The service is great! I love it when employees don't look like they hate their jobs. I went during a lunch rush and ordered a single shack burger with fries. The line was out the door, but it moved fairly quickly. You also get a buzzer to know when your order is ready. Reason why I rated it 3 stars was because the burger and fries didn't taste phenomenal enough to live up to its hype. I honestly think 5 Guys tastes better, but my #1 favorite burger place is Fuddruckers. Other than that, it's good and the portion is good for the price. I would come back! read more

Best Burgers on the East coast. Not quite sure why it has only a 3.5 rating. Shake shack is by far the best burger place I've had. Better than 5guys, in-n-out, or whatever else. The only problem with this location is that it's so busy and small. Specifically, in the wintertime everybody huddled in that small little restaurant. My only critique then is of the restaurant size. Deliiiishhhhh burgers and fries!!! Great sit down meal with friends or fam... but not much seating. The store itself is very small and crowded. The shakes cost $6, and the burgers and fries are a but pricey-- similar to 5guys. While we were ordering, our order was interrupted because one of the guys wanted to mop there right then. I've always been meaning to try this place out but never had the chance to until recently. I went on a Saturday night and there were around 8 of us. It was very hard to find seating but luckily we were able to snag a large table right before we got our food. I ordered a single shack, fries, and the shake of the week (matcha citrus). Shake -- Let me start off by saying the matcha citrus shake was AMAZING. If that shake is available when you go - you need to get it!!! I think the size of the shakes are perfect. Burger -- The burgers here are very small. Keep that in mind when you order. I was satisfied with the single because I had fries and a shake as well. The buns flatten a lot which make the burgers very thin. The bread that is used is very good though, the burgers basically melt in your mouth! Fries -- The fries are crinkle cut. Burgers and shakes are the same as any other Shake Shack location. Small seating area for the amount of traffic but it is a mall location. Maybe six small tables inside but a bunch more outside. Always packed with people but they give you beepers to tell you when your food is ready. Fine location outside the main drag of the mall but in a plaza area which is really nice. There's a walkway to the Metro station from here, a playground, and a open outdoor space overlooking Route 123. read more

Fried chicken sandwich IS THE BOMB. This sandwich hits the spot with the buttermilk sauce, and it compliments the fried chicken in soo many ways. You know that it's fresh when each bite you take is, light, crisp and not too oily from being in the fryer. I love, love, love, it and love it even more when I dip it with ketchup too :) One down side that I'd point out is that the seating is a bit chaotic when it's really busy. It's hard to find a table for your party size if it's 4+ unless you plan on sitting outside. Thats disregarding if the weather is nice, but at the most you'll find yourself giving up and just waiting around if it's poopy weather outside. Shake Shack has easily become my favorite burger spot. This location however is not my favorite. My usual order is the Single Shack Burger with add pickles, Fries with Cheese Sauce, & usually draft Abita Root Beer. I just love their burger patties, it is always juicy & cooked well. The taste & fluffiness of the buns are also why I love their burgers. The Fries aren't really anything too special but the Cheese Sauce is too good to pass up! They use a blend of Cheddar & American Cheese, it's gooey & thick in consistency which I appreciate because it's really all cheese & not a skimped version. I love the draft Abita Root Beer because it just tastes better since it comes from the tap. Sometimes, I do order the Milkshakes & Custards which are great especially because they have seasonal flavors! This location is relatively small, there are a few tables inside & also a bigger outdoor patio section which doesn't help in the colder months. They also take FOREVERRRR to fulfill orders, I feel like sometimes it takes longer than 20 minutes. For the most part, the cashiers/staff are friendly but a few times they are not. This location also doesn't have a restroom, you have to go into the mall which is right next door, but still kind of annoying. I mainly come to this location because it is near my work & I am usually at the mall, so it is out of convenience. There are better locations, but the food is still pretty great. read more

