're in the mood for burgers and fries. It is tasty, but doesn't blow me away to make me crave it and want to come back. After a movie, we went for a quick bite close to the theater. This was my first time here and I don't get all the hype. The girl at the counter needs a lesson on customer service. She wasn't nice. She seemed annoyed when I asked a question about my burger. I ordered the Shake Stack which is a Cheeseburger and a 'Shroom Burger topped with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce. It was ok. It was a deep fried portabello mushroom stuffed with cheese. As you bit into it, all this hot cheese squirted out. Quite a surprise to me. My friend ordered the Shack Burger. We also shared cheese fries. Of course any thing with melted cheese is good, just a bit salty. My milkshake was ok. Steak and Shake makes better milk shakes and I think I like their burgers a lot more or maybe the customer service is also better at Steak and Shake.. Food was good but not amazing. They are very cool with people customizing their order, which I like since I'm pretty picky about my burger toppings. There is a small menu, don't expect a million choices, although they do offer a vegetarian option. Can't say I've tried it, I like to give my canines a work out ya know! I love a nice location, nice music, and most and foremost a nice meal. Their hamburgers are very good, cooked to your taste, a bit small for my taste (I wish they were a little bigger!), but still good. They have their own shack sauce that you can add to it, and I usually have it on the side so I can truly taste the meat with the right amount of sauce just to enhance and not hide its taste. Their fries are my favorite. They are crunchy on the outside and soft inside and have a curly/crinkle cut. It is not a cheap meal considering the size of the hamburger, but nothing out of this world either. I'm not a big shake fan so I usually sip the shake from my friends just to try it, so I'll leave this review for the experts. Since I'm not a burger person I was so glad to see the array of hotdogs. I ordered the chicken and apple hotdog, super yummy, and then I lathered it with ketchup. There are more complex hotdogs on the menu, so if you are one for toppings and craziness, they have something for you too. Fries are very yummy too, but there are no "meal deals". So you'll have to order them separately. The main player here though, has to be the frozen custard. They have a list of mix-ins which enables you to tailor your own desert. They have concretes, which is a list of yummy prelisted selections, then there are shakes. They also have shake of the day, which is always some creative mixture. I am definitely a fan of this place. We have driven by several times and the line has been really long. This time I prepared for it. We made reservations at PJ Changs just incase Shake Shack would be full. Our luck there was no line so we parked and ran in. It was our first time here and we weren't sure what to order etc. They have menu's up front and the employees are very helpful. I ordered the single ShackBurger. This is a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and shack sauce. I added bacon. It was delicious. The burgers are a bit small but this filled me up. I got a side order of cheese fries. It's been so long since I have had those. I also order a strawberry milk shake. It was the best combination. My boyfriend ordered the ShackBurger as well but he had the double. He also got the Shack-cago Dog. This comes with shack relish, onion, cucumber, pickle, tomato, sport pepper, celery salt and mustard. It was a weird combination but I have to say the hotdog was delicious. He chose the Black and White milk shake. He said it was his favorite shake ever! The place itself is small. There is limited inside seating. We sat at the hightop table with other people. There is picnic style tables outside. You might have to wait awhile to find seating but definitely worth it. Just have patience people. The staff is very attentive. They offer to throw away and clean your table. They answer any questions that you may have regarding the menu. It's a bit overpriced but when compared to BurgerFi, SmashBurger and Five Guys - this is my go to choice. All I need is a basic cheeseburger and cheese fries and I'm all set. Don't try to hit this place up on a weekday afternoon. The lunch rush is insane so its not the place to go if you're in a hurry. The crowds have definitely gotten smaller since they first opened and they recently changed the french fries to a more natural fresh cut style with some of the potato skin still on. I think they are very good and about equal to Five Guys. Of course they are very different from the previous crinkle fries they used to serve. Tried to find kids size options but could only order a plain cheeseburger, when we got it the beef was slightly raw inside which is okay for an adult but worried if its an issue for kids. Burger sizes are smaller than i expected. The top of my bun looked slightly bigger than slider size. A hungry man will need two burgers for sure. Kind of wish the buns were slightly toasted as everything had too soft of a texture. Shakes were very bland and milky. My fiance had the strawberry and wished there were some strawberry chunks in it. I had the black and white and i really could have done without it. The cashier said it was vanilla and fudge, which made me expect ribbons of gooey fudgyness instead of the half frozen yoohoo that i recieved. The cheese sauce on the fries was great! My daughter and I came here for dinner after exercising at nearby Pondhawk Natural Area. Shake Shack is one of those more upscale burger places. If you have ever eaten at a BurgerFi then you know the type. They serve alcohol, concrete custards for deserts, shakes, fries, burgers, a vegetarian offering for a burger (mushroom), and hot dogs. What differentiates this place from BurgerFi slightly is they have a dog menu. Other than that they are pretty interchangeable in my mind. This location has some limited indoor seating and a nice covered outdoor patio that was perfect for the beautiful weather we were experiencing on the night I visited. For $20 my daughter and I got two single Shake Shack burgers with cheese, we split an order of fries, and we split a large raspberry ginger lemonade. The burgers were average, the fries reminded me of the frozen crinkle cut ones you get in bag in the supermarket, and the lemonade was refreshing. This isn't a place I would go out of my way to go to but it was in the area and it was fine for dinner. The cry and fries at BurgerFi tip me in their favor. read more

