Review for Salt and Pepper - 3/5 Stopped by Salt and Pepper for a quick bite. The customer service was okay--not rude, but definitely not a warm or welcoming greeting either. As for the food, it was decent overall. The Greek salad was fresh and had a good balance, and the chicken kabob had nice flavor, though nothing that would knock you out of your shoes. For a food court option, it's passable and fills the spot if you're hungry, but don't expect to be wowed.

I got the shawarma plate with sides. Instead of getting the chicken from the spit she filled from a container that seemed pre cut. The chicken was totally dry, crumbly and didn't taste fresh. Salad and hummus were fine.

Great option for a healthy meal at the mall! Sult'an Pepper is cafeteria style, with various combo options for entrees and sides, and options fresh to order. I got a chicken kebab pita wrap with a side greek salad. The chicken kebab was moist and flavorful, the side salad was fresh and crisp. The meal was about $14, not bad a for a healthy filling meal.

Stopped in for a quick lunch while shopping at Memorial City Mall. Service was greet. The staff were warm and friendly. Answered all my questions. I got a small Greek salad and a chicken shawarma wrap. The wrap is pressed like a panini and perfectly warmed when enjoying. I didn't love that my lettuce was warm but it was delicious. I love all the fresh options they have here and will be back! The perfect lunch!

I want to tell you how bad your taste in food is, but that would just be in-sultan you, so I'm not going to. One of the very best options available inside the Memorial City food court, and I' m not saying it's the best you can get - especially not in Houston - but if you want to eat inside this mall you should definitely choose this over a lot of the other options which are not so good.

My wife and I were looking for a quick lunch on the healthy side. We decided to give Sultan Pepper a try. There display was beautifully presented and everything looked fresh. E weren't disappointed. My gyro was huge. Lots of beef & lamb and with lettuce tomato & onion. Delicious. FUI, the server carefully weights the gyro meat to be sure everyone gets the right sized serving. My gel salad was crisp, with plenty. Cheese, tomato, pepperoni and just the right amount of dressing. ( not drowning the lettuce). My wife loved her sultan plate with chicken and had some left over for take home. We'd certainly recommend giving Sultan & Peoper a try. It offers hood food and good value. That's a winning combination.

I hadn't been in this place in a while. I chose the falafel platter for $7.57. It's falafel pieces served over rice and lettuce and tomatoes. The staff person who served me had his mask down. The falafel pieces are very salty. I don't think I'll get falafel again. The owner/manager told me I won't like it the next time then because that's how it's prepared. The taste won't change he said. I find that to be a weird reply to my saltiness comment.

Spicy Chicken Shawarma Wrap - perfectly griddled pita.

Never thought I'd be reviewing a place located in the food court of a mall but here we are. The people behind the counter are so friendly and I am always impressed by the freshness of the food. The salads, meats, pita, etc. is always on point. The chicken shawarma wrap (I get it spicy) is my go to - plenty of filling with a garlicky sauce and the pita is perfectly griddled. My go-to side is the tabouleh salad but they have several other options including a serve-yourself salad bar. Whether you're shopping or work in an office building nearby, I'd certainly recommend this place for a quick, affordable and healthier option in the area!

I was visiting the Memorial mall and randomly came across this place in the food court and I am glad I found this place. I had a great experience both food quality and service. They have nice variety and their meat is awesome, they have halal options and the quantity per serving was good too. The girl at the counter informed me that they having a special and that really was a good suggestions. So please ask if you plan to eat at this place, if they have any lunch special going on? Their Salads were fresh too. I found it very nice when the owner of this place reached out and asked me how my experience is going so far. I would recommend my readers to check this place out if you are near the Memorial Mall on I10 in Houston.

Food court food, shut up! I was hungry, and so I am trying to stay objective with this review. I had meat and two sides lunch special ($8.99). Signature Beef Eggplant, Tabouleh salad, and Spicy Hummus. Everything was fantastic. The eggplant was hot (in heat) and flavorful. The Tabouleh was very fresh and tasty. The Hummus had just the right kick and was served with a warmed pita. It was excellent and so I give five stars for food court food! Wow, very good! The owner told me they plan to open a second location at the Galleria in March.

