    Shay's Steaks - Interior

Shay's Steaks is one of the best Philly cheesesteak shops in Las Vegas. I was in the area visiting the Shelby Museum and was looking for places to eat at around 11:00 A.M on a Sunday. When I saw the new restaurant, Shay's Steaks in Town Square, I had to go try it out. My husband has never had an authentic Philly Cheesesteak before with the sesame roll and cooper cheese. When I saw it listed on the menu, I just had to go! Shay's Steaks is located right next to the AMC in Town Square, though there isn't currently a sign listed. There should be one in a few weeks though. It is family owned restaurant and they ship in their bread from Philly, which is pretty cool! There was only one other customer at the time and they were just opening the restaurant for the day. Looking over their menu, Shay's Steaks has a lot of different options You can craft your own steak sandwich Make a wrap or quesadilla Some of their precrafted signature sandwiches include the Philly Special, Dunkin and more! We ended up getting the following The Classic: Prime Rib, Cooper Sharp Cheese, Buttery Steakhouse Seasoning and the sautéed onions Plain Remi James: It's the classic without onions. Everything was cooked fresh on the flat top. It's also a open kitchen! The cheesesteak with the onions came out first, then the Plain Remi James. Oh the sandwich tasted like I was in Philly having a cheesesteak! It was so good. The sesame roll and the cooper cheese was fantastic! If you're a cheesesteak fan, you should go and try out Shay's Steaks. Their current hours listed on the menu is 7 days a week from 10:30 A.M to 11:00 P.M. I spoke with the manager, and they're planning on opening two more locations in Las Vegas! Food is great here and service is fantastic! I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

It was good. They had only been open about a week so I fully expected things to not be 100% polished and that was the case. Did the food take a long time to come out, yes. Were they very busy, nope. But, they have only been open a week so that is 100% to be expected and okay. They can figure that stuff out easy. The sandwiches were good. They were REALLY good. You can tell that they don't use cheap ingredients with anything they do. I will say, I hope they can figure out how to bring pricing down a little. I get it, things aren't cheap these days, but when I ordered I thought to myself "well, this is spendy, but a sandwich and fries for $20 isn't the end of the world." Yeah, that was just the sandwich. I really hope they make it. They can make one heck of a cheesesteak.

Very impressed with the food!! Steak sandwiches were perfect! Bread was toasted with sesame seeds on top. Full of tender, flavorful meat and Cooper cheese. Fries looked fresh cut and seasoned and HOT. Delicious. Owner, Scott, and his family were there and shared stories of how the store came about. Loved that, I am a people person! Service was exceptional. Seems to be lots of helpful, happy employees. Small place, but very clean, efficient. We will be working our way through the menu. Located below AMC THEATERS AT TOWN SQUARE. Look for sandwich board outside.

Do NOT skip out on this place if you want a true, authentic cheesesteak. We decided to give this place a try and it was incredible. They have different types of meats to choose from, along with different toppings and cheeses, so it's great for all including a picky eater. We did a few make your owns, as well as a grilled cheese, which was equally incredible. Whatever seasoning they use on their fries was good too. At first I thought maybe the fries would be just ok by looking at them but I was pleasantly surprised. The inside isn't too big but comfortable enough for a quick bite to eat. When we went it they are still in their soft opening phase so there's still some improvements being made but don't let that stop you because the food is worth stopping in for! I also have to give a shout out to Leo and everyone who works there, you walk in and they make you feel welcome, which is such a nice change of pace from a lot of places. I truly wish this place much success because it's nice to finally have a place out here with a really great true cheesesteak!

