I've been to this coffee shop a couple of times now and I really enjoy my time. It's a very clean and aesthetically pleasing place. The coffee comes from a verity of places such as South America and Ethiopia if I recall correctly. Price ranges are not too pricy, very well worth it the quality of the coffee. Sorry, but this just wasn't for me. I'm giving a star because the lemonade was quite good and another because the interior was rather cute. I got a matcha latte with oat milk and frankly, the matcha taste was faint and little along the lines of green tea ice cream flavored, so quite sweet and sugary. The latte was exceedingly bitter and didn't go down as smoothly as one would expect from a good latte. The lemonade with strawberries was good though, delightfully fizzy and lightly sweet. I would recommend this above the other drinks I tried. The menu was a little hard to read as well because of the cluttered items. The interior though cute, was quite dim and gave a little bit of a foreboding aura. The vibes just weren't there when I went, I was a little hesitant when I went. Hopefully it was just because of the pandemic because when I used to drive past this cafe, I always wanted to go because it looked adorable. The baristas were rather average in their service, maybe a little off day, but otherwise quite alright with helping us out aside from maybe a bit of reluctance. I came here to study on a Saturday night thinking that it would be super packed (assuming from the pictures), but luckily it wasn't! I was able to grab a table and study! The environment was super chill and everyone in there was either studying or catching up with their friends. I ordered the iced lavender latte and it was actually good! I'm surprised that it didn't taste too florally, but i didn't mind because it had the right amount of both floral and sweetness. For future reference, if you want the cute logo on the cups, order your drinks TOGO! I loved the concept of the hashtag for this shop, so I'm excited to go back and get the Togo cups haha. I would say a potential downside to this place would be the lack of tables??? I haven't experienced not having a table just yet (I'm pretty sure i will someday because k-town coffee shops are always packed). The cafe is a great place to study; a relaxed atmosphere. Most of the people that come here are studying too. The drip, cold brew, and espresso are all pretty good. I always order the cold brew, which is one of the best I've tried. I haven't tried the other specialty drinks. Music is ok. Sometimes country music starts playing right after a rap song but it's not a big deal, just thought it was funny. There is not a lot of seating but it's understandable. The cafe is not that big. If there's something you can take away from this review, it is: DO NOT PARK in the K3 parking structure behind this cafe. They charged $5 to park for 3 hours and accuse you of not paying when you're about to leave. After reading other reviews, it seems like they charge different prices depending on how they feel. You are better off paying valet or $10 somewhere else. Other than that, awesome cafe! read more

This is an excellent place to get work done and sip on a variety of delicious drinks. They have so much seating, and I always leave feeling productive and having checked several items off of my to-do list! My favorite drinks here are their Jasmine tea: very flavorful and the tea bag lasts several pours if you keep adding hot water, and their iced almond milk latte: strong and delicious flavor while creamy from the almond milk. I highly recommend this place for either a yummy caffeine boost or a productive study spot! read more

I stumbled upon this coffee shop while waiting to grab dinner with a friend nearby. As I walked t, I felt a very relaxed ambiance inside the coffee shop and it was so pleasantly quiet compared to most. I ordered the Golden Green becaude I was feeling sick and wanted something hot and herbal. The tea itself had a great taste and I enjoyed every sip of it while grading papers. I believe this place is a great spot to do any work or just to relax but parking is hard if you don't want to park valet in the neighboring parking lots. With that said, I ordered the Honey Cinnamon Latte for whatever reason in my heart that prompted an expectedly sugary & milky drink... It was a solid 3/5 stars. Cute coffee shop in Koreatown! I really liked the layout of the interior. There were several different seating areas and all of them were busy. It seems like a place people like to go in groups and socialize for a while. I loved all the plants inside. The barista was really nice and I had a tasty cappuccino. It wasn't as strong as I normally like my coffee but it was pretty good. I also tried the iced honey cinnamon latte which was very good! Highly recommend it on a hot day. Cute place! read more

