I came here for pick up after my friend had called in to put her order in. My friend warned me that our order could be messed up as the host seemed to be confused to what my friend was ordering. Sure enough, the order was indeed incorrect. I didn't mind that the order was incorrect because after all everyone makes mistakes. What frustrated me the most was the manager insisted that I was the one who ordered incorrectly. She literally made me feel like an idiot and was scolding me for my 'mistake.' The manager told the hostess that the mistake was my fault. No joke, right in front of me and other customers. After a 50 minute wait for my food, she had the audacity to tell me I had to pay more for my order. Though it was only a mere three dollars addition to my tab, but seriously, come on, I just wanted my food. Any who, after another 10 minutes, my order was finally ready and corrected. i gave this 3 stars got there and decent atmosphere, its not the ritz, but clean ordered a veggie lunch dish, mind you, they do not have the typical combo plates that most chinese restaurants have,so i opted for a veggie plate, i dont eat dark meat appetizer of spicy wonton was swimming in sauce.it was just over lukewarm. drinks were just soda, so you cant really mess that up too much food was fresh customer service was good, friendly bread for the table and maybe some hot tea for customers would be nice. read more

I would have liked to give this Chinese restaurant a 4, it was clean and the food was good. The meat was very good but was so salty I burnt my tongue. I was wondering if it was the way it was supposed to be cooked but by the end I concluded that it was just far too much salt or something. Took my mom to this place for lunch yesterday. Although the place has been open for almost two months, they are surprisingly unprofessional. Our waitress came up to our table and just stood there. We had to engage her by greeting her and telling her we would like tea. Later, when she was clearing away our soup bowls, she wasn't able to carry more than two things. She was nice enough, though. We ordered the sushi and maki lunch which was sketchy at best. The nori (seaweed) was stale, which made it chewy. The worst part of the meal was that the raw fish was WARM. Sushi should never be WARM, it's an abomination. I've had better sushi at the Market Basket in North Andover. The second awful thing of the meal was that partway through there was a loud argument from the kitchen between two females. It was so loud that you could hear every word. As it turns out, one of the arguing females was the manager- yes, that's right, the manager decided to initiate a loud argument during restaurant hours within earshot of customers over the employee's personal life- something about playing mahjong with strangers and buying bagels- I kid you not. I have to be honest; food here is one of the worst that I've had. Now maybe it's my tastes, but the Crab Rangoon tastes nothing like what I've had before at restaurants such as Chen Yang Li and Lilac Blossom. The waitstaff wasn't well organized and bickered for a few minutes before finally bringing me to my table. Drink were alright, but it's been better. I just recently got a take out menu from the mail and noticed that it looks the same as the one I got from Chen Yang Li a few weeks ago. I have ordered from here before and it's normally good food. My boyfriend and I ordered from here the other night for an early dinner. After waiting two hours for our food to be delivered a woman finally calls us saying she been driving around trying to find our building (we live in a very simple to get to apartment no one has ever had trouble with before). We provide her instructions on which building and how to get to our door. She then calls us again saying she can't find a door with a buzzer. My boyfriend and I go outside in hopes we will see her drive by after 15 minutes of not seeing her we call her again. Where then she tells us we must come find her. Keep in mind it's snowing out and freezing. We find her w our Chinese food standing in a snow bank next to a dumpster not even the building. The woman is clearly under the influence and has her car full of other people I'm assuming friends blasting music. By this time our food is ice cold and insanely soggy. Some how every container is broken and spilled all over each other. Disgusting and inedible by the time it reached us. Not to mention we didn't even feel safe eating it. Ok 2-1/2 stars. We ordered general Tao chicken white meat. Strips of chicken in a light batter and fried crispy. The sauce was too sweet and gooey. Lacked any heat. The ginger chicken with string beans should have been called string beans w a little chicken. The dish was good when it came out but became mushy from all the extra sauce. Laura and Jenny have succeeded in giving the customer a friendly atmosphere, great food and great service. The Mai Tais are the best I have ever tasted. They offer traditional dishes and help you understand exactly what they are. For Karin W., all you had to do was to go to Laura or Jenny when you had concerns that the waitstaff did not understand your food allergy, simple as that. We have been going to Shanghai Osaka since they opened and have found no need to go back to other resturants we used to serving Asian food. I would suggest you give this wonderful resturant a try and see for yourself just what kind of great food and friendly atmosphere they truly have. read more

I haven't had this kind of food since in China. My wife, who is from China loved it as did I. We had a fish dish and a chicken dish which were very spicy and garlic laden. I highly recommend the food as it was very much like we used to have in China, flavorful, spicy and delicious. My Wife is from Wuxi and this food was very similar to what we had in Shanghai and westward in Wuxi. We will come again often read more