The Best Philly Cheesesteaks in Las Vegas !!! It is located in Town Square, called Shay's Steaks, newly opened near AMC Theater. Family owned, right from Philadelphia. The owner, Scott is from Philadelphia and has treated us like family! He is so energetic , friendly and passionate about his business. He named the restaurant after his Mother, Shay. She'd be so proud. Amazing authentic Philly cheesesteak! The food here is phenomenal. They used top quality meat, cheese & delicious rolls. The cheesesteaks are packed with flavor, the rolls hold up perfectly, and the quality is consistent every time. The cheesesteak was SO GOOD. OH MY GOODNESS. Super tasty, hot and fresh off the grill. The cheese and meat truly just melt in your mouth. Everything about this cheesesteak was amazing. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. A quality cheesesteak! We have tried specialty sandwiches: Great Gabe cheesesteak - A MUST TRY! , Durkin - chicken sandwich in a buffalo sauce and the best steak quesadilla ever! I love that the menu has options for what kind of meat you want as well. I'm not a fan of mystery meat and fake cheese and here you feel like you're getting quality ingredients and a quality meal. This place screams quality. No freezers. All hand trimmed beef in a variety of cuts. Prime Rib. New York Strip. Filet Mignon. American Waygu. You will taste the difference, first with your eyes as your steak comes steaming hot coming off the grill, and next with your mouth as you take that first bite. Tender, tasty and cheesy. Whether you're a traditional cheesesteak person or like to branch out and try some of their specialty creations, everything is mouth watering! What really stands out is that this isn't a place resting on hype. The food delivers. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the team takes pride in what they're doing. The staff is beyond friendly, and if the owner Scott is there , it's next level of kindness. Plenty of seats to enjoy your steak there or take it with you. Enjoy! Highly , highly recommended!!! Came here on Wednesday around 8 PM There was no one in there when I came just myself and the one Worker I'm gonna assume the owners I guess the whole menu is not available he said he could only make me the original because they were still in their soft opening, which I wasn't really aware of which is not really that big of a deal I wanted to start with the original anyways ... the only thing that sucks is I want mushrooms and he said that they had ran out earlier sad face :( since it was just me the order did come out quickly and was nice and fresh !!! The sandwich itself was delicious. I would've loved the mushrooms though, but I will definitely come back to try the other sandwiches. It is definitely top-notch cheesesteak. The only reason why I gave it four stars because it was super hot in there I was sweating :( and because they ran out of mushrooms I love them lol But it is definitely a place I will revisit and try again to try the other sandwiches

Everything was so good here. We got two sandwiches and fries. They get all their stuff straight from Philly. The service was top notch. They noticed we had a toddler with us and immediately just sent out a mini grilled cheese for him. (It was pretty full in there too) the ambiance is definitely lively. Everyone there was enjoying their food. So glad we found a good spot to eat since we are always at town square. I wish them the best. We'll def stop by on our town square runs.

I've lived in Vegas for 15 years and for most of that time I have been searching for a true Philly style cheesesteak. When I saw that Shay's had opened this location I was excited beyond belief. I have been to the original location in Philadelphia and it is definitely one of the best in the city. Scott (the owner) happened to be in today when we went and he is one of the most fun and friendly people you will meet. And he even remembered us from when we visited in Philadelphia last year. So.... Whether or not you live a good cheesesteak, you should go check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

    Dry cheesesteak

I don't know what the hype is all about but my cheesesteak was dry. It was not juicy like it should have been. For a $20 sandwich I expect more but why would you compact the sandwich in a small little box? I don't get it. I been to Philly before and they never pack your sandwich in a box. Should have been rolled and wrapped. As you see in the picture it's just steak and cheese and not juicy. Sorry I'll stick to pops and Lucino. Overall wasn't the best. The waitresses their seems intimidated by the head chef/ or owner. You shouldn't be so loud where your customers hear you yelling across your business. Not the worth $20 for a sandwich in a bow. Pretty small for a cheesesteak.

Nice cheesesteak place opened at Town Square. Food is good for what it is. Price is reasonable. Met the owner and liked how down to earth he is. Ambience well they working on it as they still working on a soft opening I think. But definitely like the direction they took so far. Well I be back? Sure. I tried the prime rib cheesesteak this time and prolly try the Kobe or filet version next time.

Probably the only thing out of Philly that I like. I came shortly after opening and the owner and his helper look like they were unprepared for the crowd of people that showed up. After some time I was able to order and receive The Classic cheesesteak. The three key components that make this the best cheesesteak are the seeded roll, cooper sharp cheese and good quality seasoned meat. What else you need? Maybe mushrooms, but you're gonna have to wait on that as they are still working out the kinks. Must-try place if you like cheesesteaks!

