today is September 14, Saturday the day that we went to shake shack with me and my dad we've been waiting for a while now and it's kind of long there were dirty tables and trash all over the floor it's kind of disgusting as I sit there staring up in the ceiling waiting for my food. It was super pricey. $64. I mean, it's not bad right it kind of is but whatever I just still wanted to eat cheese fries were super delicious and creamy texture is what made it real good I had a bacon cheeseburger. We had a great experience at this Shake Shack. It was our first time to try it, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was excellent- they are not fast food burgers, so think along the lines of Hopdoddy. I loved my bacon avocado burger (ordered as a bowl) and the husband loved the smoke shack burger. The fries were good, typical crinkle fries. I appreciated the designated water dispenser instead of having to use the soda machine for water. Very fun shake flavors, including dairy free options! We ate in the restaurant. It was nice- very clean, and was good ambience- not too loud. Restrooms were clean and well stocked with soap and paper towels. Went to get a sandwich at Jersey Mikes and spotted this place across the street so thought I would try their French Dip I saw on commercials. Looked good. Have to say it was an expensive disappointment! Paid $18.99 for sandwich and a drink. First it did not come with Au Jus it was gravy and not very good at that. The bread was dry and a little hard but would have been ok if I had been given actual AU Jus. The stake was good but for the price and taste I would have done better going to Arby's. ( French dip not good) by saying Arby's French dip would have been better and a lot cheaper should let you know the Shack Shack French Dip was unacceptable! The only thing good was the woman working the counter she was so polite and worked very fast even though there was a lot of loud teenagers in the place. I sat outside because the noise level inside was extremely high. I myself won't return nor do I recommend the French dip. Maybe other items are good but I won't be finding out. Always clean. Always delicious. A little on the pricier side but it is good quality so can't complain too much. I feel like whenever I come here with my 8 year old that he and I run up a $30 tab for the two of us! Seems pricey but maybe I'm out of touch with reality. I love getting the smoke stack and my kid loves the plan cheeseburger. The buns and patties are just as good as the smashed, crispy patties you get at their NYC locations. Delicious! The smash burger is always consistent and one of the best fast food burgers you can buy. They are certainly more expensive and take longer to prepare, but the service is reasonable for their food type. The tablets make ordering easy and the interior is clean. Wow, I did not like a single thing about this place. The ambience was cold and uninviting. The ordering system is opaque. When we entered, some people were at a monitor but there is also a counter with registers but no one was there, so it was not clear what to do. Eventually a cashier arrived and I ordered. I was told "we will bring your food to you." So we found a clean table (not easy) and waited. A long time. Finally, another customer said "are you X, your food is waiting up front." So then I understood you pick it up at the counter. The food itself was not horrible but close to it. My Shack Burger was not seasoned, it was cold, and overall it was one of the worst burgers I have ever had. Small and not worth the $5 or whatever it was. Whataburger is so much better. The wife's hot chicken sandwich was pure heat, no flavor at all. The fries were not seasoned. There is absolutely nothing compelling about this place and you could not pay me to return. read more

Lots of hype! But didn't deliver. Somewhat high tech-ish decor. Somewhat cold and impersonal interior that is quite noisy. A line of order kiosks to the right when walking in. Who cleans them between customers? We ordered a couple of double burgers, a couple of cheese and bacon fries, a shake, a large coke and the cobbler dessert for 2 and were stunned by a $41.00 cost. Burgers are not large, the over $3 drink of 16 oz, and all else were way too pricey. Cleanliness was lacking at 9 pm. Debris on floor in many places including restrooms. Condiment counter was filthy with ketchup all over. Very difficult to get portion cups out of holder. No lids or straws. Napkins are thin and had to use more than normal as everything bled through. The burgers have good flavor, but nothing special compared to the other 11 places nearby. Nothing special about the shake The bacon cheese fries are good and perhaps the best item on the menu. The cobbler dessert was blue berry-ish with some dough and ice cream. It wasn't worth it in flavor or cost. The tables are dark stained porous wood. The