My boyfriend and I dined here on Wednesday April 29th and we had an amazing experience. We were greeted with friendly faces as we made out way towards the bar. Michelle was amazing and took our order and made out drinks in less than 2 minutes. She was very friendly and even asked our names and continuously came over to us using our names asking how everything was, very personable and made us feel welcomed. Jenny (the owner) then introduced herself and also asked us our names. The staff and food here is amazing. Definitely a beautiful place filled with colorful paintings and awesome decor. I have been to this restaurant several times now and the food is always top-notch, with friendly service, and great Mai Tais! I will definitely be a regular here. There is so much to choose from on the menu, it will take me a while to work my way through it. The luncheon specials are a great bargain, they include choice of soup, appetizer, and rice with the meal. The crab rangoon is absolutely the best, as is the General Tso's chicken and Orange Beef! If you are looking for great Chinese food or sushi in the Nashua area, this is the place to go. read more

My husband and I have been in this place 3 times. The food is really good and very reasonably priced. The chef's sushi combos were delicious and artfully styled. Last time I had Lady Pink sushi and scallion pancakes, both of which were delicious. The atmosphere is not extremely upscale and the place is somewhat dimly lit, however, it is very clean, not at all busy, with a nice and quite music playing. The service is good, friendly and unobtrusive. Definitely my fav neighborhood place for Chinese and sushi. read more

Terrible service and shameless price gauging. Had to ask for silverware, straws etc. when ordering specially priced appetizers, was told that I had to order alcoholic bev to get the price. When the check came, I questioned the overcharge. After pretending and arguing, the "fixed" the error by correcting appetizer price, but increasing drinks prices in the "corrected" check for a higher amount! When I questioned the cashier directly, there were scowls and condescending dialogue in Chinese among the staff. They r not getting my business again. I plan to complaint to BBB. read more

Saw the reviews of this place and people are saying the food is 'authentic' Chinese food, I figured I should check it out while I'm near by. Whoever claimed this place has authentic and non-Americanized Chinese food, perhaps you should refresh your memory by taking a trip to China, or you just never had authentic Chinese food. As a Chinese myself, the only thing that's authentic about this place is the sub-par service you get. The food is OK, that's why there are two stars, but it's far from authentic Chinese food other reviews and the restaurant itself claim. Case and point, they made Cumin Lamb with cumin powder, lamb, along with green and red pepper. I mean, who does that? You are suppose to use cumin seeds, and no red and green peppers. Let alone authentic Chinese restaurants, the non-authentic ones don't even do this. This place was a huge disappointment, just another westernized Chinese restaurant, that's all. read more

My fiance and I received a menu for this place in the mail recently and thought we'd give it a try as it's a few minutes down the street from where we live in Nashua. Typically when we get Chinese, we go to Lilac Blossom, which has amazing food and great service. But, we thought we'd try something different. First of all, the woman who answered the phone when I called in our take-out order asked me to hold on about four times during the course of the conversation. When I asked her what was in a specific dish listed on the menu, she said "hold on" again and disappeared; then came back and asked what else I wanted other than the dish I had just asked her about -- which I didn't even say I wanted yet; I wanted to know what was in it first -- so I asked her again. She again told me to hold on and then started telling me, one thing at a time, the ingredients in the dish as someone in the background told them to her. Then, she told me I couldn't use my $5 off coupon that came with the menu because my pre-tax total did not come to $30 (but, my total after tax did). However, she then said she would apply the coupon anyway. When I arrived to pick up the food, the total ended up being about $4 more than what she had told me it would be over the phone, so I had to go out to the car and get more money. The restaurant was practically empty, and yet the service was very slow and disorganized. The woman in front of me was upset because she too had seemingly been given the wrong total and had a $3 balance to pay. There was a gentleman waiting at the bar for a drink and he was told the bartender was not there at the moment and nobody else there was allowed to serve alcohol. Another gentleman walked in to pick up his takeout and they almost gave him the wrong order, then told him that his must not be ready yet. So, the service was pretty bad overall. The food was okay, but definitely nowhere near as good as Lilac Blossom (and, the prices are similar). The "Amazing Chicken" tasted more like curry than Chinese food. The sauce on the boneless spare ribs was weird tasting. The crab rangoons were small and practically empty, and the scallion pancakes were flat and there were hardly any scallions in them. The only thing that I thought was pretty decent was the pork fried rice. Overall, not very impressed with this place. I know they're still new, but the food is not worth the hassle of the poor service. read more

OK FINALLY we found good Chinese food in Nashua. We have lived on the west coast and traveled all around the Pacific rim. We're very familiar with China towns in San Francisco, New York, and Houston. Until now, we have been very disappointed in all the choices here in Nashua. It has been too westernized, too bland, too greasy, and blah, blah blah. We had given up and decided that good food required a trip to Boston. But we were wrong. This place is not easy to find, hidden from Daniel Webster, but worth the search. The "special" Chinese menu is on target for really good Chinese food. The sushi was good as well. It was very fresh and well made. Yes the kitchen was slow. The table service was friendly and attentive, but clearly the kitchen needs to pick up the pace. However, I suspect that the sparse clientele make the owner reluctant to hire more staff. But, if you're not in a rush, the wait is well worth it. Note to owner: hire more people. Your business will pick up. Some advertizing would help. We found this place by accident. But is was a great find. The other places in Nashua, CYL, OB, HK, YY, (you know the places) do yourselves a favor and just go to the frozen food section and buy a frozen entree from P.F. Chang's. Not that that is any good, but it is better than your getting at the other Nashua Chinese restaurants. Changhai Osaka is the real deal. read more
