Kind of like a superior version of McDonald's, every thing tastes fresher and better, along with the customer service. They're always so pleasant even when it gets super crowded ( which is often ) I love their chicken sandwiches as well as their shakes and cheese fries!! Everything on the menu tastes good even the hot dogs ( which was weird for me to be in the menu but overall was tasteful ) I've had their burgers before and a couple other things on the menu but my go to meal is a chicken sandwich with cheese fries and I'll be set. The chicken tastes so fresh and tasty. I think I like it better than chick-fil-a which is surprising because I go to chick-fil-a a lot but mainly for their tenders. Although it is tasty it is quite expensive or more expensive than one would think so beware. I'm not sure if it's worth that much but I always end up enjoying it so I'm not stressing. I also love how the team members usually bring YOU the food. Instead of standing near a pick up section and waiting for your number to be called. Anyways please try it!! I came in late; like 30 minutes before they close and the service and food was still fantastic. I got the cheeseburger with a lemonade. They make these burgers really crispy on the outside but tender in the inside. Simple and delicious when sandwiched in between the soft buttery buns. I don't mind spending a premium if I'm getting a premium in return, but the whole time I was eating my burger and looking at it, I realized that it looked exactly like a steak and shake burger... A good presentation on the outside, but about an 8th of an inch thick piece of beef on the inside... Seemed like it got scraped off the girdle from the leftovers of the other burgers cooking, Looked more like a meat crepe. This place has a great chicken sandwich, very flavorful! The sandwich looks small but it was very filling (and I can eat!).The fries were so good, Golden and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! Add cheese sauce and you are all set! I can not explain the joy I feel when I go to Shake Shack. This is one of the best places to get an on the go burger or stop in for a quick bite either during your lunch break or with a friend for a lunch date. Their menu is very easy to read and also very kid friendly. I usually get a shack burger or smoke shack. If I feel like mixing it up a bit, I get the Chickn Shack which is amazing. It's always so crunchy and my food is always hot and crispy. The wait time isn't too bad either, if its not super busy I say expect to get your food in about 10-12 minutes. The update is that I received a message, as publicly posted by Shake Shack talking about food quality, etc. Okay, that's cool. Then I checked out a couple more reviews of this Shake Shack, and saw the exact same, word for word message sent to others...check it our for yourself. Pretty lame I think. Yelp is about individual people sharing their good and bad opinions about the places they visit, and giving their individual and unique feedback. Worth everything I've been told. Went in and the very helpful staff got me set up with the smokeshack, fries and a vanilla shake! The cherry peppers and the sauce were delicious and the bacon was thick and crisp! The potato bun held together perfectly and it was to die for! To the manager of the Morgan St. Shake Shack: please train your team to apologize to a customer when they give a customer an incomplete order. This review is specifically about the employees and service at the Morgan St. Shake Shack in Chicago, IL. Generally, I love Shack Shake. I appreciate their higher quality antibiotic free ingredients and their restaurants have the nicest design of any similarly priced burger joints. I understand this is not a high-end restaurant and the employees do not even have a tip jar, but I have been to the Morgan St. location 3 times in the last two weeks and my order has been incomplete 3/3. I have never received an apology for my order being incomplete; instead I have either just been given my missing items without a comment or I have been reprimanded for not checking my order. Yes, I certainly need to check my order, but I think it would be polite for the employees to also apologize when an order is given to a customer that is incomplete. It is annoying to get home or half-way home and realize that you need to return to get the rest of your incomplete order. It is even more insulting to be reprimanded by the staff that I did not notice my order was incomplete. I have always politely explained which part of my order is missing and I have never asked for any type of compensation for my trouble, but it would be nice if the employees took some responsibility for not providing a complete order. read more

I don't leave reviews usually but, last night I experienced great customer service here. Usually when I come in here I get my food and leave or sit in. & the employees don't talk or smile. But, last night a gentlemen (name on the receipt Sergio) talked to me for 3 mins about music. He didn't make me feel rushed even though I didn't know what I wanted, smiled, super friendly and turns out it was only his second week! Kudos to Sergio! This was my first time ever visiting a shake shack and I definitely was not impressed. The food was ok, the staff was nice but the service was not great. Nothing against the employees they were nice and considerate but I waited in line too long and it seemed to take quite awhile to make our order. I ordered the smoke shack with fries. The burger was a 5 out of 10 and the fries were not tasty at all. I think Five guys is a much better burger joint in relation to a similar type restaurant. I'm an avid Shake Shack fan. So excited to have this location closer to where I live and away from the congested downtown tourist area. We had a friend in town who was a SS virgin. He loved the Shack burger so much, he had to place an order for a second one. (Tragic his hometown doesn't have a SS!) I went Saturday evening and there was no line, little wait. However, parking was a bit of a pain, but after a few determined circles around the neighboring blocks, I found a spot. The presentation which seems quite deliberate makes it appear to be this great, well proportioned burger. The bottom line is that the burger is just not good. Small, mooshy, and the Shack sauce is a poor spattering of a mayo like substance. Fries are good. Avoided the pump and dump cheese sauce. This is yet another highly marketed fast food chain.
