The food at this place is great. I prefer the fish and chips out of all the menu items. If you want to have a good appetizer I recommend scotch eggs. customer service level is on pat compared to some of the pubs I've been to. The ambience has a little bit of an Irish pub feel to it. Nice restaurant in downtown Pueblo. Plenty of options on tap and a great place to meet up for beers. A good variety of dishes on the menu: Irish Pot Roast, Shepherds Pie, Boxty, Fish and Chips, and one of my favs Green Chili Mac. Very busy place!! One of my few complaints is that there's not much room to wait for a table. I felt like I was constantly in the way of servers passing by and others also standing around waiting for a table. It does help that most of the bar area is open seating and if you get lucky you can bypass the wait. Most staff is friendly but I have had a run in with a few rude female bartenders that made me feel like I was a nuisance. Gave me the feeling that I was being ignored and rushed like they had bigger tips to look after. Overall I love the food and beer and would recommend them to others. read more

I don't live in Pueblo and discovered this place when passing through several months ago. I decided to stop in again when headed to Santa Fe. This place is FANTASTIC! It was even better this time. It has the tradition Irish pub decore and feel with a nice cozy fireplace in the back for those cold Colorado winters. Lotsa tvs, a large bar and spacious dining area. The is also a large glass partition where you can see the fermentation tanks and watch the brewing process....pretty cool. There is a great selection of beers and the food is great as well. The Scotch eggs where soooo good. Our waitress, Elinore was on point with everything! She and all the waitresses looked as delicious as the food. I would give them 6 Stars if I could. Excellent food and service! Party of 5 and a toddler and everyone was happy. That never happens! We ordered Stuffed Pretzels and Scotch Eggs to start and they were both great. Pretzel definitely had a spicy kick! Scotch Eggs were great. Entrees ordered were Vegetarian Boxty, Meatloaf (x2), shepherds pie, and fish & chips. ALL WERE EXCELLENT. Would totally be back. Not shy with their portion sizes! Even the toddler ate his corn dog and chips (also never happens)! Waiter was super helpful and friendly. All the beers and root beer was great also! Convinced the kids to try something new while on vacation in Colorado. Pueblo doesn't really scream "Ireland Southwest" but this place was absolutely incredible. Started with Scottish Eggs and Ruben Egg Rolls for the apps. Both were excellent starters to break in the kids's palette. I had the Irish Beef Boxty for the first time. The meat was so tender and juicy, (my mouth is watering again now thinking about it), the gravy inside the Boxty and on top were both rich and full of flavor and the side veggies were well seasoned. My son tried the Corned Beef Club. After sampling his sandwich, I was slightly jealous. Mounds of meat, tangy sauce, and the side of Irish Champ was fantastic. Great food, cool atmosphere, fair prices for the portion size. If I lived in this city, this would be a weekly stop! read more

I got carry out, and did not try any of their beer. I paid $17 for a "beyond" burger sans the cheese and some sweet potato waffle fries. That's way too steep. My burger was either 1. Not truly a beyond burger, but a lesser veggie patty or 2. So overcooked that it was no longer recognizable as a beyond burger. The fries were fine, but I literally could have gotten an over cooked veggie burger at Burger King for much cheaper. The service was not great over the phone or on pickup. read more

Sad to say we stopped in Pueblo. We were hungry and the locals said, go down to the river walk area there are lots of restaurants. It was 8:45 on a Thursday night and everything was closed. Lucky for us we had Siri and she said closed place to get food was here. Fish and chips are just okay, fish is very bland, they did not put their own spin on the food. Coleslaw was bland - order your food without it. Papa Aka pueblo IPA - blah, Not much taste and just not a great beer. Owner was very nice to us so was waitress but that does not make up for the bland food. read more

Eat here! The food was so good. We had the pot roast and the beef boxty. I ordered the extra gravy and it was worth it. Both came with the fresh veggies and we loved it all. Cleaned our plates. The service was excellent. Jordan was kind and on top of things. Finally, loved the beer. And we are particular with craft beer. Have had a lot and a lot of people think they can make beer and they can't. Get the Red. Hard to find and was yummy. Good atmosphere as well. Came for brunch with my husband on Saturday. The server was very sweet and nice. We order the pretzels, to start. The dip was yummy but the Pretzel was warm but center was ice cold. I ordered the corned beef with hollandaise and poached eggs. I literally threw up mid meal but it not only looked like slop on a plate but it was just not good. My husband had the boxty which was a omelette wrapped in a potato pancake. It was not worth the price we paid. Brought up issues with waitress and she looked like a deer in headlights. The last 3 times my wife and I went to The Shamrock we were left standing at the podium waiting to be seated for an extended amount of time. We are always led to the worst table locations and are forced to demand better seating which always results in a dirty look from the host/hostess. The last time we were led to the table in the corner next yo the glass divider for the brew room. When we asked to be reseated the host simply walked to the table in the middle of the doorway separating the bar from the dining room where every patron and server must pass to get into the dining room. We simply left and will never return for rude service in a restaurant with mediocre food. read more

I've only been here once, but really enjoyed it. My sister (maid of honor) actually set up my bachelorette party here, so we were able to rent their outside patio area. It was just our group, so we were able to break out and be ourselves. They have a hamburger that has peanut butter on it, and that is what I had when I was there. I recommend it - unless you have a hard time swallowing thick things. My grandmother couldn't handle the consistency of it, the agreed that the flavor was great. read more

We sat ourselves after being completely ignored by wait staff. I ordered a Black and Blue Steak Salad and about 10 minutes after ordering was told that they were out of blue cheese crumbled. When I told the waitress I wanted to change my order she rushed away to "tell the chef to stop prep." I then asked for a menu so I could select something else. Again, met with a cold response, to only be out-chilled by the cold bowl of soup. I was afraid to send it back. My sister had a Reuben and asked for horseradish. The waitress brought a cup of the table mustard warmed up. There was about a tablespoon of sauerkraut on the whole sandwich. All in all, returning to a much favored restaurant after a 2 year absence was terribly disappointing in the food category and equalled by the less-than hospitable service. read more
