I haven't been here in years but decided to go in and try out their pizza mojo potatoes and chicken. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by smiling faces. The staff here has some of the best customer service from the cashier to the bartender to the bus boy cleaning the tables. Everything is clean, lots of tvs to watch the game and a nice selection of arcade games for the kiddos. Highly recommend going here. Haven't been to a Shakey's in years and had lunch today at this one having their Buffet lunch special. It was well-maintained and clean. The staff was friendly and attentive, especially Martel. There was always pizza out, as well as the other items, such as enchiladas, potatoes, and gravy, mac & cheese, chicken, and Mojoes a very reasonable price for all you can eat. I can not in good faith give anymore than 2-stars when i have to navigate around a filthy floors, uncleaned tables and greasy chairs. It smelt like vomit in one corner of the back room. This specific shakeys pizza parlor!!! This review is way past due. This shakeys, specifically this one, is amazing! They have the friendliest most caring crew. They are so welcoming & incredibly hard working it's just so amazing to see this level of customer care and warmth its literally joyful coming here w your kids/family/&friends. It's fun for us Adults and feels like an amusement park to our kids. The crew cares about every single person who comes through their door or who's trying to go outside (little ones)...Even though,that is not their job. They are on top of it all, coming around asking if you need anything ( sauces, dirty plates off of your table) you honestly do not get this kind of kindness or hard work at a restaurant any longer... this is a gem of a team. Please consider tipping after leaving your table because I have never wanted to tip by heart anywhere else in a long long time. It had been ages since I had eaten here, and Diane and I thought it was high time for a return. I selected a large 12-inch Pepperoni, Mushroom, and Cooked Tomato Pizza, while Diane opted for a large 12-inch Canadian Bacon & Extra Cheese Pizza. The tomatoes on my hot pizza were diced, the mushrooms fresh, and the well-baked thin crust pizza covered with generous toppings easy to finish in one dinner sitting. The Canadian Bacon on Diane's pizza was flavorful, and the cheese plentiful. A full order of Mojo Potatoes added an additional tasty element to our meal, and Diane enjoyed two pieces of crispy Fried Chicken, as well. Unlimited refills of Diet Pepsi washed everything down well. Our order taker and servers were friendly and efficient, although my pizza had to be run down and arrived a few minutes after Diane's order was set down on our comfortable booth's table. It was a graduation night, so the casual restaurant was buzzing with celebratory patrons. When I looked carefully at our check I was surprised to see that we had been given a substantial Senior Discount without asking for same. My ever graying hair must be giving my age away on sight! On Sat. April 20, 2024 at 3:00 pm, I attended a birthday celebration for my grandson. I was impressed with the patience, kindness, and efficiency of the servers and overall staff. With between 40-50 people of all ages attending, the staff had their hands full. We were a noisy group and everyone up roaming around to talk to others; it was like an obstacle coarse for the servers. They kept their cool and remained polite. I'm not sure I could have. I don't even know where to begin! Sat down at a table that was dirty, had to wipe it off myself just sit down. The quality of food was horrible. The pizza was over cooked, the chicken was greasy and the mojos were clearly sitting for hours. Tried to order a salad and they were "out", they make so many salads per day and when they run out too bad! I would never come back here again. I haven't been here since I was a kid but my husband decided to spontaneously stop here for lunch after we discovered our other lunch place was closed on a Sunday afternoon. They have lunch buffets from 11-2 which includes different types of pizza, their mojos, fried chicken, and mac and cheese. Our 3 year old loved the pizza and mac and cheese of course. Excellent pizza and chicken! It was crowded when we went (MLK Day) for the Bunch of Lunch, but the incredible staff kept the buffet nicely stocked. The price for Bunch of Lunch was around $13 per adult (not including drinks), and my toddlers ate for $1 per year old they are. They also have a card they punch for a free lunch after 10 punches. We got 4 punches in one visit, for the two adult meals and two toddlers. They had a variety of pizzas, pasta, mac and cheese, mojo potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, veggies, cinnamon rolls, and a pretty basic salad bar. Overall a fun, nostalgic lunch out! I booked a small party at this Shakey's location. We are not from around the area. I was very happy and pleased with our party. Everyone was VERY nice and had great customer service. Good pizza, fried chicken, and mojos plus an arcade area for the kids. Well the only thing that is missing is a good deal as this place can be pricey for a family. Their chicken is perfectly fried with a nice crunch on the outside and juicy on the inside. The pizzas have their own signature taste and are made with whole milk mozzarella. Shoutout to Paco who was like having a dedicated server in a very bustling restaurant on a Friday evening. He was so attentive and engaging that he deserved and received a tip. What a superstar he is! We'd be remiss not to also send BIG kudos to 1) Michaela in the arcade who is so perfect with kids, 2) Jeff who superbly bussed the tables for our party of 16 guests, and 3) Jewel, our cashier, who was exceptionally kind, professional, and positive. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered some pizza from Shakey's in Redlands on Colton Ave and not only did I get delicious pizza, but I also received the best customer service I have received in a long time. Every employee that I came into contact with that day was amazing! I had accidentally misplaced my car keys and Amanda and Jeff went out of their way to help me. They were so kind and helpful. It helped to know they were concerned enough to take the time to go through the trash and look through security videos. My keys were eventually found and I have them and the other employees working that day to thank... I went back to the restaurant a few days later and again received excellent customer service and delicious pizza. Thank you so much!!!! read more
