Very professional and clean - yeah, I know that's to be expected at a hospital, but you know there's a big difference between levels of 'professional' and 'clean', and I'd say this hospital definitely ranks best out of the 6-10 I've been encountered in my life. My surgeon said he can't do as many surgeries in a day at this hospital compared to the other one in town. At the other one, patients are pushed through a lot faster -which he likes - but he understood that from the patient's perspective it's probably better not to be ran through as quickly. Personally, I LIKE to know I'm not on a conveyor belt for surgery, but being cared for in the best way. I'd choose them again. Kudos to everyone who is patient facing at Mercy Medical!

When I asked if I could get a pillow for my wife and I, I was literally told to go look for it myself. None of the staff takes any initiative and the only way we have made progress through our visit is by us asking the staff to do things. For example we were told that we needed to wait for an ultrasound review. After waiting for 2.5 hours, we asked if they knew anything and they were like... oh yeah we've known for a bit, everything looks fine. Seriously? You didn't think it would be important to tell us that? It's the only emergency room around, but that's no excuse for the absolutely horrendous service/care we've received. There was one male nurse who was very helpful, but he's the only positive part of this experience.

He had…read morebeen seen at Mercy Medical the day prior and not gotten the best care or his condition very carefully explained. We went to Hilltop for a second opinion. He registered online in the morning around 10 am, we headed into the clinic around 1pm to be seen. The clinic was swamped. They had been busy all day and we had to wait, they were very apologetic, they had called in all the staff they good and most of the staff were incredibly friendly even though it was a very busy Saturday. They let me wait with him in the lobby which was nice since his eye was involved he could really drive himself. He got called back at around 4:00pm into the exam room. I didn't catch the Medical Assistants name but she was nice and professional and kind. Dr Swanson was wonderful, I have been in the Redding area my entire life and he was by far the best urgent care doctor I have ever met. He was thorough in his exam, and he took his time to answer all our questions as well as come up with a treatment plan to address my husbands medical needs. It was so incredibly busy and he didn't make us feel rushed or dismissed and after the last few days that was so appreciated. The LVN, I believe her coworkers were calling her "Row" was also very professional and kind and by the time she was helping my husband it was after closing time and she was still very nice even after what looked to be a long day. So yes, we waited a long time. We were in the building from 1:30-5:15pm. It was the only urgent care open on a Saturday, what else could we expect? The staff was awesome, the building was fine, seemed clean. Cost was fair as far as medical goes for this area. I usually avoid urgent cares in the area due to bad experiences but after this experience I could see myself giving Hilltop Medical another shot if my family ever needs care and our primary doctor isn't available.

Had an appointment, sat in the lobby for 30 minutes, then sat in our 'room' for just shy of an hour. Doctor finally came in and said they "forgot" about us. A few weeks go by, wife needs to go in again to get a referral to the next place we have to go in the chain of specialists, appointment made, wide sits in the waiting room for 1hr and 40 minutes over the appointment time. All to get a referral both times. Quite literally needed to speak to a doctor for less than 30 seconds on both occasions. What a joke of an office, wow.

It took well over an hour and it got to the point where even the lady at the front desk had to go check why i hadn't been called back yet. Once i finally got taken back i was in the room for not even a full 3 minutes with the Doctor Justin. He wouldn't let me finish a sentence and kept talking over me as i was trying to explain my symptoms. He told me he was prescribing me an antibiotic that does not work for me as he was opening the door to leave the room. I explained that I've taken it many times before and i no longer respond well to that medicine. All he said was "thanks for letting me know". He did not explain or say anything about the alternative medicine he would be prescribing to me. It then took the office over 6 hours to send my prescription to my pharmacy. I had to call them 3 times asking them to push it through because i was in pain and needing my medicine. I just kept being told that it would "only take a couple hours". Finally once i was able pick It up is when i found out he prescribed me something completely different than what he told me in person in the office. Overall i felt extremely dismissed and unheard. I left extremely upset.

First, while I…read morethought the receptionist, Sheree, seemed very nice, she was smoking when I came up to the building (and it was in the middle of a very dry summer right by the bushes.) On principle, since I was desperately trying to find a "holistic" provider since reallocating from Washington, this alone should have deterred me. But, I decided to give them a try even knowing that they would not accept my Blue Shield insurance. I made my decision in large part because as Sheree said, "if you are healthy the top end of a visit each year will not be much more anyway". Yeah... Like the other reviewer said-buyer beware. I had my visit, but then found out that if I were to do a PAP smear through their office, it would be just shy of $150.00 or, if I went to a preferred provider and had them order the test it would be "0". No brainer, right? Even when I shared this with Sheree she said, yes, go to the free place. She ended up denying this however, because when I went to get my birth control pill filled from Katie, the owner and nurse practitioner, she said, no way would she order me more than an emergency supply since I did not use her for the Pap smear!!! As I write this, almost a year later, I am still in shock and deeply horrified by this, As I said to her then this is extortion-plain and simple, and from a medical provider no less, unbelievable and 100% true. She then had the audacity to write me a letter dismissing me from her practice. Of course, i never would have returned anyway and still can not believe this person remains in practice. I could fill a complaint with the medical board, but, due to life's time constraints, I have not yet done so. Jaw dropping, unethical service. If anyone has any recommendations on a competent, ethical preventive, holistic MD, FNP or DO, would love to know names.