This is the cutest new addition to the plethora of K-town cafes. The ambiance is perfect for sipping on your latte and getting a couple hours of work done. Everyone who was there on a Saturday afternoon had their heads in their iPads, laptops or books. The place is as adorable as it is quiet. Table seating is plenty, as are outlets, and modern furniture and couches are in the back for a more relaxed vibe. I cannot wait to come back to this place. I ordered their latte, which was phenomenal and very strong. My friend ordered their iced Blue Flower Earl Grey tea, which was beyond refreshing. The only downside is that their WiFi is not reliable -- it could be because everyone in there was using it. Regardless, be prepared to use your cell phone data instead. Parking is not provided, so you're on your own to park in a nearby lot or find street parking (but really, this is just expected and not any reason to lower any stars). read more

Super cute coffee shop - minimalistic interior, good drinks, nice ambiance. It's def a good study/meeting spot. I had their lavender latte, which was pretty good. It seems like flowery coffee is a trending drink right now, at least in k-town. I'm sure it's not an issue all the time, but when I was there, they had an issue with their square payment system so it took a bit for them to process my payment. Not a big deal though. 4-stars because they have a pretty spotty wi-fi. It comes on and off so I had to connect via my personal hotspot. read more

So happy this is in the hood! The pour over coffee selection is wonderful (some bias since I'm from SF, where Sightglass originated). I love places that state coffee processing and tasting notes. Great for those who are serious about coffee, but also gives an idea to those who are not as well-versed. They also have a great selection of espresso-based drinks if that's what tickles your fancy (lavender latte, honey cinnamon latte, Spanish latte are a few that caught my eye). I LOVE how spacious this place is. Great place to get work done ambiance-wise, as you don't feel like you're crammed into a tiny space. Outlets available and speedy WiFi. Came here because I was trying to see what is new in K-Town. I was going to go to Curiosity Coffee but wanted to give this place a try. I ordered a latte and the coffee was pretty good. I was very pleased. The price is reasonable. The coffee did take a bit longer than I expected. Not sure why. The atmosphere is nice. People studying but I don't know if it is the best place to study. Wow! Finally a coffee house which got it right! The name # (musically speaking) is very clever.... This place serves Sightglass Specialty coffee from San Francisco. My order was: lavender latte and a chai doughnut. Both perfect. I find the atmosphere at Sharp to be inspiring, original, clean, and minimal minus the dull / sterile vibe at the common hipster joints. The owners and baristas (if they are still called that the days) are kind, attentive, friendly, and helpful. The tables, chairs, couches, and counter space are perfectly situated; and the decor, colors, layout, and high ceilings add a balance of tranquility and vibrant energy to the atmosphere. One can really appreciate the varieties and styles of music which are tasteful and conducive to work, studying, relaxing, reading, et al. I would love some folk / mellow alternative added to the mix. (The Shins, Chvrches, Gregory Alan Isakov, Band of Horses, etc). But if they don't, I will still stop by this establishment :) To top things off, Sharp displays a beautiful selection of magnificent greenery. Did you know plants aide in the purification of indoor pollutants? I counted at least 12 which are aesthetically situated. read more

