This was my 2nd visit to shake shack and it was a pleasant visit once again! I went on a limb and tried something totally out of the ordinary which was the smokeshack burger! It had cherry peppers on it which was something I'm totally not use too and the 'shacksauce'. I'm not sure what made it spicy but it had a little kick to it! My kiddos both got their chicken nuggets and they tore those bad boys up. My son was wanting to go eat at Chick-fil-A before we came to shake shack and he was extremely satisfied with their nuggets. He even said that they were better!!! My kids both got a chocolate shake and I got a fifty/fifty which is basically an Arnold Palmer. It was amazing! What a meal!!!! I had a chicken sandwich which was totally worth it, and their fries are hot and delicious! But the best part was the shake. I got a small size and I don't know how anyone could finish any other size?!?? So thick and creamy, creamy! I'll be going again soon for sure. If I'm craving a quality double cheeseburger, the Double Shack Burger delivers. There's just something about Shake Shack's double cheeseburger that stands out. The gooey cheese, quality beef, lettuce, tomato, and the perfect bun to meat ratio. My wife loves the Chick'n Shack and claims it's the best chicken sandwich she's ever had. It's a crispy chicken breast with lettuce, pickles and buttermilk herb mayo. Simple yet delicious. We also ordered a side of their cheese fries. It's topped with their special blend of cheddar and American cheese sauce. The fries are your normal crinkle fries, but there's just something about the cheese that stands out. I can't explain it, you just have to give it a try. Shake Shack is pretty expensive when it comes to a burger joint. The burgers are pretty small too. If I was super hungry, it would take two Shack Burgers to fill me up. With that being said, I consider this place a splurge. You can definitely get a quality burger at Whataburger for a lot cheaper. Don't come here thinking you'll get a bang for your buck. Expect to pay higher prices for a burger. Overall, I'm a fan of Shake Shack because there's just something special about their Shack Burger that has me hooked. This review is mainly for the to-go orders from their online website. But it's enough to not make me want to go back. I was really excited about Shake Shack opening up near me, because I used to love going there back when I lived in Jersey/NY area. The online website for ordering is confusing. I thought I was ordering a burger with sauce, tomato, cheese, lettuce, and onion. As well as a double with pickles and mustard. They wouldn't even let me put that I wanted mustard on the second burger. Then the cheese fries- 3.75$ for cheese fries seems a bit steep in price, but I was like well their fries are decent so why not. Total about 18$ but had 20% off for the first order so about 14$. I go to pick up my order, was ready for the time I selected. Get to my car and open my burger to find that I only got onions instead of the other condiments I wanted. I also had to go back inside to ask for the sauce because they never gave any. I didn't have time to get the order fixed so I was stuck with what I had. I ate the burger, meh was still hungry. Ate about 4 fries and realized they were half gone. I think I had like 10 fries, for 3.75$ thats cheap. Plus the way the packed it looked lazy. I was left feeling hungry and cheated. Honestly next time I'll just go to In&Out because it's about 10$ for 2 people for fries and burgers. Sure their fries are terrible but at least I don't leave feeling hungry! I will say that corporate was nice when I complained and gave me a refund but I will not be returning! Way better burgers in Texas then this place and way better priced. read more

Honestly, I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Shake Shack! We ordered burgers with their delicious sauce and fries. Everything tasted great, the service was good and despite the amount of people, the establishment was clean. I appreciated the games to encourage another element of fun! I was pleasantly surprised when our delivery order showed up at the house about 30 minutes after we ordered. Completely unsatisfying. The 3 stars are specifically for the service. The cashier was pleasant, our food came pretty quickly, and the restaurant was clean! The food was underwhelming at best. I've had better burgers and fries at Braums. I ordered the smokeshack burger. The meat was a little well done. I didn't specify when I ordered so that was on me. It didn't come with any lettuce or tomatoes but with some kind of slightly spicy peppers. The bacon wasn't anything special and the shack sauce wasn't noticeable. Also, the burger was on the smaller side. It filled me up but my boyfriend was still hungry after. I also ordered a side of fries. They were pretty tasty but not anything special. My boyfriend ordered the same burger but with a side of bacon cheese fries. The cheese wasn't gooey and kind of just looked like a blob on top of the fries. Again, the bacon wasn't anything special. I wanted to love it. I really did. But I have some obvious problems that hit me right in the face when I walked in. On the outside the place looks big. It's a big stand alone building. So when I walked in and saw the seating area I was appalled. The restaurant looks split in two with the order and kitchen area taking up 1/2 the space and seating taking up the other 1/2. I thought surely there are more seats "in the back" but no, there are not. It's under construction so there probably WILL BE ample outdoor seating, but that doesn't solve the winter problem or the sweltering summer problem for