Really good taboule with very strong fresh parsley flavor and great chicken kebab. I like my baba ganoush a little smokier. Overall a great lunch spot.

It would have been nice if the staff had made it clear or asked if we wanted to add it to our meal. Perhaps there was a mix up with another table. I've shared with family, friends and colleagues about Fadi's and always made a point to stop by even after moving to another State. We visited the Memorial location on Dec 31 and noticed a promotion offering 10% off gift cards with a minimum $50 purchase. I thought this was a great opportunity to share my love of Fadi's with my new real estate agent who helps us out in house hunting! Unfortunately, Francisco, the manager told us they run out of gift cards. Since we were on our way to a friend's dinner in Sugar Land, he suggested we stop by the SL location and speak with the manager there, Shane. Because of Houston traffic and other errands we needed to run before dinner, I called the SL location to explain that we wouldn't make it in time and asked whether we could purchase the gift card the next day, Jan 1. Shane flatly said no--no exceptions since the promotion ended on Dec 31 and then abruptly hung up. I understand year-end accounting considerations, but the complete lack of flexibility (and courtesy) was shocking, especially when this would have been additional revenue for the restaurant. It was not customer-centric at all. To be fair, Francisco at the Memorial location did offer to honor the 10% discount if we came back on Jan 1, but he couldn't guarantee they'd have gift cards available. I mentioned that the Meyerland location would be closest to us, but were told that location has a different owner and doesn't participate in the same promotions. That left us frustrated, especially given our schedule the next day. As for the Memorial location itself: the food was good, service overall was solid, and the layout reminded me of the Katy location. However, the cashier experience could use improvement. She was on the phone while checking us out and clearly multitasking while responding to someone else at the same time. It felt rushed and disorganized, possibly due to understaffing. This visit was around 3:05 pm on Dec 31, so I understand it was a busy day, but it might be worth having additional staff to help with carryout or catering orders. I'm sharing this because I care about Fadi's and want to see the customer experience reflect the quality and reputation the brand has built over the years.

You start off by ordering your choice of protein and then you get to look at a variety of sides, I don't recall all the sides I ordered but they all looked appealing. They also have some more types of starch products getting towards the register. Everything I had today was full of flavor, the chicken kabob was nice and grilled that you could taste the charredness of it. The only thing that could have been improved is keeping the cheese bread underneath a heat lamp since when I bit into it had a leathery texture rather than being soft and gooey. I also got a guava juice that tasted very natural and not a lot of sweetness either.

It's the kind of spot that works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for a relaxed night out with friends or family. We started off with the lentil soup, which was comforting and flavorful--light yet satisfying, with a nice balance of spices. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and elevated even more by the complimentary fresh bread, which came out warm and perfectly baked--easily one of the highlights of the meal. For mains, the Koobideh Combination stole the show. The kababs were juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly, with that classic smoky flavor that makes Persian kabobs so good. Definitely the standout dish and a must-order. The Salmon & Chicken combo was equally impressive--both proteins were tender, nicely grilled, and paired beautifully with the saffron rice and grilled vegetables, giving you a great mix of flavors and textures. We also tried the Soujuk & Cheese Lahmajun, which added a nice twist to the meal. It had a crispy base with rich, savory toppings, and the cheese brought everything together really well--great for sharing. Avesta is a solid go-to for Persian cuisine in Houston. Between the quality of the kababs, fresh bread, and overall flavor, everything hit the mark. Pair that with the great atmosphere and welcoming staff, and it's definitely a place worth coming back to

The rice and grilled tomatoes were standard though the homemade bread was a bit thin and bland. Considering the bold flavors from the other elements of the food, the bread did complement it well. (6.5/10) Overall, the food is very comparable to other restaurants that serve this kind of cuisine.