Wait during COVID is atrocious, but at least we didn't have to wear a mask and can actually breathe in fresh air instead of my own expired hot breath. This was my 1st experience at Shake Shack. I think the overall quality of food is solid. I love the chicken and hot dog options they offer. The fries and shake was phenomenal. I think I enjoyed that the most. The service was a little unorganized, as I waited almost 45 min for my food. I would recommend this location if in the Tyson's Corner area. Shake Shack is one of my top favorite burger places. The meat is always juicy and tender, the buns are warm and soft. I always get the smoke stack, the crispy bacon combined with the hot peppers is awesome! Just talking about it is making my mouth water. I saw on their menu that they now have a chicken sandwich. I definitely wanted to try it since I love chikfila and wanted to see how it compared. One word. AMAZING!! The chicken was super moist and crispy, the herb dressing wasn't too overwhelming, and the warm soft bun and crisp lettuce just topped it off. Sorry Chikfila, you've been replaced! The only reason why I docked a star is because of service. Now the line moved pretty quickly for it being busy and only a few people working in the kitchen however I was taken aback by how the cashier was talking to the two customers in front of me, admiring their looks and telling them upfront. A nice comment to them is a wonderful gesture however if you call your coworker over and gawk at them while they are waiting for their food and I'm standing there waiting for my order to be taken that's a big no. Granted this is a grab and go place with limited seating so I shouldn't expect much with service. Also the to go area where the sauces and napkins were was pretty messy. I got my stuff to go and enjoyed my meal at the food court. Can't wait to come back again! read more

After spending a long day shopping, my friends and I stopped by here and absolutely loved this spot. It's located outdoors on the second floor super clean and scenic area. They even have a kids playground right next to it so you can have some you time after a productive day of scrolling around the mall. Ohhh boy. The crinkle-cut fries are addictive, really golden and crispy. I liked the mushroom burger, even though it was not at all what I expected. I was expecting it to be healthy-ish, but it turned out to be a deep fried 'shroom patty slathered with melted cheese. Obviously delicious. A couple of downers, though. 1) Unfortunately, due to its popular location, it's a long wait most days. 2) It's kind of expensive. I think our family (2 adults, 2 kids under 5) spent about $35 for lunch, and only one person got a drink/soda. 3) There's minimal indoor seating, which isn't great for cold or rainy days (but hello, upstairs food court). On the upside, on good weather days, there's a pirate-ship-climbing-apparatus just adjacent to the outdoor patio. I ordered the SmokeShack which was cooked to perfection, the chopped cherry peppers and shacksauce really elevate the burger to another level. Blehhh. I feel like with Shake Shack you either love it or you hate it. Obviously, I'm not a huge fan. The burgers are just so-so on their best days, and I usually leave hungry even if I get a side of fries with my order. On top of that, Shake Shack is quite expensive, which would be fine if the quality/quantity could justify the cost. On my most recent visit to Shake Shack, I decided to go with their Shack-ago Dog, which is a Chicago style hot dog with grilled onions, peppers, relish, and mustard. The hotdog, much like their burger, was tiny. I feel like a normal person would have to eat 2 plus an order of fries to even be remotely satisfied. This particular Shake Shack location has limited seating inside, but plenty outside. To be on the safe side, I recommend placing your order to-go in the event that you have to take your food and eat it inside the of the mall. I find Shake Shack's food to be underwhelming at best. Eeeeeveryone talks about it, but after my most recent meal here, I feel like it would have been wiser if I got a hot dog from 7-11 instead. read more

Hailing from SoCal, I was raised on In-N-Out. I'd have to say that Shake Shack comes pretty close! The ShackBurger is my favorite fast-food eatery cheeseburger on the east coast. It's just the right size and gives the perfect amount of satisfaction from a burger (it's not too greasy or too heavy). Also, the ShackSauce is FIRE. I wish I could buy it bottled from and add it to my home condiment collection! LOL The fries are basic, but the shakes are pretty tasty. I normally opt for the coffee hand-spun. The only downside about this location is that it stays VERY packed which contributes to not-so-clean tables and condiment dispenser area. I tend to order to go since it's a little more pleasant to sit at the eating area in the food court near the theater. read more

Formerly a hot dog cart, Shake Shack has expanded its locations and offerings to include burgers, chicken sammies, twice-fried crinkle cut fries and frozen custard shakes. Fresh ingredients make Shake Shack a favorite of many of my friends, but I just couldn't stomach my uber thick and rich shake and felt the bacon cheddar burger was a bit too unctuous for my taste. If you like custard, though, this Shake is likely to be just your thing!! The location right outside the Hyatt and Lord & Taylor is lovely and the outdoor seating is probably very welcoming during the summer months. Unfortunately we came in the middle of winter in a drizzly day and braved the crowded dining area with probably the grumpiest bunch of mall-goers we've seen in quite awhile (lighten up, shoppers!). Recommend to visit in the summer and get 1/2 or 1/3 a Shake-- they'll even split it into 2 cups for you if you request. read more
