Personal cherry pie and coconut ice cream
    Molly L.

We came here to Shampa's Pies on a weekend. Can't believe we haven't been here before since it's just up the road from a few other eateries we like to visit when we are in Pacifica. We ordered the personal cherry pie, the chocolate chip cookie, ice cream, and the pizza croissant. All the items were delicious. The ice cream is from Mitchell's, which is a SF brand and delicious. The mozarella croissant tasted great when we heated it up at home later. The cookie was also pretty good, but was not super fresh. And the pie was pretty good when. We heated it up but not as flaky as we would have liked. Overall, the desserts were great and we would come back.

Everything about Shampa's Pies is delightful. I always preorder items to guarantee. But every time I go in I always find myself grabbing the seasonal Gingersnap cookies or their famous sweet and savory hand-pies. The staff is all family and truly provides the best service in their sweet little corner of Palmetto.

Chocolate pie, key lime pie and pecan pie! Yuuuuuuuuummmmm!

Wowser! I never get down to Pacifica to go to the bakery. I ALWAYS buy their scrumptious mini pies at the Fillmore Jazz Festival. In fact when I go to the Fest, I hunt down Shampa's booth! Hands down their pies are addicting they're sooo good! The key lime pie especially blew me away. Creamy and tart! If you find them at any festival find the booth and buy, buy, buy!

Do you have anything sugar free in store?

Hi Aisa, we make a no-sugar-added apple pie which you can order. It is a 2-day turnaround and we only make it in the 8" size. We use Swerve sugar replacers. Obviously, the fruit has natural sugar so it is not "sugar free". Thanks for asking!

    Is their outdoor seatings?

I was there a couple months ago and there were 2 benches out front. I just added a photo to their Yelp page so you can see them.

Do you make Lemon Cream pies?

Hi Frank, Thanks for reaching out! We make Lemon Chess pies and Strawberry Lemon Chess pies. We…

BALI BOWL - delicious, well seasoned quinoa with mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado and eggs. BEACH BREAKFAST - solid fluffy and delicious pancakes, delicious sausage, fluffy eggs, real maple syrup. WAFFLES AND BERRIES - crispy, airy waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. GIBRALTAR - not tart. delicious. creamy. TSOCOLATE - one of the best hot chocolates I've had in a very long time. I LATTE - delicious and not "milky" (watered down). There is a large and free parking lot for the center in which this cafe is in. They are on the beach. Coffee bean roasting was in progress while we were here. Cashier and servers were awesome.

In my defense, though, at least I try to keep it a bit healthier by not slathering globs of cream cheese all over it. However, when it comes to lox bagels, all bets are off. And you can be sure all bets were off when we stopped off at David's Bagels to try what my buddy says is his favorite lox & bagels around! Much like Pacifica as a whole, David's Bagels is a rather cozy, laid back sort of spot. While there isn't any seating inside (I assume a lot of folks take their order down towards the pier or the beach), they do have a display case for their pastries and treats they offer to go along with the fifteen or so varieties of bagels. Based on the photos on Yelp, most of those baked goodies, like their muffins, croissants, hamentoshen, and donuts, looked pretty enticing, but, sadly, we didn't get to try any of them since all they had left were a few different types of cookies. Since I already knew what I wanted before we even walked in, the only thing left to figure out was the type of bagel. Thankfully, I was able to get exactly what I wanted - a LOX & CREAM CHEESE ($17.75) on a Jalapeno Cheddar Bagel with Everything (Tomatoes, Cucumbers, and Capers). Although the bagel itself was notably smaller than I thought it would be, all together, this was still pretty hefty and tasty. The salmon was delicious, the veggies were fresh, they didn't skimp on the cream cheese, and, most importantly, the bagel was terrific aside from its size. The center of it was moist, it wasn't all that dense, and I love how the jalapenos were incorporated in the batter and not just laid on top. As undeniably good as the Lox & Cream Cheese was, it's hard to argue that it didn't feel a little pricey. Granted, it has gotten more expensive at just about every bagel joint and that this one came fairly loaded, but I still feel like I could find this for less elsewhere. That being said, the cost of the bagels by itself, as well as their Turkey Bagel Sandwich, are actually pretty standard. All in all, THREE AND A HALF STARS would be perfect if I could, but I'm, somewhat regretfully, rounding down for now. I may not get the Lox & Bagel here again, as it's a bit of a splurge, but I'd happily return to David's Bagels to try their other bagels and some of their other baked goodies!

However, maybe it's because I waited a couple of days to eat it. Highly recommend transferring to a plate or trey if you're gonna wait as long as I did as some juices seeped out of the bottom corners of the box. My dad loves lemon desserts and he loved this one. He said it's like bread pudding. A very dense one. There's no weird aftertaste that many sugar free desserts or sodas have. I really couldn't tell it was sugar free! Everyone loved it. I opted for pickup instead of delivery since I was heading that way anyway. Parking is tough. I ended up parking in a red zone at the corner a few houses away and got a little worried but I was able to pick it up within 5 minutes without getting a ticket. Whew! Ordered directly from the website and got a text once the order was ready for pickup. The minute Veronica opened the door, a cloud of baked goods hit my nose and I was in heaven. I really had to refrain myself from eating it as soon as I got back to my car. I had to put it in my trunk to avoid temptation. Picked it up on a Friday and had to hide it from myself until Sunday for Father's Day! Looking forward to trying other items on the menu.
