I came here on a Tuesday night with a friend for dinner. Seeing that this location just opened, my friend and I had to give it a try. Apparently, this restaurant is part of a center that will have other restaurants. Parking - There was ample parking behind the restaurant. And the best thing was that it was freeeeeeeeee! Ambiance - This is a very nice Shake Shack compared to the other Shake Shacks that I've been to! There's really cute decor with a plant wall and a very modern and sleek look. Also, there's foosball and shuffleboard tables that are laid out for people to play, which I thought was very cool! Food - I really liked the food! I ordered the Shack Burger and fries. The buns were nicely toasted and buttered and the meat was cooked very well. The fries were well seasoned and tasted great! Pro Tip: Don't order the cheese fries, just order the regular fries and ask for cheese on the side when you pick up your food. The cheese on the side is freeeeee! The only thing that I was not a fan of was the price. I ended up paying $10 for the basic burger and fries. Besides that, I had a good experience. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this Shake Shack! Shake Shack finally opened this past Sunday which of course makes it the new spot to check out in El Segundo/MB. My coworkers and I came by today to check out what the hype was about. We got there by 11:20am and the line was already out the door but it went by pretty quickly. I'd say we waited less than 10 minutes to order and then less than 10 minutes to get our food. By 12pm the line was wrapped around the building, so if you want to avoid crowds, come earlier and beat the lunch rush. All of the workers were very welcoming and also pretty attentive. They grabbed our plates/trays when we were done with our food. Really good service! I also love that this place has a lot of seating, inside and outside, lots of natural light coming in, and also features a shuffle board and a foosball table! They have TVs too but no sound. This was my first time ever at a Shake Shack and I have to say I liked what I ordered which was the single Shack burger, fries, and chocolate cookies and cream milk shake. I appreciated that they also have gluten free hamburger buns which I got based on preference and I thought it tasted good. I don't think anyone would be able to tell the difference vs their gluten free buns and reg. The cookies and cream shake was very rich and heavy! I loved the cookie crumbles it had but it set me over the top. The two guys in my group both got double meat in their burgers otherwise, they probably wouldn't have been full. Also, I'd say pass on the chili cheese fries because they weren't very generous with the chili or cheese with my coworker's order of them. I love this place! Although the price point is a little higher than In-N-Out Burger, the quality of burger is a little better. I typically get a double burger and skip the fries. Fries suck. They're pretty soggy. If you add cheese and chili, there you go! It will make you forget about the Soggy fries. They need to get onion rings. The s'mores Shake will put you in a sugar coma. It's delicious but hella sweet! It's the next best thing to In-N-Out Burgers. I guess shakeshack 5 Stars up there with the best. FYI, if you're looking for a gourmet burger this ain't the place. I told them it's my first time there because that's the truth. With my order I asked about cherry peppers because I saw them on a different burger. The past 3 times I ordered a cheeseburger with caramelized onions on DoorDash and every time they have forgotten them, even after paying the extra dollar or so that they are. I called in today to make sure it wasn't forgotten, they ensured me they would let the team know, and I received it with no caramelized onions. I know this location is pretty busy, but taking the time to read orders instead of rushed ngwould be helpful to customers who pay for extra add ons. I'm not a burger type of gal, if I eat one it better be worth the fat and calories. My hubby raves about Shake Shack and insisted I try it out with him so I finally caved in. I ordered the cheeseburger with Niman Ranch bacon and he ordered the chicken burger. We waited awhile for our order and my hubby said it normally doesn't take that long. So he checked with the front and right away Debbie, I'm assuming the manager, said she will check into it and bring our order for us. Sure enough our order was brought to us right away. She apologized and really took care of us, gave us cards for free shakes and sandwiches when we return. Talk about customer service! Wow we were so impressed. Thank you Debbie! The burger was actually really tasty, I realized I ordered the one without lettuce and tomatoes but oh well next time I know. It wasn't too greasy, bun was soft like brioche and it was the perfect amount of burger for me though I left a little behind for my hubby to eat. Fries were crispy and the lemonade was nice and sour just the way I like it. I was soooo tempted to order the frozen custard shake but saw the calorie content and passed. Both orders of Krinkle cut fries were cold, and they promptly replaced them with hot ones. I don't know why they have to sandbag fries when there is no line. Their cheese sauce they put on the fries is unusually good. Rich, cheesey, smooth like hot velvet. Tried the