that matter. I don't like to feel like a clown fish eating while sharks are hovering to take my table. Fortunately when we arrived, it was busy and looked full, but as luck would have it, once we placed our order a table became open so we ran to claim it immediately. As the crowd began to loom, we looked more and more vulnerable. What if I wanted to nurse my tea after I ate? What if I had a beer and wanted to chill and watch the game while drinking my beer, only to have cranky parents with starving kids stare me down. There were so many people waiting to sit down once I ate my last fry that when I got up to refill my tea my boyfriend got all nervous and stood up to give the table away. I was like hold the hell up, but it was too late. Two teens were now sitting where I once was, before I got up to get a refill. I even saw a pushy woman tell a table full of teenage boys who were talking, not bothering anyone, but happened to be finished that she was waiting for their table. She made some snarky comment about waiting by their table and are they done. The boys politely got right up to give the table to the woman. Of course that ran me hot. #Southlakeproblems when you have to boss some kids out of their seats! Now on to the food. The food came out rather quickly. They give you a buzzer that goes off when your food is ready. Our buzzer went off. Our food wasn't ready so it must have been a buzzer false alarm. When it buzzed again, the food was ready. I had the shack burger, no tomato, add onion. My first bite took me back to the time when I chewed on a salt lick. Ok not really, but for real, the burger was noticeably salty. After a few more bites I guess I got used to it and didn't notice anymore. I do like a smashed burger as I'm not a fan of hunky meat so that was a plus. The fries were nothing to write home about. I got one cheese fry and one regular. Upon first glance the two orders of fries looked the same. The cheese fries were barely cheesy which took me aback but once I started eating them I decided any more cheese would have made them soggy. They are your usual crinkle cut fries, nothing exciting. The tea was ok but I could only try the unsweet because the organic sweet tea was completely out and no one refilled it while I was there. Very cute interior huge outdoor patio seating. Burger was 10/10. My fries were not cooked through I was too tired to go back inside and ask them to switch them out for cooked fries so I just ate them. I'm gonna excuse it because they were extremely busy and I know that things can happen when restaurants get busy. Got in line at 6:55 pm not realizing they closed at 7. After waiting our turn we placed our order and we're advised they were close to closing and with that in mind, did we want our food for here or to go. We said we would be quick and for it "for here" since we had additional errands to run. There were still patrons in the dining room when our order was called, and they then asked if since they were past closing if they could package our food to go. About two minutes prior they gave someone else their food and that person hd just started eating. I started to tell them not to package it to go but it quickly became awkward. I ultimately obliged and took it to go, but it was highly disappointing. I feel as though we should not have been given the option up front, or they just shouldn't have taken our order. Our first exposure to Shake Shack was in Las Vegas, we were happy to hear one would be opening in Southlake! We've been twice in three days now Burgers, chicken sandwich & frys were all hot and made correctly, per our special requests, each time. The chicken sandwich is so thick you almost can't open your mouth big enough to get around it. Gosh, well let me start off by saying I am from NY/NJ so I have been to the OG shake shack multiple times before trying out the one in Texas. SO let me start off by saying I am in LOVE with the variety that the shake shack menu has to offer in general. I don't eat beef, and before when I used to go to shake shack the only burger I would be able to eat was their portobello mushroom burger. Before it was mainly the beef, fries, and shakes. But I know this doesn't have anything to do with this location itself but the entire company. Not only have they added significantly more chicken options, not only in just burgers but in their hotdogs too, they also have vegetarian and vegan options! The MAIN reason this location of shake shack is getting a 4/5 is bc of the service! When I tell you that they care, THEY CARE! Whenever there was a problem with the order, or any questions that you needed to be answered both the staff and the manager are extremely helpful and knowledgable (they know the menu items and how they taste!). Whenever a table would empty, a staff member would come out and clean up/wipe down the mess that people would leave and then walk around and check on others making sure everything is okay and in place. Food: I ordered their new Hot Chick'n sandwich extra spicy with a vanilla milkshake. and OMG I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The sandwich was extremely fresh, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, spicy, absolutely loved it ! I will order this again and again. The shake was a shake, nothing special, however I do wish I ordered a concrete instead. My friend ordered the shroom burger (only because I raved about it so much) and a side of cheese fries and my oh my were we disappointed. They have definitely gone down on size with the sandwich. The sandwich literally could have been eaten in two bites. When I used to order this in NY I remember it being much