Boardwalk Fries seasoned with old bay and perfectly seasoned cheesesteak

Finally a true East coast place that has brought flavor to Vegas. The fries are piping hot, crispy, and seasoned like being "down the ocean hon!" The cheesesteak was delicious. Perfectly cooked and they even ship the rolls in from Jersey. Makes the whole experience authentic. The owner and his family made my hubby & I feel like we were back home. So welcoming. This will definitely be our go to spot on a regular basis. Thanks for a great time today. We enjoyed talking to everyone.

Experience the best cheesesteaks Vegas has to offer right here! Each flavorful bite is bursting with freshness, complemented by fries that are absolutely mouthwatering. Although my photos can't fully capture this delicious meal, I highly encourage you to try it for yourself--you won't be disappointed. The service is fantastic, and the spotless atmosphere makes your visit even more enjoyable.

What to say about this place except that it is great! Love the vibes and how cozy this spot is,…read moreeveryone working here is approachable and easy to talk to! Shout out to chef for the elite ball knowledge on Akira and Neon Genesis Evangelion! But more importantly, the food here is great! We ordered the wings, and pepperoni pizzas by the slice! Price point I think it's pretty solid and is available until closing (or until they sell out)! Wings were served out quickly, cooked well and juicy! We got the hot wings (normally our order at any spot because me and gf love the buffalo sauce wings). After all was said and done (and eaten), I'd say serving-wise it was good enough for us both for 2 slices of pizza, 8 wings and a soda! Speaking of which, could be hit or miss for y'all but, we did love the Coffee soda! Probably the only shop in vegas I know of (so far) that has this. Gonna try the cream soda next! Keep up the great work y'all! We'll be back very soon!

I have been here several times before for my charcuterie meats and cheeses (not sure why I didn't…read morereview) but my husband and I went there last week while waiting for my kids to finish an activity at UNLV. Everything started out great. They have a kiosk to order when you first enter and we wanted to share a meatball sandwich. The gentleman making the pizza let us know they'd had some issues with orders going through and to check with the person at the cash register to make sure everything processed properly. He looked and said it was good. At that point my husband had seen the sicilian pizza and wanted to see if it was anything similar to his Nana's and asked to add it. The man at the cash register said it would need to be a separate order- no problem- so we paid. We were enjoying the pizza slice while waiting for the sandwich that never came. The guy who was making the pizzas noticed we were still waiting and asked what we had ordered. They said the payment never processed. My husband, rightfully upset at this point, asked what the point was of confirming the order had gone through if they guy wasn't actually confirming it? I finally said I would just pay for the two bottles of water we'd had and go on with our day. The rep offered to still do the sandwich but at this point we had to go get the kids and didn't have time to wait again and then eat. He told the pizza making gentleman (who in my opinion did nothing wrong and was amazing) that this was why he needed to stop telling people and just keep his mouth shut. Ultimately, he was in the wrong. When my husband came to the register to confirm the kiosk order had gone through he should have ACTUALLY confirmed it. The pizza was good, but we won't be back... this is not how you handle customer service situations.

Great Food, Grumpy Service…read more Visited Lardo at the Cosmopolitan food court around 9:20 PM. There were no lines, yet the ordering process felt incredibly unwelcoming. When I asked for a quick prep time estimate, the cashier curtly told me 10-15 minutes, adding an unsolicited "because we're closing soon." Ironically, the food came out in an impressive 5 minutes, and no one else ordered after us (so why the attitude about being busy). The food: The food absolutely hit the spot: Dirty Fries: Hot, crunchy (not burnt), and incredibly tasty. Bronx Bomber Salad: Great balance of flavors with crisp, fresh lettuce. Porchetta Sandwich: Juicy, flavorful pork. Glad I asked for the sauces on the side, as it let the three distinct flavors shine. The Verdict The food is excellent and the kitchen is fast, but the service needs a vibe check. It's also frustrating to be forced into a default 18% | 20% | 22% tip prompt on the screen before experiencing anything other than a cold interaction. I tipped 18% because folks need to make a living, but the front-of-house attitude didn't earn it.