next table was already losing color from being wiped down. The soft drink condensation was saturating our table. Seats are very hard and not comfortable. Since my first review, I've since been back multiple times to this location and my food has been HOT every time! Huzzah! And, they have finally re-opened the dining space so on my last visit I was able to enjoy my meal in a very clean, socially distanced environment vs in my car in the parking lot. I hate to throw shade on this Shake Shack because it's close and convenient to me but it doesn't measure up. I will say employees are friendly but I feel like they're on autopilot and not concerned with normal SS standards. They have the flavor down, but temperature control of food is off comically. Multiple visits: my smokeshack burger has tasted good but it's always lukewarm. Fries: room temp. Final straw: we ordered the black sesame shake last visit and it had no semblance of ever being frozen or even close to freezing. Dirty tables everywhere, trash on the floor, staff having a good time chatting it up and horsing around with each other. We placed our order and went to go look for a clean-ish table to sit at. Food took forever and at one point an employee walked around and seemed to be inspecting the whole lobby so I thought good they are about to tidy the place up. Wrong lol. I was thrilled to find there was a Shake Shack on Greenville since I'm frequently in that area. I stopped by and immediately noticed a colorful design on the outside, which is a little different from the other locations I've been to. Inside, it was different also. There were several kiosks to self order and pay. The layout was different. What I disliked most was that there was no menu. I'm old fashioned so I approached the register to place my order. I asked if there was a menu I could view. Luckily, there were laminated copies the cashier gave me. I ordered and was given a buzzer. I sat in a corner booth near the window and looked over everything. What was so different then all the other visits to previous Shake Shack restaurants? Then it became obvious. The atmosphere was quite different. It wasn't particularly busy since this was right after a lunch rush. There were few diners but it was overloaded with employees. That normally wouldn't be a problem but it was almost like I was attending a party that I hadn't been invited to. I felt in a way out of place. There were employees just hanging out all over. In the parking lot, the outside patio, inside. Everywhere. I'm not sure if there was a shift change taking place or what. And because there were so many employees there, you would expected it to have been cleaner. But outside, there were trays filled with trash stacked up, balled up napkins on the floor and some dirty trays inside. Don't get me wrong. The 2 employees I encountered were very nice. One openly began speaking to me and we engaged in conversation about the weather, tea, and where we are from. The second was the cashier who called me by name. It was more personal in my opinion and I love that. The food came out quickly and was cooked to perfection. I seriously considered asking to speak to the cooks to thank them for making it so dang good. I visited my new neighborhood Shake Shack! I was really excited to see this because I'm a fan of the business. I walked in and it's a huge and spacious restaurant. I ordered with the cashier even though they have some cool kiosk order station. The cashier was super sweet and enthusiastic. I ordered the chick shack and fries. The sandwich was filling! The fries were good( a bit crisp) but good! I love the crinkle cut style. I have had the vegan burger at other locations and I was bummed to see they didn't offer it here. I went with my typical order of double meat Shake Shack Burger with cheese fries but this time also got their famous frozen custard and a Stack Shack on the side The Shake Shack burger did not disappoint at all The combination of the ShackSauce with fresh tomatoes green lettuce and melted cheese between the fresh beef patties made this burger irresistible. The buttered bread was also soft and yummy. If you get cheese fries, ask for some more cheese on the side so you can dip your burger in it too The Stack Shack which is a cheeseburger with mushrooms was also good but not comparable to the regular burger in my opinion. What really impressed me however was the vanilla custard. It was cold, soft and overall delicious. Dipping fries in the custard was a smart decision too Overall, this location was clean and the service was quick and excellent. I ordered 2 orders of bacon cheese fries, and a burger. Well when i got my order, the cheese was seperated in a cup as well as the bacon. So when i got to my house to eat, the cheese hardened up like butter and the fries were soggy. I only live 10mins away. I looked at the burger and thought 3rd time is a charm.