Looked for a spot around this area and found this location that I've never been too. As we arrived I noticed this shake shack is bigger than the others I've been to. As soon as you walk in from the outside there's a menu on the wall before you actually order. I got a smokeshack burger and my friend ordered a chick'n shack burger. As well as some fries :) This location has plenty of seating inside and outside of it. We decided to sit outside since the weather was nice, picnic style wood tables are all outside. A very homey feel to it. As for the burgers, they're a little overpriced but very quality meat and chicken. My friend and I both tried each other's burgers and agreed that both were awesome. We both agreed that the burgers are average, nothing special. The cheese fries are good, but honestly I've had better. For the two burgers, cheese fry, and two beers we ended up spending $28. Not too bad, but in all honesty I think it's worth paying $10 extra to go Burgerfi. I've now given Shake Shack three opportunities to wow me and they've come up a tad short every time. Came here after a morning of go carts with my babies for a quick bite to eat. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it was listed as "fast food" but pretty pricey! That being said... It was really delish!! The kids and I got cheese burgers (one with bacon) and one chicken sandwich with herb mayo. The burgers were cooked perfectly with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Seating layout is kind of strange you'll have to share a table with someone. Also half the seating is outside - not gonna work in Florida summer. But because of the location just by FAU campus. Will probably be successful. Wanted to love it, and this is just above 5-Guys. I don't eat red meat; however, they did have two other options: mushroom based sandwich (the veggie burger) and a chicken sandwich. I got the chicken sandwich and it was pretty good! The chicken is fried and it comes with mayo lettuce pickles and shake shack sauce I believe. I also got fries which are very good but, it's a small portion. The restaurant is pretty small but they have a lot of tables outside. The outside is covered so, if it's raining, you'll be ok. There's no drink fountain for you to fill your cup so I'm guessing it's not free refills. They do have a water one though, therefore you can fill your water as much as you like. The employees are very nice and helpful. There's no survers because it's not that kind of restaurant (it's an order first at the front, wait for your buzzer to buzz, and pick it up at the front type of restaurant) however, the employees still walked around and checked up on us and made sure everyone was happy. Parking isn't bad. There's a huge lot to the side of it, I can't imagine all of their spots getting full. The food is quick, so it's great if you want to get in and out! I didn't have a shake but they looked amazing. *** the food is pretty expensive. It does not come with fries and a drink, that's extra. My meal with a chicken sandwich and fries was about $11. The bun is super buttery and soft. The burger is perfectly cooked. Lettuce is fresh, as is tomato. Not super greasy. They have crinkly fries. Which I love. And you have to get a shake. The have their plain ones. And then they have shakes of the day. Today was pear caramel. Pear Caramel!!! It was soooooo good. They have custards of the day too. Been going to shake shack every since I fell in love with it in NYC! Went this weekend and they had corndogs for the holiday weekend. They were good but the most amazing thing is their mushroom and meat burger! Omg mind blowing! Their cheese fries are off the wall. I haven't had anything bad here. Every time I go to NY I have to eat shake shack, BUT I've noticed that every time I decide to eat it here in Florida, it just doesn't taste the same... something's lacking. Anyway, I wanted to try the chick'n shack since a lot of my friends have tried it and liked it... I was so so so so so disappointed... My favorite part of this sandwich was the pickles and that's a sad thing to say. Soft bun, lightly breaded chicken breast, lettuce, pickles, and a herb mayo... Sounds good but was all bark no bite. To be honest, although the chicken was cooked 100%, the texture of the chicken felt raw/undercooked... I don't know if that makes sense but I don't know how else to describe it. Unlike chick-fil-a which has a juicy soft chicken breast, this chicken breast felt oddly chewy and just really threw me off. I also ordered their cheese fries and was also disappointed. I've had these before but this time the cheese just tasted less cheesy and more mustard-y. Shake Shack is a fancy take out - just like Five Guys, etc., where you go up to a counter, order a burger, fries and a shake, and then find a table to eat. There are about 15 tables indoors, and about the same under a covered patio outdoors (mixed with picnic tables you share). Given this is across from FAU and in a super busy area in Boca on Glades, there is a long line. The food is very good, but not cheap. There are about five burgers to choose from, a couple hot dogs, shakes and fries are extra. I didn't see any combo meals so everything is a la carte...cha ching. They also serve beer and wine. We had two single burgers (not doubles), shared a side of fries, an iced tea and one shake for $24. The food was very good, but the burgers were not large. I would go again if passing by or in the mood, but in the burger world, Shake Shack is not a big stand out. read more