bigger. The amount that you pay was definitely NOT worth it. The fries were surprisingly good. I am not a huge fan of crinkle cut but theres were freshly made and not sitting around. That is the one extremely positive thing I saw from shake shack is that the food tastes like they just made it for you, and not sitting around already made. Probably my new favorite burger place. Ordered a double burger, Spicey chicken sandwich and fries. Burger was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Chicken sandwich had a good kick, with really crispy breading, chicken was nice and juicy, pickles were crispy with the right amount of sour, and topped with the coleslaw, it stayed crunchy even with the chicken patty being hot. Topped it off lunch with a tiramisu milk shake, so yummy, creamy, thick, tastes like a tiramisu cake in liquid form... couldn't stop myself from drinking it even though I was full. read more

Nothing beats Shake Shack in NYC or DC, sorry, you just don't have "it" here in TX. It could just be due to the fact that we're not walking 30,000 steps a day to build up an appetite like we would in NYC. But it's still pretty good and I'm loving the option to order online through the app and have my food delivered to my car or picking it up at the front door of the restaurant. Everything is nicely packaged too. The burgers are really small but fresh and the crinkly cut fries and crispy and not greasy. The milkshakes are very good and I'll probably just stick to them. I was'nt impreesed by the Shake Shake at all! its an okay overpriced burger and they forgot my pickles and onions! I also witnessed one of the workers eating fries right out of the fryer (Gross) as I walked up to get my onions and pickles that they forgot!!! Fries were small and are also overpriced for (3.99)! I prefer a firmer bun. Fries were good, but expected crisper. Since it was my first visit, not sure if these were crisper than normal. Would ask for extra, extra crispy next time. Just my preference. I'm very disappointed. The last 2 times I came to this location they have let me down. First time they ran out of everything and only had one thing off the menu. So we left and came back again. I order the avocado bacon chicken sandwich everytime. I always ask for it grilled as i do not like fried chicken or burgers. I had asked for it to have no lettuce or mayo and for the chicken to be grilled. When I received my order it had lettuce and mayo and it was fried chicken. When we took it back up and asked again for it to be without mayo and lettuce and grilled chicken. The guy said we don't do that here and the guy at the front doesn't know what he's talking about. Visited Shake Shack purely so I can find out why they are compared to In & Out Burger, honestly there's no comparison. Since I'm here, I order something close to what I would get at In & Out, double double burger. Price point was my big complaint for what I received. Double cheese burger over 8.00, In & Out, like half that price. The burger was good but it didn't fill me up. If I'm going to pay that much for a burger, I will go to Whataburger atleast I will be full when I leave. Not very cleanly either, the restaurant had napkins all over the floor. I think my favorite thing on the menu is their cheese fries, so addicted. Hubby and the kids love the burgers and I can't leave out the Oreo shakes! Yumm! They ask for it every week! Burgers here are pricy and decent sized. 'Shroom burger was just like the regular shake shack cheeseburger but with the fried mushroom. The gooey cheese was different though. There was a lack in flavor but the patty's saltiness balanced everything out. This is just a regular burger place. I don't see the hype and why it should be a go-to place. I've tasted better burgers. Everything here is super pricy in my opinion. Average price just for a hamburger was $5~ Even a regular priced drink was hefty to me. The service was excellent though. Quick and considerate. I liked the fact they won't charge you extra for more veggies. Other than that, the food here is decent but for the price, I'm not to sure if it's worth coming back. read more

The place is clean, hard wood and metal chairs with wood benches, nothing padded. Had not tried Shake Shack before and will never eat here again. Asked girl at register how big their meat patties were, since they offer a single and double option, she said "I did not know". We asked what was in Smoke Shack burger and her reply was "I don't know" she finally figured it out and we asked for the cherry peppers on the side and she did not know how to do that. She called someone over for help and they wanted to charge us for "a side of cherry peppers". They already come on the burger and wanted them on the side to control heat aspect and they were honestly confused. How can your front line person not know answers to what are basic questions about their menu??? I Also asked for a cup for water and she charged me for a drink. Very poor customer service, when there are so many other options. The burgers were ok and the fries were crispy and hot, but not worth the price. Find another place to eat. read more

I've been to shake shack once before in Austin and I really enjoy the burgers and the cheese fries there. Everything came out fresh and tasted wonderful. Not to mention have y'all seen how aesthetically pleasing these burgers and fries look?! I did go on a Sunday and it was quite crowded so we did have to sit outside but it wasn't bad. I do want to give a shout out to Stephen (I think? That was the name on our receipt)! He was incredibly kind to my group. The staff was courteous and had great customer service.
