Was debating what to get to satisfy my sweet tooth and decided to come to Shake Shack and get a shake. I saw that they had a cookies and cream flavor which is a vanilla base with cookie pieces. I don't like vanilla so I asked the lady at the register if they could make it with a chocolate base instead. She went to ring it up and it came out to be more expensive cause there wasn't way to ring it up without it costing more. Told her I would just get a regular chocolate shake so she rang that up. I got my shake, took all my pictures and stuff and then I took a sip. So happy cause to my surprise, there were cookie pieces in it! She 100% went back to the person making it and told them to add the pieces. This made me so extremely happy cause it was what I wanted and I appreciate her doing this SO MUCH!! Took about 15 mins to get 2 sandwiches & 2 sides, so a lot slower than potbelly / chipotle type places. Chicken Shack was decent since I added extra toppings. For $8 I think 2 fast food chicken sandwiches would be preferred over this one. Also ordered a milkshake separately & after five minutes I went up to check in. They said they hadn't called my name. So a few minutes later, I went up again and then they found it on the to go shelf. Strawberry shake at Shake Shack should be a slam dunk right? This strawberry shake was like a strawberry milk. Very little strawberry flavor, chunks of unblended ice cream and the runniest shake I've ever had. I've had the burgers a few times and they were above average but this shake was terrible. My wife had the s'more shake and it looked good but was also runny like a blended drink at Starbucks not an actual shake. Also there was no whipped cream on my shake for some reason even as the s'more shake we ordered had all the whipped cream and candy bits on top. Shake Shack was one of the few places open downtown on the holiday, so we stopped in for lunch. Orders are placed on kiosks, which I appreciate. I've got a new favorite! This place is called Shaje Shack, but they've got the best Hot Dogs I've ever had in my life! And the French Fries... absolutely perfect! Who doesn't love getting Shake Shack every once in a while, and when you stumble upon it when you least expect it, it gets even better. We arrived after a night of drinking, and right when it opened at 11am. We were the first customers of the day. It was within walking distance of our hotel too, so bonus! I ordered the Shack Burger without cheese and on a gluten free bun, with crinkle cut fries. My boyfriend had the same. The lady who took our order was ridiculously friendly and that day I was wearing a shirt about rescuing, adopting, and fostering dogs. She then told us about adopting her pit bull during the pandemic and I wanted her to be my friend instantly. The way to my heart is adopting a pit bull. She also wished us a good day when we were leaving and I wanted so bad to ask her if I could see a picture of her dog, but knew it probably wasn't appropriate, as she was on the job. I've got a love hate relationship with Shake Shack. First time we ever had it was in Manhattan and we were smitten and fell in love. Nevertheless since they've expanded and moved into OHIO it a hit or miss based upon which location you go to and who's making it which makes you hate it sometimes. All places when they expand it seems like the quality and care goes to the dogs. During this occasion we had an event we were attending and were slightly pressed for time so we ordered ahead online. Anytime I've done this in the past other places could give a gahdamn about making the food good as they just want your money and to get you out of their face so my hopes weren't high. The food we got blew me out of the water. I got their featured smokehouse or smokestack double whatever it was called and it was fabulous. The bacon cheddar fries had an insane amount of cheddar, and bacon. The nuggets and shack sauce were solid as usual no matter which location you go to. How hard is it to screw up nuggets? Can't say much about customer service as I didn't deal with them and didn't get a drink either as I was in a large group that was gracious to pay for my meal. Bathrooms were clean but I think it was a little corny to have codes to get inside but it's understandable as they don't want a bunch of people frequenting their restrooms and having to clean up after them if they didn't patronize their establishment. read more

This is Shake Shack. I'm not sure what else there is to say about it! From the burger diapers for their amazingly juicy and fresh burgers, to their crunchy-outside-soft-inside fries, there's no bad experience that you can have at Shake Shack. Their menu is large and has lots of variety. They have their mushroom burger for vegetarians to enjoy--and honestly this burger is probably my favourite one! I love to get the Shack Stack, their classic cheeseburger and mushroom burger combined into one. The mushroom is crispy and fried, and is stuffed with a special white (I don't know what kind) cheese that is unique and different than the "common" cheeses. The cheeseburger paired with this is just the cherry on top and the perfect compliment. The buns are always extremely soft and toasted to perfection. Oh you juicy patties of meat sandwiched (quite literally) between some of the tastiest buns I've ever had! They are lightly toasted, soft and chewy, and perfectly complement the gooey cheese overflowing the edges. Add that shake sauce my friends, because really what is a burger at Shake Shack without it? I recommend that you use the app to order your meal rather than ordering inside. On a weeknight about 5 PM, I used the app and was able to walk in, grab my food, and head out. Being a somewhat skeptical, I've always been slow to buy into hype. I'm five