chicken nuggets, the batter tasted good, but the chicken in each nugget had shrunk away from the sides, so it was not adhering to the actual chicken piece, like it as pre-cooked and then battered and fried? loved the honey mustard sauce. Probably could have given them a 3, but I do like what they do, and will definitely be back. How to adequately describe Shake Shack... it's a restaurant that makes you wish you had one closer to home, but you still wouldn't mind traveling for. It is my comfort food of choice when on the road. I've described it often as a "higher tier In N Out". Same dedication to the craft, same value, but higher quality. You'll spend $10 at In N Out and be glad you did, but you'll spend $20 at Shake Shack walking away with the same feeling. The burgers are very original, the decor and theme are very modern and fun, and the shack sauce is amazing! They are the only restaurant I know that still invests in crinkle fries, but they do it right. They just need to invest in creating a house fry sauce and they'll take over the market. I had just finished one of the most amazing burgers I've ever had. It was soft, darn near melted in mouth. I could taste every single ingredient of my burger. The order taker complimented my shirt and I only had to wait about 30 seconds to order and less than 10 minutes to get my food. The soda had the perfect amount of ice and was refreshing like I expected. I had the perfect lunchtime cheatmeal. I was incredibly satisfied. Until I went to the bathroom. I was only in there to blow my nose and the stall was occupied. So I stood there and waited my turn. This person took about 3 minutes or so before he was done. As soon as he was finished I went and grabbed some tissue and blew my nose this didn't take long. I didn't even have to step into the stall. This is a beautiful location but I wasn't overly impressed with the food, especially after all of the hype that I've heard. In summary: okay burger, bad fries, small portions & expensive. I tried the SmokeShack and enjoyed the flavor of the chopped cherry pepper. The hamburger patties are thin. Buns are good and very fresh. The crinkle cut fries didn't taste any better than if I heated up frozen fries from the grocery store. That was pretty disappointing. You are clearly paying for the business model & ambiance (premium sourced ingredients, non-GMO, etc.) and not the amount of food you are getting. It was VERY expensive for what we got. If I'm going to spend that much money on a burger, I would rather go down the street to Hopdoddy at The Point where they have fresh ingredients and WAY more options for their burgers (and awesome fries!) Yay we got Shake Shack in my neighbor! I've eaten Shake Shack in Las Vegas and I visited this location for the first time. I ordered Shroom Burger and my mom ordered Shack Burger. I loved Shroom burger, it was deep fried Portabello mushroom with cheese inside, lettuce and tomatoes. Simple but good! We also ordered Cheese fries and too bad they don't have chili fries as regular menu. It was good but not great. The good folks at Shake Shack decided to give me a nice discount to encourage a return visit. I used it, and I definitely enjoyed my second trip there more than my first. I tried the Roadside Double, which is a double mushroom Swiss burger and is just a solid chunk of delicious. This time, the meat was caramelized on the edges as before, but juicier and more flavorful in the middle - just right. Also, the fries were a bit more well done and crispier, also an improvement. Service was with a smile as before, and overall I just enjoyed it more - perhaps I hit my flavor sweet spot this time. Everything tasted like quality ingredients were used. Shake Shack burger was delicious! Highly recommended! Now I know what all the fuzz is about. Way better than Habit Grill burger and the recent Costco burger I tried. It definitely tastes better than in-n-out burger. But you definitely have a higher cost, due to ingredients and extras like bacon and chilli cheese options that add so much to the flavor. Overall, I can't rate it higher than in-n-out at this time after only one sample. I need to try a couple more to be sure. But it is quite easily my 2nd favorite chain burger, behind in-n-out. Pros: Patties taste great, the burgers are good overall. The bun isn't cut all the way through, so the ingredients don't fall out when you hold the burger. The shakes are really good and the fries are very well made. Great customer service, nice environment, and it's good that they have a foosball table for customers. They have a nice salad-bar-type table where you can pick up mayonnaise, ketchup, anything you'll need. Menus are out and easy to see (like Honeyboba) so you don't have to look behind the cashier to see what you want to order. Cons: Bread is soft but a bit too soft, and kind of greasy. The cheese in the burgers taste good, blends well with the rest of the burger, but the cheese in the fries tastes weird; kind of like a fake Kraft cheese, but more flavorless. So upsetting. I get there and the guy on the register taking orders looked and acted like he literally hates his job. He was super short with his answers. "Yes, no, yes, two? Ok. $23.87. Pager rings, I get my order. Took a bite of my burger and bam! The meat is super pink. I get some people like it raw but this was a bit too much.
