Loved the GF version of the SmokeShack burger so much I went up and ordered another one!

I'd like to start by saying I have been to Shake Shack at three other locations; MOA, Kansas City, and Miami Beach. I love Shake Shack...except here. The first time, they got my order wrong and tried to serve me burnt fries, and the manager was kind and went over the top with coupons and apologies. Yesterday I was again visiting this location, ordered only a shack burger. It tasted like someone had doused the bun in bleach. Not only that, but one of the employees proceeded to sexually harass me by first telling me that my outfit was nice (that's fine), then made a sound like "Mm mmmm" and walked away. I was exiting the restaurant and he asked if I was single. I didn't reply and kept walking. As I was opening my car, he came outside and stood right in front of my car and started smoking what looked to be a thin cigar and stared me down as I was leaving. The food here is great, however it appears there's a staffing or management problem. Only one employee working the counter with a line out the door, employees taking breaks in high-visibility/traffic areas, and not allowing customers the courtesy to be first at the condiment bar. All this is happening and there's dirty tables/ floor areas. Where's the MOD????? read more

I've gone to this location three times over the past month at "off" times and each time the wait time has been 30 minutes or more. If you are going to open a new restaurant, at least staff it so you can get your food in a timely manner. After all, isn't this supposed to be "fast food?" read more

Horribly SLOW service. Not enough employees taking orders. Then, we were told it would be a minimum of 15 minutes to get our food.

Better than MN nice - ambiance is great. Someone I know doesn't like this placed based on the rating, but we loved it.

My boyfriend and I ended up at Shake Shack for dinner on a Saturday evening (around 7pm) because our first choice had like a two hour wait. I had heard good things from co-workers, so I thought we'd give it a try! The building is cool, I bet it will be a great patio in the Summer! It is an order and seat yourself with a buzzer type place. The line was a little long, and there was only 1 register, so that didn't help.. but hey, it is Saturday night. The biggest problem is the waiting area... there is none. There were no tables available, so as we waited for our food, we had to stand and always felt in the way or breathing over someone's table. They need a larger waiting area or add additional tables! We waited a bit longer than I would have liked (15-20 minutes) for two burgers and fries. We both got the double bacon chesseburger. The burgers were on the smaller side, but they did taste good and the sauce on them was delish! I would go back for that. The fries were thicker crinkle fries - not my fave! I wouldn't order those again. All-in-all, it was similar to a Five Guys or Smashburger. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, but it wasn't terrible. read more

First of the service was fine. Cheeseburger was good, not for the price. Cheese fries were no big deal. And the milkshake...I got a chocolate milkshake and I can say this is the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I HAVE NOT FINISHED A MILKSHAKE. It was terrible how do you screw up a milkshake that bad!! read more

Terrible service. Multiple items in our order were incorrect. Bathroom was filthy. A workers apron and latex gloves were laying on floor in the stall. Great ice-cream but a thumbs down environment. read more

After hearing about Shake Shack for years, I had to try the location in Edina outside of Southdale. I had the Shake Burger, single patty, & small root beer. My husband had the 'shoom burger, small shake and we split a small fry. Total - $25.00+. My burger was over cooked, small slice of tomato (looked like a slice from a roma tomato), husband's 'shroom burger was greasy and the fry's tasted like frozen crinkle fries. Not impressed. If I want burger and fries I prefer Five Guys or Smash Burger. read more

$15 for an OK but smallish burger, fries similar to frozen Ore Ida, and a small shake. Throw in a 20 minute wait on a not very busy night and that's it: I won't be back. read more

Don't waste your money or your time. Whatever made this place so popular in NYC didn't make it into the business plan when they decided to bring it to the twin cities. Over priced and very disappointing. $30 for 3 burgers the size of sliders. Wtf out of here. Nothing about these burgers set them apart from their competitors. I went to Shake Shack for the first time today and it was absolutely delicious! I got a cookies and cream malt and the regular fries and both were great. Very busy but good service and we got our food right away. Just barely beat the line! I would highly recommend this Shack Shake chain to any of those custard lovers out there! read more

Much too expensive for what you get. If you plan to try this new location, I'd definitely recommend waiting until their efficiency is better established. Wait to order and wait for food was ridiculous, and this was a Sunday evening, I'd hate to see it on a Friday or Saturday evening or a weekday lunch rush. Food was decent, but my shake was completely liquid by the time I got my food. Not going back anytime soon. read more

This was so bad. I cannot begin to explain how awful the customer service was. The lady working at the register was so rude and judgmental. She made me stand in front of her for a minute waiting to receive my SINGLE shake. One. Shake. And then she proceeded to half-effortly nudge the buzzer basket towards me for myself to put back. Absolutely no effort. I couldn't give this place 0 stars so I'm stuck with 1. If you're looking for good burgers, fries, and even malts, take the extra mile and go to Snuffy's. I don't even work there and I know that it's a better restaurant. Get better shake shack. read more