years away from thinking about checking out Game of Thrones...if it becomes available on VHS. With that said, I am now a converted Shake Shack disciple. The Shake Shack burger was possibly the tastiest major chain burger I've ever come across. Key word being major chain, but still a categorical five stars all day long. The patty comes perfectly seared from a flattop. When you can see the charred edges just starting to flake, there's no doubt. Then there's the cheese, they're almost cheating with how melty they're getting it. At some point it gets hard to track all the flavors, but the Shake sauce seems to also lend strong support. Throw in some fresh produce and contain with a high quality bun and this thing is heaven sent. The burger does appear to be a little on the smaller side, but combined with fries, I didn't leave hungry. How about the crinkle cut fries? Definitely an old school move, but fried to a perfect golden crisp and they're absolutely delicious. I'd heard enough hype to know to order the side of cheese sauce. In my opinion, the melted cheese falls short of what you'd find at Fuddruckers, but then again it's melted cheese for fries so hard to complain. I also partook in a side of chicken bites as they were being heavily advertised. While I might not come here specifically for the chicken bites, they were solid. I'm so thrilled I was able to attend Shake Shack's pre-opening event yesterday. This event was from 11AM to 8PM and closed to the public. You had to RSVP beforehand to attend. Attendees were able to get a complimentary burger/hot dog/chicken sandwich, fries and a drink of their choice! Needless to say I was in heaven, and received more food than I expected to. I got a strawberry mint lemonade which was quite refreshing for the hot day. The fries were delicious, and the melted cheese on top made it even better. The shack stack, which comes with both a beef patty and mushroom patty, was smaller than I expected it to be. However, the taste was great. Surprisingly, I prefer the mushroom patty over the beef patty. It had more flavor and there was cheese stuffed inside! The event went quite smooth while I was there. I thought it would be hectic and crowded but I was wrong. My food was out in under ten minutes, although my friend had to wait longer than I did. Workers were extremely nice and checked up on us. There was also a table where you could give donations to the Cleveland Animal Protective League, a shelter that I strongly support. All in all, I'm extremely excited to have Shake Shack downtown and hope that it continues to provide the high quality food and service that I experienced! read more

My first visit to Shake Shack was an okay 3 stars. I arrived with some friends on a Sunday evening before a show at Playhouse and from the experience I had I just didn't understand the hype. The guy at the register was pleasant enough, but that's it. I had ordered a side of cheese fries with no salt and a fried chicken sandwich. I was called to the counter for my sandwich and was told it would still be a couple more minutes for the fries. Why would you give me half of my order? Why didn't you cook the items so that they would be fresh and ready at the same time? I'd rather wait for the whole order than get parts of it and eat things separately. Annoying, but not a big deal. The bigger offender was the lady at the counter who seemed like she was done with the world and wanted to go home. Not personable at all. So I'm almost finished with my sandwich when the counter lady finally brings over my fries, but they don't have cheese on them. So she huffs and goes back to put cheese on them. Again, not friendly and no little apology for their error. This has got me thinking that my fries took so long because kitchen didn't pay attention to the order and made me salty fries, had to fix it, but didn't pay attention a second time/didn't care and forgot the cheese and had to fix it again. It's fine if a mistake is made, but be friendly/apologetic about it, not act like I am inconveniencing you by having you do your job on a slow Sunday night. As for the food, the fried chicken sandwich was okay. Nothing to write home about. The fries were good though with a crispy outside and soft inside. I liked the little wooden poker thing they give you to snatch up a cheese fry without getting your fingers messy. Portion size is big enough to share. My friends got a hamburger, cheeseburger, regular fries, and a root beer float. They originally were saying how Shake Shack has some of the best burgers, but this night they left saying it wasn't as great as they remembered. All in all, nothing bad about the food, but I think the competence and attitude of the staff affects your experience a lot. ***After this visit I went to a Yelp event at Shake Shack and it was a much better experience that I really enjoyed (maybe because management was there so staff was on top of their game?). Downtown isn't lacking options for food. However, along the Euclid and E9 stretch, shake shack adds a nice update. Next to potbelly and across from the arcade, this location was right on time for burgers and fries. I went on the first day, so of course the service was Supreme. Everyone was smiling and happy. There was even a helpful manager going through the line asking if anyone has questions about the menu or needed help at all. I'll also say that there were ample employees preparing the food. Not sure if that will be the normal Staffing, but it sure was nice to see that they anticipated just what the lunch time rush in downtown could look like. My burger was quality. Toasted bun, fresh toppings, cooked just right. My only gripe was the sauce. It's a mayo blend that just didn't work for me. I'd suggest getting it on the side if you're a first timer.
