Be careful the bartender brandon will overcharge you or put his friends drink on your tab. First time charged me twice even though I made a comment he insisted he had canceled it...and did not. I let it go because mistakes happen, but the second time I ordered a $5 drink and he charged me $87!!! I only noticed a few days later because another bartender charged me $49 for one drink (but she immediately fixed it ) This isn't just a little mistake they are overcharging by a lot, it's such a shame how far this place has fallen off. This is one of the neighborhood bars in the Austin Ranch community. I kept driving by and my husband and I finally decided to stop by. We were both starving and decided to get food and he got a beer as well. We brought our puppy and were able to sit on the patio. We didn't know at first but you have to walk in to get service. Our server was super sweet and we loved how kind she was to our dog too. The food wasn't bad however the portions were small. The chicken fried steak sandwich is not how it's traditionally made. Think McDonald's McChicken but even smaller! And it was 13$! The mac and cheese was 11$ and after eating both entrees unfortunately I still was left hungry. I patronized this bar. My experience at this bar was horrible. Trashy crowd and cops show up here a lot. There was a shooting at this bar in the past. The music is garbage and way too loud. Two other bars right near by that actually know what volume levels to play music at. I'm sure it bothers the residential community nearby, but in any case I digress as this is about my impression of this bar firsthand. The food is horrendous and ended up making me nauseous. I went here for the very first time last night with my friends. The vibes here was really nice! I do feel like the crowd was not very diverse which was lame. The DJ played a lot of the same songs OVER AND OVER which was annoying, but his music selection was great. It was a nice mix of Spanish music, hiphop, and pop music. There was a couple throwbacks which we all loved. My bartender was Brandon! He was AMAZING. I will definitely come back again to see him because he made my experience here so fun. It's been awhile since Cynthia and I enjoyed this place after I took Cynthia to IFLY, Indoor Skydiving. We sat outside, the weather was perfect and enjoyed a couple delicious craft Cocktails, but the highlight was the Truffle Fries, we savored every bite and couldn't get enough of the flavors. Only leaving 4 Star's at this point because our visit was such a hit and run, but I promise we will be back to sample everything else on the food and Cocktail menu's. I was looking for a new sports bar to enjoy the first week of the 2016 NFL season and found Shakertins on Yelp. It's located right in The Colony where Zen used to be, and there's ample parking behind the restaurant. I absolutely love the décor - from the rustic shelves to the "framed" televisions and booze-related quotes on the wall. This place is very rustic chic and has an open-air feel, which is perfect if you're looking for a patio type of place but still want to actually be able to see the televisions. The staff - especially the bartender Riley - is really awesome and friendly and gave us some great recommendations. We ordered the Pesto Hummus and it was seriously the best hummus I've ever had. You should definitely try it if you love basil like I do! The crab cake benedict was amazing, too. Shakertin's had $5 mimosas/bloody marys for brunch and 1/2 price flatbreads for the NFL games. I wasn't too impressed with the California chicken flatbread, but it was only $5-$6. The restaurant itself has an outdoor patio area, corn hole, shuffleboard, etc. so it's a great place to hang out when weather is nice. This place has a lot of potential but we were disappointed it was fairly empty during the first week of the NFL games and ended up going next door. I came here once before a few years ago before the remodel and have no idea what happened since that time. The food used to be pretty decent and had a fun atmosphere. On my most recent visit, I ordered the chicken quesadilla, couldn't finish it, and I felt ill from the half that I did manage to get down. The music is so loud you may as well come by yourself since you won't be able to actually talk with anyone, both inside and outside. The bartender was nice enough but the servers won't pay you any attention. I'm not sure what they do aside from stand in the corner on their phones. The servers the bartenders make this place feel like a hometown bar. But particularly this location had recently hired a new bartender SarahJean she goes by SJ. I attended a birthday party here. The bartenders are very generous and make stiff drinks. They do have a menu with some specialty cocktails. I ordered the truffle fries. They were shoestring fries with the perfect amount of oil and cheese crumbles. They were perfectly crispy. They give you a large portion. They were really good!!! I also ordered the wing flight and tried the lemon perlpper and wlsweet chili. The lemon pepper was really tasty. A nice zing and they put a good amount of seasoning on them. The thai chilli had a nice spice. Overall. I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with my meal. It seems like a venue that caters to sports. There were a lot of screens throughout and they have daily drink and food specials. There were some pool tables and games too. They also seem to have a nice texas beer selection. From what others have said, they will serve people until they are falling down drunk and be happy to let them drive. If, however, you respond to their incredibly rude attitude (here is looking at you Sunday bartender girl) they will literally threaten to call the cops on you for being drunk (at a bar). This is their MO. They actually called the cops on me without knowing I was the designated driver! Still, had I not been this could have been really ugly. Firstly what kind of bar does uses the police as their muscle (especially against a girl) and accuses their own customers of being drunk when they are selling alcohol? This place seems to have gone downhill from what it used to be. I used to frequent here several years ago, and stopped in this weekend since a friend I haven't seen in a while was there. My bartender was attentive, which was the only good thing about my experience there. What made me decide to write a review was the girl who pulled out a literal megaphone and proceeded to yell at guests for them to get out at the stroke of 2. Quite literally, she continued to scream into the megaphone as patrons were actively leaving the bar - only a few feet away. I realize that a bar can be loud, so using a megaphone could make sense (although a bit excessive), but this girl was literally walking towards patrons screaming into it as if she were some angry political activist at an event. Considering everyone in the building just did business with the restaurant, they deserve a bit more respect when walking out the door. Especially considering the lights had just come on only a few seconds earlier. Definitely turned me off from going back anytime soon. UPDATE- (Read owners response) Thanks for the clarification about that person not being a member of the staff. Makes things much more understandable, and will be happy to stop in again. But while I'm on the topic, it would be great if the tables and cues are kept in good shape though. I love the sport, but every time I've been there, both the tables and cues (tips mainly) are in very bad shape. The table looks fine but plays horribly, so it's easy to overlook. I know it isn't a pool hall, but there IS a separate area for pool. Just a thought! read more

WORST SERVICE ever. The restaurant was completely empty when we came in.. and there was no one to greet us at the door making us seat ourselves down at a table. Sat down for a few minutes & had to go find a server to bring us some waters. The server brought us 2 menus for 6 people?? After giving us the menus she walks back to the back & socializes with coworkers, completely ignoring us for a while causing us to have to walk up to her & order.
