It was our first time doing a seafood boil and they did not disappoint! Very affordable for seafood and the flavors were on point! Had scallops and crawfish in one bag with all three sauces; shrimp and green mussels in another bag with lemon garlic and butter sauces; fried oysters and hush puppies. All tasted really great--the seasonings were perfect and hit the right heat level for us at "mild." We also appreciated the free refills on drinks. As someone who has had clam chowder from 90 seafood places in New England over the past two months I am what you might call an expert on the subject. The utter Gaul of this restaurant to have runny clam chowder is dishonest. Clam Chowder should be more of a thick milkshake consistency rather than the milk consistency of which this Clam Chowder has. With the limited menu of entrees to feed one, after work I ordered the calamari plate. The fried calamari seemed to be microwaved and did not come to my liking. read more

I was here on 08.29.2021 apart of a party of 4 and it was my best friends birthday. We all entered but I didn't have a face mask so I used my shirt instead of being rude and using nothing at all. The Asian man behind the counter wanted to give my company a hard time asking questions like do you have a mask for her and referring to me in the third person. As if we weren't standing together waiting to be seated. He did all this just to have a pile of face masks behind the counter, and didn't even offer me one but wanted to complain that I didn't have one on. It was a very passive aggressive non-professional way to act. As soon as I asked if they provided face masks he reached down and gave me one. I spent over $100 at the establishment the least you can do is provide 99¢ face masks without throwing a temper tantrum. read more

Worst seafood bag I have ever had!!! Called to advise what the problem was and was hung up on. Called back was put on hold only to be disconnected two more times! The Roslindale location is way better. My bag barely had sauce, the potatoes were not done, still hard, and the corn was soggy. Very dissatisfied as I've ordered from here before. read more

My husband stumbled upon this hidden gem in Dorchester. Introduced our 13 yr old to cat fish served with sweet potato fries. He asks for Shaking Seafood at least once a week. They have some of the best chicken wings we have ever had. And my favorite, are the garlic noodles with shrimp. They are absolutely delicious. I too could eat this every week. Please don't ever take those off the menu. We have gotten take out mostly, and my son and I ate in one night. The staff is very helpful, we have had great customer service everytime . Quite tasty boiled shrimp, yummy fried catfish and Cajun fries. The boiled corn was clearly frozen and not good, but that's not really the reason someone would order the seafood boil. Very generous portions for the boil, too. Looking forward to trying the crawfish. I doubt I would stay to eat at the restaurant, but am excited for the carry out! read more

Friend recommended us so we are here ! Place was small but warm and clean ( specially during pandemic). We ordered Fresh Oysters, Special combo Lobster , Crab and Shrimp and add Crawfish , the shaking sauce Hot is the best . Little over spicy for me but my friend said it's perfect! Lobster was fresh of course I can tasted from the meat ( we are good at that) . Also the Garlic Noodle is recommended! Best part is they have owned parking lot ! You gonna see us a lot ! read more

This was our first time trying this location, we are so glad we did. The portions were good size lobster and crab clusters we added extra sausage and shrimp so good. The only thing was wrong was the extras in each bag they missed the eggs and extra potatoes definitely giving them a pass they were busy, we are looking forward to our next time ordering from here. read more

Excellent value for a cajun seafood boil. Gloves were dripping red afterwards, like I had just murdered a beautiful garlicky god of delicious oily seafood. Oysters were some of the meatiest and briniest I've had this side of the Mississippi. I ordered from the Dorchester location last night and I think they gave me old crab legs that's been sitting in water for hours. The crab meat wasn't tender and moist, it was my stringy and the shell was hard to break. Which further proves that they did give me some crab legs that were sitting for a long time. The seasoning was not good either. It's like no one cares about the flavor of the seasoning and just gave me butter with garlic. The garlic noodles are usually my die hard favorite but last night they didn't really season those either. I'm usually the spokesperson for this location because when they first opened, they were DELICIOUS. Now they're going down in quality and flavor. I hope they see all of our reviews and fix it. We finally got a reputable seafood spot in our neighborhood and unfortunately I will not be returning. Why would I spend $40 on old crab flavorless crab legs when I can go elsewhere? If you care about your wallet and taste buds, I suggest you do the same. read more

My experience here was very underwhelming. Firstly, the customer service was not very pleasant and a bit unprofessional. The waitress asked me on 3 occasions to stand from my seat so another worker could come and go through the back door in which they sat me in front of. This however, was the least of my worries, as I'm typically not bothered by trivial situations such as this. Onto the food, there was hardly enough sauce in my shrimp and crab seafood bag and the very little bit of sauce in the bag was extremely bland. I got the shaking sauce and I couldn't taste a hint of garlic or any of the spices. I also ordered oysters and almost gagged, there was no sauces with the oysters, they were warm and not fresh at all. I had no choice but to complain about the oysters, the waitress didn't dispute and took them back without issue. Can anyone confirm if the shaking seafood in Roslindale gives free refills? They brought our drinks out in these small plastic SOLO cups and informed us refills aren't free. There was 7 of us in total and I had the opportunity to taste a few other items my party had ordered. The fried catfish and fried shrimp was quite good. The lemon pepper wings were great! The fried scallops were horrible. Fried oysters were mediocre. 4 of us got the seafood bag and we were all disappointed. Honestly, its upsetting to continually see businesses opening in the community and expecting us to be oblivious or simply accepting of poor quality. Maybe I'm being a little dramatic, but it's just how I feel lol. If you're coming here for the shaking seafood bag, I would advise you not to waste your time and money. You're better off going to the one is Roslindale or even Shaking Crab in Brookline. Also, can someone tell the waitress not to stand over my shoulder and literally stare at me while I sign the check, I was mad uncomfortable. read more