I didn't notice any parking structure, but there was plenty of metered street parking right out front on a Thursday afternoon. I owed my admin a chai latte so they popped up on yelp. Their actual store is nice and they did a great job with the design of it. It was really modern/hip and they had a nice space set up for working remotely. The menu looked good but there was no description on their specialty drinks. What's in the Spanish latte? I couldn't personally attest to how the chai tasted, but I prompted my admin and she shrugged and said "good". So to me I'll take that as average. Being a barista/coffee snob myself, I love finding new specialty/artisan coffee shops near me. I stumbled across this little gem in Koreatown. I wish I had found this place sooner! I have decided to follow a more organized review method for coffee shops. The criteria I will be reviewing will be 1. Coffee (flavor to cost ratio); 2. Location (parking included); 3. Interior decoration/ambiance; and 4. Employees' extensive knowledge of coffee. 1. Coffee 5/5: Great flavor. They use top quality beans/equipment to try and bring the customer a sensational caffeinated experience. They carry a wide variety of beans and from what I know, they like to rotate with different types/origins so it was really nice knowing that they're actively staying updated with the latest coffee/flavor/bean trend. 2. Location 3.5/5: It's Koreatown so you can't expect everything to be perfect. They do have a parking lot (2$ to park I think) with the entrance on Kenmore so you don't have to scrounge around for street parking. It is also kind of hidden so if you're not the most attentive person, you may find it a little difficult to find this particular location. Honestly though, it could be far worse in terms of location/parking. Street parking is a little tough to find but still available nearby. 3. Interior deco/ambiance 4.5/5: The only complaint I would have is the size/study space available. In order to avoid looking too crowded (is what I'm guessing), they've opened up plenty of ground space. They do have 2 different sets of bar, 1 by the door/window and 1 by the brewing area so it's not too bad but I wish they had more tables/space where I can study because it can get packed here and there. Wifi also doesn't disconnect and is reliable! Which is very important for students like me who might be taking a quiz or exam online at a cafe... 4. Employees 5/5: FANTASTIC. I happened to come in on a day that Jieun(? I forget what her name is) was working and we had a nice chat about coffee and beans. I came in expecting to try a cold brew (Ethiopian) because that's my go-to but she informed me of their special beans they were carrying and provided me with extensive and thorough information on the various types of beans and their origins. She recommended that I try Sight Glass (WHICH I LOVE)'s Kenya over ice and needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. She is a licensed barista and it was nice sharing conversation about coffee. TL;DR Great place, great coffee, tolerable location/parking. They do play vibey music that's not too intrusive or loud and is a nice place to catch up with friends and/or study whilst sipping on fantastic coffee. I know many people wrote about the prices and how expensive it was but it compares well with other specialty coffee shops all around LA. Other restaurants/Starbucks charges more and honestly, great tasting coffee is always worth it. Will definitely be coming here more often! read more

Is it the best cup in Los Angeles? Or even in Koreatown? I couldn't tell you. I haven't had them all. What I can tell you is that Sharp Specialty Coffee is examplary of what the specialty coffee industry can be, ennobling a local scene deluged with sub-par chains peddling convenience over quality. The space itself is everything I want in a modern cafe. Minimal and spacious. No frills yet intentional. A muted design allows you to settle in comfortably all while keeping your focus where it belongs. In the cup. High quality, beautifully maintained equipment paired with the measured hand of the barista and a conscious coffee selection. The final cup is both deliberate and delicious. From their expertly executed lattes and single origin pourovers to their non-coffee options like their teas and lemonades, you're sure to find something to wet your whistle. I'm not a tea drinker personally, but their tea selection and service method makes me reconsider the occasional loose leaf brew. I will never not return to Sharp. read more

They serve stereoscope espresso, coava and sightglass pourovers that come in ethiopia, columbia, guatemala and nicaragua! They really know what they are making with their coffee. The environment and ambiance is very modern and warm because there are a lot of plants sitting around. There are plenty of comfortable seating and a generous amount of outlets for your computers. We came across this coffee shop after dinner and had a pleasant experience hanging out and enjoying a cup of coffee, or in my case, a cup of green tea matcha latte, and dessert. There was a lovely seating area that was conducive for late night conversations and to hang out with good, old friends. They were open until 11pm and we were the last few ones to leave but the whole time we were there, we weren't rushed or bothered. Our desserts were half off, probably since it was already late. I'm not quite sure of the name of our scrumptious sweets but they were pleasantly wonderful and not too overwhelming. My friend had me take a sip of the lavender coffee and I must say, it not only smelled great but tasted wonderful as well. I'll be coming back to try a cup for myself next time. read more

I really liked their minimal Scandinavian interior design and their simple logo. I got the iced vanilla latte and surprisingly it was the best iced vanilla latte in my life! I always get vanilla latte whenever I go to coffee shops because I can't drink black coffee. It's pretty quiet place so I would go back to do some work on my laptop. The location is like in the middle of the street which is kind of awkward but I'm used to going to valet parking lot for jopok toppoki so I just parked there and told them I'm just picking up so I don't have to pay for valet.