This is the WORST location I have ever been too. I have visited this location twice now and both times have been AWFUL. The first time I visited my food was served not only cold but UNDERCOOKED. Now I consider myself kind of a burger "expert." I love medium rare, well done, rare... I've eaten it all! But this was straight RAW. I brought it back to the front and they replaced it and gave me free fries. Fine. I figured I would give them a second chance. My second visit didn't go so well, in fact, it didn't go at all. The second I walked in the doors a women at the registers yelled out "20-30 minute wait." I looked around and the restaurant was MAYBE 1/3 full. I thought maybe she wasn't talking to me. She yelled even louder 20-30 MINUTE WAIT JUST SO YA KNOW! People were walking out left and right. I can say for certain this location needs a total staff renovation... and it's only been open for like a month. Lazy, rude, loud and extremely unprofessional. STEER CLEAR and drive a few minutes further to the Mall Of America location. However be warned, they also serve cold food at times. read more

Shake your way on down to the shake shack. The burgers closely resemble the beef used by Culver's. The fries are mediocre and they seemed to be out of all their season shakes unfortunately. It seems like the middle of a day on a Friday they should not have been out of so many items on the menu especially for a chain. Overall it was good and reasonably quick would do it again but wouldn't make it a habit. read more

I had a Smoke Shack Burger and it was delicious! The root beer was also great. My French fries were nothing special. I did think it was a bit expensive--about half again as much as Culver's for the same quality. I didn't understand or like their process for using buzzers and then yelling names. One or the other would be sufficient. I must admit I personally don't like standing around waiting and then carrying my food to the table. I prefer Culver's process of handing out numbers and fast delivery to the table. Whoever laid the sod in the parking area needs to give a refund. Minnesota grows the most beautiful and healthy sod--I chuckled thinking "Green Side Up"!!! read more

Let me start by saying that the burgers are good. They would be perfect if they didn't put so much damn salt on them. I mean, did you dip them in the goddam ocean or something? But anyways, that was the best part of the experience. The design looks very sleek and modern, but when actually sitting down at a booth, I found that the benches were very uncomfortable, and the tables were so thin that my knees were practically touching those of my friend's across from me. But don't worry, the tables are thin because the are made from "reclaimed bowling alleys in New York". Weird flex, but okay? Finally, for a place called Shake Shack, you'd think that the shakes would be good. They are not, at least the chocolate malt that I had was not. Overall, the experience was overrated. read more

This is a horrible location. Very poor customer service. Unprofessional young people working there. They are to busy visiting with each other and dont take care of the customers. Tables are dirty. Food is served cold, fried taste like they have been sitting there all day. Dont get me wrong the burgers are great but not at this location. Sad to see this location hasn't been open long and they already have poor staff. They need to get new employees that take the job more seriously than just visiting talking with vulgar language back by the cooking area, the customers can hear it all. They are to busy goofing off. I stood at the counter for 5 mins waiting to ask for a box to bring my food home. No one noticed me standing there due to not paying attention. As I stood there there was a cook stuffing her face with food. Two of them talking very loudly with vulgar language about wanting to beat a girl up. I felt like I was standing in a high school cafeteria. This could be a easy fix with a good manager and better, more mature employees. read more

for this style of burger joint, you can save yourself the time and disappointment by just going straight to culvers. same basic meat and preparation, but culvers will give you a bigger, thicker patty, better cheese, better bun, and fresh lettuce, onion and tomato. the shake shack burger was small with a soggy bun, one limp tomato slice a third the size of the patty, and a tiny, flat, wilted piece of unidentifiable lettuce. the cheese looked and felt suspiciously like cheese-whiz. the container of crinkle cut fries was small. diet coke in the machine dispensed plain water. two burgers, one side of fries and one soda was almost $19.00. we won't be back. read more

My wife and I took our kids last night for the first time, and talk about a strange experience. Keep in mind we have a 2 year old and 1 year old so life is a little busy for us to say the least. First off we ordered a mix of food to see what the kids might eat. I ordered fries, 2 burgers, and a hot dog. It was Sunday night, but we waited a solid 15+ minutes for the food to come out. I didn't look at my watch, but it was all of 15+ minutes which is a long time given the patience level of my kids. After getting the burgers one quick bite of the burgers we found both patties to be raw... I like a little red myself but these were straight raw. I brought the burgers back which the manager quickly remade the burgers, and without asking comped our meal. This is where it got strange. As I'm going back to my table with the burgers one of the employees grabbed me by the arm and said he needed to talk to me? He proceeded to tell me I had bumped into him and not apologized? Which I hadn't. Right there in the middle of the restaurant he tells me very aggressively to F&$! Off. I immediately ask for his manager which he responds "you go find her". He was very hostile. I was blown away at what had just happened I promptly told the manager who took the employee in back. All this while I have 2 impatient kids and a wife at this point wanting food. She came out to our table to apologize on his behalf, and explained he just needed to cool off? He did come back out about 5 minutes later and aggressively stare down our table. The whole interaction was bizarre, and frankly had my wife and I feeling very uncomfortable even remaining in the restaurant. It was out of left field, and very hostile. Frankly shocking. And the food... once cooked the burgers were pretty good although I'm don't think we'll be back. Too bad since we live very close and were excited about having a new fast casual option near the house. read more
